Dreama R. was on my friend list for quite some time.  Recently she had to scale back from all her activities at Care2 because it was too overwhelming for her to deal with all the email, messages, etc ...  Dreama has many medical issues right now.  She also has M.S.

Dreama is in I.C.U. and is being kept in a drug induced coma for at least another 2 weeks after undergoing a nine hour brain surgery.  Please everyone pray for her and for her faimily and friends.

My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed 3 days ago with stage 4 cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim. The news of yesterday has shocked alarmed us greatly: Jewish people in the Synagogues even in the center of the capital of Russia are not safe.

Slaughter at Moscow Synagogue: eight people stabbed

 

Eight people were injured as a result of an assault Wednesday night at the synagogue in the centre of Moscow. According to the synagogue's rabbi Yitzhak Kogan at least four people were badly wounded as the criminal was armed with the knife. The assault was conducted during the evening devotion, he said.

“It was evening prayers. I heard screaming. When I rushed out I saw a man, who tried to escape. Further in the hall I came across three or four people, who were bleeding,� rabbi went on. The mentor of the synagogue managed to seize the criminal and disarm him. “I think he is insane,� said the head of the Congress of Jewish Religious Organizations and Associations in Russia Zinovij Kogan.

The spiritual ancestor of the synagogue also admitted that the armed criminal made no exclamations and didn’t say a word, but “I came here to kill�. In the accident brother-in-law of the synagogue rabbi was wounded. In bad condition he was immediately brought to hospital.

From the words of the rabbi the situation gets worse every day, and the leadership of the synagogue had nothing left but to apply a request to the government security agencies in order to get some help

one will make you want the other

the main thing after 10 to 14 days when nicotine leaves the blood is the habbit pattern,

say there is a fork in the road and every morning you go to work you take the left fork now your brain after a while just goes left without you thinking about it, but someone tells you to take the right fork its quicker, so off you go now your brain wants to go left  because its programmed that way now after some time of takeing the right fork and forcing yourself to go right you now automaticaly go right instead of left,

our brains are programmed after repatition so we dont even think about it,

so to with smoking, after a meal, after or with a drink, when upset, all these times you have programmed your brain to light up, so you have to purposely take a (right fork) change, I have suggested sunflower seeds to munch on them when you normaly smoke, with many people the oil in the sunflower seed makes the smoke in smoking taste bad, (not every one) but you are creating a new habbit that will not take your life and destroy your lungs and is easy to give up,

also clean your curtains and all materials in your house to get rid of the smell,

you will also find you will taste food better for smoking dulls the taste buds,

Kathryn, You are not being selfish at all.  We all go through bouts of depression. You have gone through a terrible tragedy. It is normal to be depressed.  It sounds like you might also be over working.  Try to get some rest.

If you are interested, I can recommend some natural anti-depressants. They are guaranteed, and not expensive.  Perhaps they would knip it in the bud so it doesn't turn itself into something chronic.

My daughters husband is trying to adopt her 10 yo daughter she raised.  The birth "father" is a felon who never claimed Angel. He was in prison 7 of the last 9 yrs for drunkeness, spousal abuse, stalking, and similar events. (he's an octagon fighter)  He fought the adoption and the judge upheld his parental "rights."

NOW my dtr has to go back to court to keep the restraining order AND the jerk is filing for custody and visitation.  The STATE is paying his attorney.  We can't find a lawyer for Kathy.  It needs to be pro-bono.  Legal aide won't help HER--just the FELON!

Please pray the Lord bring an attorney for Kathy, the felon loses everything in the case, and the kids keep their happy home like it is.

My friend, Jeanine, has been very ill for a long time.  Her family (inlaws) think she'd just lazy.  She had a TIA last night and lost use of the left side of her body for awhile.  She still doesn't have full use.

Her sis in law thought she was making excuses for not coming to help paint the new home she got.  (J, reacts badly to toxins.)

I am totally sure that the groups behind all  terrorist attacks has partial background in numerology and Astrology (as of course their own religous teachings...remember Astrology has it's base in Iraq. There are many astrological teachings, in protected buildings, we are unable to access due to restrictions within the country,as I had learnt during my time studying Astrology at Oxford University).

I have spoken with ASIO about this in previous bombings so that future attacks would be predicted by the astro/numero rule that is used.

