anonymous Touched By an Angel April 25, 2005 12:34 PM

Have you ever been in the presence of an Angel?
I have, quite a few times.
With Angels it is really quite alot like touched by an Angel (the show).
I was with my Dad when he had to have open heart surgery to live. Dad was having a very hard time deciding on whether or not to have the surgery.
It was a very heart wrenching experience. He cried alot and I kept strong, but at night when he was sleeping and I could take a shower and pray...I sure had it out with the Lord in that shower...as well as times of quiet when I could think my prayers to him.
2wks went by, Dad decided to have the surgery, that day on one of our many walks around the 6th floor of that hospital with his IV in pole in hand, we were approached by a common looking clean cut man, casually dressed,
He came straight up to my Dad and gripped my dad by his shoulders and said "Mr Robert Binkley" smiling so brightly in that hallway, my Dad jokester he was said "why yyyeeesss," grinning. The man says to dad
" You never need worry for I am with you always, you have made the right decision, you can trust in me, I am with you now and always, I will be with you in surgery, and always, never fear, for I am there." My dad said thanks you so much.
I was stunned, we had never seen this man, who is he?  Then the man takes both of my hands and cups them inside his two hands and calls me by my family nickname...he said  "Sister, do not fret, we have heard your prayers from the shower and your prayers will be answered."
I knew, I knew right then but I couldn't move...
My dad goes come on Sister I need to lay down, I said
"Let's thank that nice man. We turned to thank him and He was gone...poof... There was no where for Him to go but...poof.
I looked at Dad and he looked at me and I said we've been touched, daddy, you are going to be just fine, Daddy said hush girl come on, and we went to his room for him to lay down.
Have you ever been touched? I bet you have even if you don't realize it.
Nothing has changed about The Word of God. Anything that has happened in the past can happen today.
You never know when you may be entertaining Angels.
Love and Blessings To All...
Infinitely

I have been in the presence of an angel at least twice. Years ago when I took my boards for Paramedic, all the way to the city where I was going to tested I was praying for divine intervention of some kind. Well the sign came as my waitress , that night in the resturant  i ate my evening meal at. She  was friendly and seemed to know just what i needed to calm my rattled soul at that point.  We talked about why i was in town  , I told her about my boards she told me not to worry because i would pass all of it on the first try , which I did . I went back two nights later to tell her that I had but the resturant said they had no employee by that name. The other tends to appear  when things have been really going bad for me, he came  around alot at onepoint in my life. The last time I saw him I picked him up hitch hiking along the road.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Some of you may know that my kids were critically injured in a car accident.

The older girl was trapped in the car & was left there because a passing motorist offered my Ex a lift to hospital with the younger one who was dying of brain injuries.

Michelle told me years later that she had seen an angel then, and knew everything was going to be all right.  She had been very shocked and frightened, but having seen the angel, she said she wasn't very upset when they had to break her leg to get her out of the car.  She said too that she saw an angel again in her hospital room.  She hadn't mentioned it because she thought everyone could see the angel.

Michelle was named after St Michael the Archangel.  I believe what she told me was true.

The younger girl had been flung out of the back of the car & landed 30yards away - on her head.  She was descalped & had critical brain injuries.  There was a phase that every time I saw her she died just a bit more - the lungs collapsed, then she got pneumonia.  Her kidneys packed up & her brain began to swell & started being forced down her neck vertebrae.

A priest came and anointed her with oil & gave her the Last Rites, and we prepared for her death. I did not dare allow myself to feel anything because I had to hold myself together as a single parent with another conscious injured child in another part of the hospital.

She recovered.  At first, she was paralysed down her left side.  My Alsatian bitches got her walking again by nudging her to her feet & letting her walk between them, holding on to their fur.  She has had plastic surgery to her scars, and if you met her you would never imagine she had had such critical injuries.  She is getting married in 6 weeks.

As a highly qualified nurse, I can say medically, there were no grounds for hope.  Her heart rate was only 23 a minute - for days.  Yet she graduated with Distinctions & is a merry little soul.

I can not doubt.  God intervened miraculously.  There is no other explanation.

Yes me to April 26, 2005 4:46 AM

I have many encounters with angels and 'God but my first one was = (now this has its very funny side to it, yet my life was saved,)

I was in my 20s and married I was driving in the country at aprox 100km hr to my surprise a bee of all things flew into the open window of the car, now i was wearing shorts, and you guessed it the thing went into my shorts and i was looking down worrieing about my health, then I large hand went on top on mine on the steering wheel and turned the wheel, I looked up and in a flash i saw a huge tree right in front of me, very close now to this day I cant tell you how it happened because it was so quick but i was back on the road, I realised afterwards that is was my guardian angel, whom I might add has saved me more than once,

