For those who may not already know...

"What" it is: A Banner (or "Link") exchange is a GREAT way to promote your site, as well as a platform to build relationships with people from all over the World.

"Why" do it?: it's a good thing! We all have people coming to our sites for differing reasons. With a link/banner exchange, you will have your website exposed to many more people that might not normally see it!

"How" it works: It's an works by the "Honor System", like this example...

I have a website about Health & Wellness. Freediver has a site about Political issues. I then make a page on my website called "links" (as there will be many more to come!). I place Freediver's link/banner on my site and he places mine on his. You can put the link on any page you like, but just keep the link owner apprised of where you have it ...a simple courtesy.

A "Banner" is something like this:

The more you exchange links/banners with others, the more exposure YOUR website will get!

But not really sure I like this plan. I know there are free web hosting sites out there for anyone who might be interested. One is freewebs.com. Also, Google has great links to free document creators. I'll play around with things a bit and eventually land on an idea I like for my link exchange page, and I do have a page of my own I'll grab the link for here in a minute and have it posted asap. Are there any limits besides what common sense might depict? (no porn sites...etc., ... ? lol ) Mine is a cafepress store with my artwork used for the merchandise designs. I'm off to grab that right now!

 The top 3 banners are direct links to my store. Thought I'd give a choice in sizes depending on how you want to set up your individual pages. The bottom banner is my referral banner. I can earn extra money for referring shop keepers.

Please use look over the site that you are going to "exchange" with. That's REALLY important! Most of us (I would guess) have no desire to promote any criminal and/or Child porn site.

What about Group banner exchange? Exchange banners/links with other group hosts, to be displayed on the group main page

I wouldnt want to exchange banners with a group too similar to mine, one that could take away my members, but I would consider displaying links to groups of different topics.

I are a idiot.

You know...I actually do know how to build a webpage, and I have a mild grasp of how html works. So you'd think I could put a page together without pulling a goofy stunt like the one I just did. lol

I had all the links and banners set in so nicely. With text and graphics, etc. And went to insert one more picture before publishing my page....and I inserted it (apparently) into a bad place on the page because when it came up, it obliterated

EVERYTHING!