Thank You , Everyone. Crystal, I drink coffee all the time also & there is just no way I can not drinking it & stop smoking! I can & will stop smoking with or without my husband. I pray for him but he has to WANT to also. I have to, I don't like it anymore. But coffee? I won't be able to sleep at all.

 I have also been slowly reducing my smoking, I'm hoping that by May 31, I will not be smoking but one or none! I have tried "cold turkey" & failed. Not, once but about 5 times. I am trying it MY WAY this time. We can do it Crystal! I am & will be here for you. Hello CRYSTAL and Group! ~ U are CERTAINLY doing the right thing in asking our Lord for help!   I tried to quit smoking for soooooooooo long, and it wasn't until I took this evil from my body, raised my hands into the sky and asked God to help me! ........It worked!!   I've been smoke free for about 5 years now and I am sooooooooo happy for it!   I never thought I could do it!!

It takes alot of will power, and make sure U're refridgerator is stocked with easy access foods like, cut/washed veggies and fruit ready to go!  ALSO.......drink alot of water in any form possible {ie. cold, warm, with lemon etc. }  It will cleanse U're body!  U will get cravings now and then but, they will pass and they will be less frequent as time goes on!  SERIOUSLY!!  ~ Try and think of fresh things {ie. fresh fruit, fresh veggies, pure water, clean sheets, fresh air etc. }

I'm praying for the both of U! ~ I KNOW U's can do it!!

It's very interesting what you mentioned about quitting and how soon the body is free of nicotine provided I drink lots of liquid and the pumpkin seeds - I appreciate it.

Unfortunately, I find I can't function without my coffee.  Giving up coffee AND cigarettes at the same time sounds pretty much impossible.  I don't know what I'll do, but next time I go shopping, I will sure stock up on pumpkin seeds, LOL!!! 

(Who knows maybe it'll make the coffee taste "yuck" too.......).

Thanks for your understanding and sympathizing with me.  Likewise, my husband doesn't seem to be ready to quit smoking, but I pray for him anyway.  I will try to make the 31st of May 2005 my quit day too, Debi.  I believe it will help me knowing that someone else is quitting on the same day as me.  Since that day is still a bit off, I'll try to reduce my daily number of cigarettes in the meantime, so perhaps it won't be so difficult when the "crunch-day" comes.

I'll take a note of that book and ask about it at the bookshop.  Thank you for understanding.  I have been an on-and-off smoker in the past many times, too, but this time I've been smoking for about 4 years, and I'm finding it more difficult to quit than in the past.

Crystal, I smoked for 27 years and thought I would go to my grave with a lit cigarette in my hand.  I read this book and stopped the next day.  Done!  I quit hundreds of times before in hundred of ways.  I found this book helped me understand why I smoked and what to expect when I quit.  No one ever did that, no group or doctor.  There is a short version and a long one, I suggest the short book, it retails for $9.95 Canadian here in Toronto!   I read it in a day, it is repeditive, the introduction admits it is repeditive, but makes no apologies. 

You have nothing to lose and it is not an expensive output.  I highly recommend it!  Good luck, my thought are with you, thanx Dave.

I was a councillor for drug takers and smokers

now nicotine and caffeine are the same family of drug, there both water soluble

do not have cafeine while you are trieing to quit nicotine, for it will increase the urge for each other,

now being water soluble most of it is out of your system in only 2 days if you drink about 3 quarts to 4 quarts each day,

the effects can last (of the lack of the drug) around 2 to 3 weeks

now habbit pattern is the thing we have to now deal with,

to describe this, if you go to work every day and take the left fork in the road, now someone tells you too take the right fork its quicker, you take the right fork but your mind after a year or two of left fork wants to go left, and you have to realy think about turning right till that becames a habbit pattern

our mind programms in it any repatition without thinking about it,

rememeber how you had to realy concentrate when first driving a car, then it becomes second nature,

now it helps a lot to  do something else in place of smokeing (when you get up. after a meal etc) I used to say (just an excample) take some sunflower seeds in your pocket and eat them when you normaly smoke, (sunflower seeds the oil in them to a lot of people makes smokeing tast terrible) if they try to smoke after eating them.

and of course its is a lot easier to stop eating sunflower seeds than smokeing no drug involved,

chewing gum also can help,

bad news it can take up to 5 years for your lungs to be restored and cleared, depending on how long youve been smoking

but the benefits can be felt very quickly,