Love and light Mike

anonymous My Mother's Angel April 27, 2005 8:16 AM

My Mother had an anyersym in her brain...the anyersum stopped bleeding on its own, but the pressure of the blood against her brain was causing many problems for her. She had to have brain surgery to remove the blood causing the pressure.
My brother lives away from us and his job has him traveling much, His job let him off for two days to be with us.
We had prayer with the chaplain of the hospital before her surgery and had a nice visit amongst one another...
She went into surgery, the gave her meds to make her carefree in pre-op. After they administered the meds, "a nurse named Mia" introduced herself and said she would be assigned to her for the entire day. She assured Mother that everything would be just fine.
Mother had the surgery, in recovery Mia was there, Mother was crying and said. I'm going to die and never see my kids again.
Mia said no they are waiting for you, you will be with them very soon.
Mother came back to her room and was doing very well and was speaking of such a wonderful nurse that would be caring for her. Shortly after the floor nurses had her situated, Mia came in, she was very friendly, loving, and caring of us all, taking ever so much time with us. My brother had to leave and return to work so he told us bye and left for home. Mia would leave before the other nurses came in and return when they left. I started questioning that, you know how folks are these days, I didn't know how that could be a coincidence so I complimented on Mia to the other nurses and asked them when the hospitals started giving patients a personal nurse to help care for the surgery patients.
They had no Idea what I was talking about and asked me what I was talking about...I said again the nurse Mia is the absolute best nurse I have ever seen in my life....she is even caring for me. They answered back and said we have no nurse named Mia, Mother said she is my nurse and she is the best nurse ever. They said we have never known a nurse named Mia on this floor or the one below us, we work both floors.
After my experience with my dad, I knew this was mothers Angel. So I said mother she is your Angel, my mother said yes I know, she has been with me all day. And we are the only ones who has seen her.
Well the nurses had security and the charge Nurse searching everywhere for Mia and no one was ever seen. I was called to the charge nurses office, when I arrived she said so a nurse named Mia has been taking care of your Mother all day today, I said yes she has but she's not of this world, she is an Angel I'm sure of that. She has fed and taken care of me, she has taken care of my mother all day, she leaves out the door just before the floor nurses come in and reenters as the leave and they have seen nothing. But all of us did, and my mother and I have all day.
When I got back to mothers room and Mia came in I said you are an Angel sent to care for us? She smiled and confirmed my question and said, but soon I must go, you will both be just fine.
I said Mia thank you so much and thank God for sending you to us.
She said yes.
When she left she told us goodbye until a later time.
We have not seen her since and my mother has not been back to the hospital since, that was December 2003, My mother was in and out of the hospital before that and so was I.
And until now, neither of us have had to be in the hospital for anything major.
I have confidence that God will be with me when I go to have my surgery.

anonymous My last surgery April 29, 2005 10:19 AM

When I went to the hospital for surgery the last time, I wanted to take a shower before surgery.
I made it clear I wanted to be clean, just in case I left this earth to meet my Lord.
Some may say I was being silly but I am very funny about presenting myself dirty...I like a clean body, personally, so how could I feel less about meeting my Lord?
The hospital I was having my surgery at, had a floor emptied to use just for long distance patients to stay the night before their surgery, I was one of those patients. I asked to be awakened about 5:30AM to bathe before surgery, I was informed the floor was not manned, they had no one to wake me, I would be contacted at the time of surgery by the surgery staff.....bummer.....
That night as I prayed, I said Lord please help me wake up so I may bathe before my surgery, Just in case I may be meeting you and Lord you know I want to be clean before surgery anyway....
The next morning at 5:30 exactly, a beautiful "nurse" with and old fashoned type of uniform, with the white paper hat with the red cross in the middle, and the knee length dress with the apron over it...tapped my shoulder very gentlly and whispered, Joanne get up, it's time to take your shower....I woke and and she said shhh... don't wake you mother, she is resting, I said ok, started getting up and she was leaving before I could thank her, she was exiting the door ...I said thank you so much....my mother woke up and said Sis, who are you talking to...I said her....I looked back and she was gone.
I ran out to the hallway and looked for her and she was gone....
I was so happy, I took my shower and thanked God for allowing me to be awakened.
When I went to surgery, I had prayer and they said we have never seen anyone so happy about having surgery.
I said I'm not happy about having surgery, I am praising God and feel assured that no matter what the out come is today, I am safe to either be with him or live on another day, but either way, I am happy.....
Love and Blessings

I know that Angels are real.
And I know that I have seen and been touched by them.
I know mine are with me as all of yours are with you.
Job suffered much...and he was a sinless man.
Satan tormented him with sickness, loss, hunger and all sorts of vile things...
The example of Job is what helps me tremendlessly, when I am suffering or going through any trials in life.
I know my sickness, suffering, and all bad in my life are either a direct result of sin, either by my forefathers or myself, and all of it is directly associated with Satan.
He would love for me to curse the Father and blame the Father for my troubles...I will not do that, the story of Job helps me to know who to blame, and that is Satan...all sin, evil, and bad come from the deciever.....
I wish everyone would read the book of Job...it is very interesting and educating.
I thank the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for guiding me. In the name of Christ Jesus.Amen.
Love and Blessings

anonymous I have had encounters with angels May 08, 2005 5:38 PM

I have something my pastor said was called the gift of discerning spirits I can see both angels and demons. But what I wanted to share with everyone was my aunt who recently had an anyurisrism (spelling) in her brain she survived and is a nursing home now. But she had given up on living in the beginning because so many things had gone wrong and so her will to live had been really bad. Well she did a complete turn around and the doctors were completely shocked. I asked her what made her fight to live and she told me she saw Jesus he appeared to her and she saw his eyes how kind and loving he looked and he placed a hand on her forehead and just kept smiling very lovingly at her. She also said he glowed and she felt such love and warmth at felt at peace in his presence.

