Hi Amanda, would it be better to have regional folders. like "homes needed CA, or West Coast... etc because it would save time for the readers.

I am in CA, and I only check the CA chapter. we all very busy here and we all involved in foster/rescue in our local communities, so it would save a lot of time just to make folders based on locations so we get directly to the pet that needs help and that we can save or find a home.

it's just my opinion. thanks.

We are the St. Francois Society and we need volunteers desperately.  We pull from Kill shelters and adopt out to forever homes.  We do adoptions at three Petsmart locations in St. Louis.

1.  Brentwood

2.  South County

3.  Sunset Hills.

We need more temporary homes to give these animals time to go to forever homes.  We cant rescue more if we dont have the room to do it.

I wanted to forward all of you pictures of Jake.  He was dumped at the Camden, TN Animal Clinic.  He is heartworm negative, up to date on shots, and neutered.  They are looking for a home or foster home for him immediately.  He is very good with people and other dogs, but he HATES cats.  Apparently he has tried to eat several since he has been at the clinic and has to go IMMEDIATELY.  Jake is a 2 year old boxer/mastiff mix.  I do not have the number to the clinic handy so if you have anyone interested you can have them contact me directly at 731-928-0423.

One of our construction workers who is working today & tomorrow in Waverly, VA (Near Petersburg, VA) has found 2 Lab-Border collie mix pups approximately 10 weeks old.  They said that they are somewhat afraid of people but the guys are feeding them and they are starting to trust them.

Are there any rescuers near Petersburg, VA that could take the pups?  The workers are coming back to NC tomorrow afternoon and can drop off to someone between Waverly, VA and Statesville, NC.

Hey everyone,

I was at Patty's today.  She is not doing very well.  I took pics of the dogs at her house, so here they are.  The situation is critical.  These dogs need somewhere to go yesterday.  They were out in the heat today, 95+, with no shelter, no food or water.  Patty's son is not taking care of them, and Patty can't.  Some are very thin.  And there is a pit there that attacked the hound and all the other dogs while I was there.  I have advised Patty and her mom that someone needs to take the Pit and have it PTS.  Patty says she will have someone do it. The hound was bleeding.  Poor thing, with it's tail between its legs.

We have to get these dogs out, for their sake, as well as Patty's.  Her mom will have no choice but to call animal control to take them all.  If not, they will just sit there and die of heat stroke or something.  What I have posted about them is all I know.

I would gladly help with transport if I can.  Please can someone help? And please crosspost to all in NC and close by.

Hi I need help BAD.... I have a horrible animal abandonment/cruelty
case on my hands, I need everyone and anyone that will help me. I

found appx 18 dogs abandoned on Ft Bragg. Left to die. The are all
in
VERY bad shape I have already caught 7. They are dying. They are

haired chihuahuas, possibly shitzus and pekeneses. These are

breeder dogs mostly mama's. Some are hurt, all are dehydrated and

 Iggy will be sent to  shelter this coming friday june 24 and probably only  be  given few days before he is put down he is 7 years old and is a beagle terrier mix. Iggy is a very loving dog who loves to kiss ya and loves snuggling in bed. He's also as playful as a puppy but loves to take naps. His best friend is our cat who he loves to play with. He is always happy to greet us when we come home from work. Iggy is also very smart and remembers friends and family and is good and tolerant with children. Iggy can speak, sit and dance on command and is a quick learner. The only problem we have had with him is the seperation anxiety which we've found can be remedied quite easily by leaving the light and tv on, and if we're going to be gone longer then usual then keeping him in the kitchen for the day with the radio and light on with his kong ball filled with penut butter. Also when we travel and he stays in the kennel he does really well. He's also very well behaved when riding in the car. Iggy is up to date on shots housetrained and neutered Thank you

Here's the big baby I helped rescue from the most terrible shelter I've ever seen, in Louisburg, NC.  (For euthanasia, they use a HOMEMADE GAS CHAMBER. ) We pulled the dog and had him transported to VA to be close to a shelter we were told he could go to, but...it fell through.  Everybody seems to fall through for this dog!

How many more will be bred and sold before these 6 have homes, or have been put to sleep. Don't by from breeders while sheltert dogs die!

I know many of you have probably already seen this. I have offered to take
in the cats listed at the photos link listed in the post. Theresa at TLC in
Charleston, WV.

Madison, Indiana is yet again in desparate need of rescue assistance. The
shelter is faced with a hoarder situation involving about 20 dogs and 20
cats. The "owner" has lost his job and is no longer able to buy food. The
dogs are fighting over what little food that they get and killing each
other. When they kill one of the pack, they eat the remains. Most of the
dogs are kept in an electric fenced area. When they escape the fence they
hunt, kill and eat the cats. Most of the dogs are female and suspected to
be pregnant. NONE of the dogs are altered! In December there were 16
puppies...NONE survived. The pack kills and eats them. Currently the
shelter is FULL to capacity so
seizing any of these animals will mean a gas chamber for those already at
the shelter. The "owner" is willing to sign over all dogs and cats to the
shelter for relocation. Unfortunately there is nowhere to relocate this
many animals without rescue assistance. Most of the dogs are very friendly
and
desparately want the human contact that they have been deprived for so long.
I have posted the pictures that we took this week in a Webshots album. We
were not able to get pictures of all of the dogs, but will be going back to
get more pics and deliver more food next week. PLEASE take a moment to look

We are begging for help from reputable rescues. The owner is willing to

Right now I have 4 adults that are healthy and ready for homes; one beautiful cali, Abigail,  that is still people shy; 2 moms with 9 kittens and myself = we all need new homes   All adults are tested; UTD with shots and loving.  They MUST be kept inside and declawing is NOT acceptable.

Right now, Onyx, a beautiful, black girl with Golden eyes and a loving nature is helping me type ... she loves to be on the bed with me and keeps everyone in line ... she plays well with others; has not been around dogs here so ?? LOVES kids.

The petite black girl named Spooky Kat loves to hang out near the activity but really wants to be an only cat. She hisses and spits at the others, but mainly because she is dealing with mostly large cats such as my two Maine Coons ..

Greta, is a small Grey Girl who is learning to play with all the cats in my house - except for the babies who are still in seclusion. She has a sweet purrsonality and likes skritches and people.  She has bloomed from a frightened cage kid to a beautiful girl.

Last but not least is CAPTAIN.  He is a big boy, a golden brown ticked tabby that gets so excited when allowed on the bed that he gets the hic-cups!!  That only lasts for a while as he gives headbutts, snuggles and kisses.    Then with a huge sigh, he settles in at the foot of the bed. He loves everyone and everything ... he was caged for over 6 months so freedom is dear to him.
