your support would be greatly appreciated! October 14, 2009 10:35 AM

being a member of a local "you are not alone group' for helping our soldiers, i just received this email and wanted to forward same, so perhaps some of you may want to help our troops in Afghanistan:

Dear All,
"I know we are just launching our Project Holiday. However, I believe this unit needs some support now. If anyone is able to send a letter or a package to them now, this would be very helpful. Below I included part of the email from a coworker in Dallas. She is requesting help from our Marketing unit asking for samples etc to be sent. We just had our annual convention, and we do not have a lot of goodies floating around. Our business managers will do their best, but this unit needs some support.
Anything to let them know we care!
Thank you!!

HERE IS THE STORY

FORT CARSON , Colo. - The Pentagon announcement Wednesday confirmed their worst fears — the eight American soldiers killed in a bloody weekend attack in Afghanistan were all from a single Fort Carson unit. But commanders here insisted that unit's morale is rebounding.

"They were attacked, the unit fought bravely, and in the end, they won the day," said Maj. Daniel Chandler, the rear detachment commander for the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. "The brave soldiers that we lost and all of the comrades that were left there, there were a lot of heroes on that day," he said.