Just thought people would like this as a strong jolt not just angels come to our aid. Praise Jesus holy name!

I know that more of us have "seen" things or had things to happen that can only be explained as the work of God....

Please add your experiences....

No true believer will think your "crazy", lets leave that to the shrinks...

I love it when we share theses things with one another.

Touched by an angel June 24, 2005 12:46 PM

One year my sister and I were on a plane coming home from Hawaii. When, we got to Chicago...a terrible thunderstorm was around us. The plane was in extreme turblance and lighting was all around. It was a terrible storm and we were told to hold our position by the airport! We could not land! It was unbelievable and scary. When we were given the okey to land...the plane twisted and creaked in the storm. I really thought, we would die! So, we prayed. The landing was hard and rocky! Lighting everywhere...then the plane stopped! Everyone was speechless...then the whole plane of 350 people broke out in applause for the pilots! Believe me...an angel was with all of us that day! Every flight,  after us was deverted to other airports. No plane left the ground for hours..but we were safe and even though we were laid over in Chicago...we were glad to be alive!

I`ve never been touched by an angel but I do know that through a dream/vision God changed my path in life at what was a very dark & difficult time in my life.

I had come out of work last March with a medical problem, & had needed to sell my home.  Whilst my 11 year old son was a victim of bullying I decided to try & leave the area & relocate to the countryside.  My eldest daughter was expecting her first baby at the time & was due in October.  By the time I got the sale on my home it was now August.  I visited the area where I wanted to move to & put a deposit on an apartment, but within days it fell through.   This caused bitter disappointment to me & my young son,  & not surprisingly I felt angry.

Having little other choice, I accepted a rented house in the area where we had been living, and thought that was the end of it.  My daughter had the baby in the October.   In the November (just over 2 months after moving in) I was given notice to quit.  My landlord was divorcing & needed to sell.   To say I was angry was an under statement. I couldnt understand how anyone could deserve all these things to happen.

By now it was the back end of March & I had over-stayed my notice.  I was frantically looking for another property in the surrounding area. It had still crossed my mind about re-locating, but weather was bad & I dont drive.

Then one night I had a dream/vision (not sure which) but I remember I was walking down a very, very long road. I saw no traffic, no houses...  just this long, long road.  After what seem like ages I came to a cross-roads....  I crossed over...  but having reached the other side & for reasons I did not know, I turned immediately round and decided to walk back down that same road.  As I did so, what seemed like a storm started to blow....  rain....  wind....  but it was very warm.   I was swept off my feet, & was literally floating off the ground, at speed right back down the road.  Suddenly my direction changed & I recall being swept towards what seemed like a wall, and just as I was about to crash into it, I was dropped back onto my feet and the storm ceased.

At the time, & although I thought about it, I could make no sense out of it.    A few days later & feeling the need just to chat I instant messaged a friend I had chatted to for some time.  He asked how my house hunting was coming along, and I told him it was now getting desperate.  I just happened to mention that I would have still liked to have re-located, but being wet & cold it was virtually impossible to be trailing my son with me house-hunting in the countryside.  It was then that he said:  "why dont you check out the properties online in the area you want"    I did...  and within a week we went to view one and was accepted.  Some 5 weeks later (had to wait for repairs being done) we were happilily on our way to the countryside - and not very far away from where I was planning to move last August.

The more Ive thought about that dream, the more convinced I now am of its significance.  Yes, it has been a very long road, and last August I did have to turn all my plans around & turn back & accept what was available at the time.  I certainly went through a storm (to say the least) but just as my entire world felt it was crashing down around me.....  I landed back safely on my feet.   I now realise that what I wanted to do last August was NOT at the right time (my daughter expecting) but I do believe God made the changes when he caused the situation to change in the November and which opened up another opportunity to us to move to where we wanted to be.

As with many things in life, we DONT always get what we want, when WE want it.   Often this brings bitter disappointment because we DONT understand the reasons why OUR plans fail.  Likewise with prayers....  answers are NOT always instant.....  God works HIS plans for us IN HIS TIME....  NOT  OURS.

Jeremiah 10:23 O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

                                THY  WILL  BE  DONE.   Amen

anonymous Mary and Lorraine June 24, 2005 7:48 PM

Thanks so much for sharing your stories...

He appoints angels to take charge over us.

And he shows us the paths we should follow...

Isn't it wonderful.

And sometimes those things we ask for in prayer, do not get answered the way we wanted them to at all. Sometimes prayers are answered just opposite of how "we" thought they should be...

And even though we may be disappointed, we must accept and continue our journey of faith and follow Him.

Love and Blessings
