Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize: Congratulation to all peace lovers
2 months ago

It is really a great news for all of us that the president of super power, which is still busy in death and destruction in the world has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Today the wailing mothers and sisiters, who have lost their nears and dears ones in this mad war on terrorism will be happy after hearing that Barack Obama has won the peace prize.

Today Pakistani jets again bombed Bajaur Agency, my hometown. Today there will be thousands of women and children will be crying in pain as the areas which have been targetted are thickly-populated. Congratulation for winning the peace prize. I think the US president is really deserve the award as he is purging the world of poor and needy. I think these poor and needy people are the real trouble makers. Now there will be no one in this world who will demand health facilities and foods for their children. Now there will be no one in this world who in sheer desperation have been blowning themselves.

I think Obama has done a great job and he deserves the award.

I think many people feel as you do M.

President Obama has said a lot of things; such as ending the 'war' in Iraq, bringing troops home, closing Guantanamo, increasing civil rights, helping the gay members of the military, etc... So far, little has been done, but many words have been spoken..

Words are easy. Anyone can promise anything.

As he is finding out, great and noble deeds such as bringing peace to a war ravaged region, is much harder to accomplish. Where is the peace between Israel and Palestine? He spoke against the occupation of Palestine and the takeover of lands by Israel through building settlements on taken over lands, but that has stopped as well. Now they seem to be back to their standard way of doing things...

Ending a war or ongoing conflict such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc... is much harder than starting a war or bombing someone.. Often peace does not happen until a country is completely and utterly destroyed and all resistance fighters or opposition has ceased..

The other way occupations end is if the occupier is so embarrassed by the global attention to misdeeds and tortures imposed on the citizens, that they are shamed into leaving.

England leaving India is one example of this...
