Wanted to thank the Membership and Welcome new members into the group. We now have over 400 members, five working groups, and good cooperation with a number of other groups and good host.
Happy Holidays to everyone, and the New Year will bring us more projects, more adventure, and more friendship to share. Thank you everyone.

We are here to explore the connection between plants and people. This morning wanted to point out a thread located in another good group that talks about our ties to plants.
This group has a member's only cafe, but that thread got long for people with dial-up. DB is short for Diversified Botanicals. When we first started working on DB the intent was to develop a coffee shop that would connect people to the world through the use of plants. We carried that thought to our efforts here on Care2.
Wanted to thank everyone for being a part of the group, and give an update. The working group "A Forest in Brazil" is developing nicely and is coming up on having 150 members.
Been in communication with a few people about the development of couple more working groups that you can be a part of; myself it is enjoyable meeting new people and learning about where they live and what is important to them. I am open to the idea of cooperating with new groups, as well as, accepting co-host for existing groups.
I have also been busy inviting people and organizations not on Care2 to come here, and interact, share their experience and help us make a difference. Hope you are enjoying the group and Take Care.
Hi Ted, been busy today. Got a lot of work to do for Uni. Working on 2 essays at the mo, ine on plants ecological adaptations and animal adaptations. Kind of stuck on this one: Using na,ed species compare amd contrast C3 and C4 photosynthetic pathways.
I#m not to hot when it comes to indepth knoledge about plant chemistry! lol
It has been a good day. There have been a number of new members in the working groups. We also starting setting up an appropriate technology group to work with the group Sustainable Development 101.
Thanks your friendship and membership makes hosting an enjoyable thing to do. I know that this is still the begining and communication will turn into cooperation and cooperation into making a difference ( not only in the world, but in our own lives as well ).
I ahve to have a chuckle when I see the name of this place, DB International Cafe. 'DB' commonly stands for 'Dominion Breweries' here and that image comes to mind in relation to a cafe everytime. The power of advertising I guess .. lol
Wanted to let the membership know that I might not be around as much the next few weeks. I have some grant application deadlines coming up and I need to work on them. If there is any grant writers in the group - advice would be welcomed.
I will be checking in and responding to messages. If it all works out we will be growing a forest.
