anonymous stories of wellness, share your successes April 20, 2006 1:25 PM

Wanted WRAP Stories! Hi Everyone, I am planning to compile a book for publication of WRAP stories from the perspective of people who are using WRAP in their daily lives, from people who help others develop WRAP's or lead groups, from people who have seen the changes in others lives because they use WRAP, and from people who have incorporated WRAP into their facility or system--anyone who has had a successful experience with WRAP. While WRAP has been, and is currently being studied through rigorous research protocols, in my view there is nothing as important, compelling and powerful as stories from individuals who have lived experience of WRAP. If you have such a story and would like to share it with me for possible publication, I would be most grateful. The stories should be 1500 words or less. I would appreciate if they are typed on a computer and e-mailed to me in the e-mail message (not as an attachment) at info@mentalhealthrecovery.com. Put WRAP Stories in the subject line. I will also accept stories that are typed or handwritten as long as they are legible. Don't worry about punctuation and grammar. It will be important to share a bit of information about yourself or whoever the story is about, what ever you care to share, but the main focus of the story should be WRAP and how it has worked for you or others. Include all or at least one of the following so I can contact you: e-mail address, mailing address, phone number. You may choose not to have me use your name in the story. That is fine. You can choose another name for yourself ( a pen name) if you want to or not have a name used. Everyone who sends in a story that I use will get a free copy of the book signed by me. Just remember, it may take over a year to complete this book. I don't yet know how many stories I will receive, so I don't know if I will be able to use all of them in the book. However, if there are stories I cannot include in the book, I will check with you, and if you want me to, I will put them up on my website. I will accept stories until July 15, 2006. I look forward to hearing from you if you want to be included in this important project. All the best, Mary Ellen Copeland Mary Ellen Copeland Mental Health Recovery P.O. I wish I would have seen this before October 06, 2006 7:40 PM

I am relatively new to WRAP and just completed facilitator training in Washington State. I am so thankful for this and very anxious to share my knowledge. Thank you so very much Mary Ellen.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
