i was having a severe crisis the other day and went to the oracle. the  idea of turning 4 cards was too overwhelming for me but one of the aspects of the issue jumped out at me from one of the cards so i chose that card. what came to me was so 'ON' my jaw dropped. since then, i have taken control of the crisis and turned it around. i just wanted to share that in case others felt overwhelmed with processing all 4 cards, as well. all it really takes is the right ONE at the right time.

Goddess Mystic Online Oracle
(Divination ~ A conscious act of connecting with the Divine. An effort undertaken to receive information, guidance, and/or inspiration from the Divine.)
  • Get grounded however you do that. Root your body in your chair. Feel your feet on the floor and extend your consciousness below the floor, below the foundation of the building you're sitting in, down into the soil, rock and groundwater -- deep down into the mother, Earth.
  • Ask Her to join you in this consciousness. Take the time to thank Her for the gift of life, and for other gifts as you feel inspired. Acknowledge your gratitude for guidance received in the past.
  • When you feel Her strongly with you, focus on the question or situation for which you need information, guidance or inspiration from Her. Note: The Oracle does not answer yes/no questions.

How cool.

My first deck of tarot cards were the Goddess Tarot.  I wanted to buy my first set of Tarot cards in a meaningful place for me...where?  I bought them at the Witch's Museum in Salem, MA.

Whoa! I think I get it... June 22, 2006 6:35 PM

Laxmi

Goddess of Wealth

Laxmi has arrived in your life to examine your relationship with wealth.

The appearance of Laxmi suggests that there is a relationship with wealth to be awakened within.

Do you believe that money is bad or unattainable in your life? Have you found yourself on the never ending merry go round of debt and struggle, the harder you try the less you have?  Are you perhaps surrounded by monetary wealth but you are still unhappy?

The Goddess reminds us that inner wealth is a reflection of the love and appreciation that we have gathered to ourselves from good service and giving.  Laxmi teaches us that when abundance and happiness are lacking in our lives, we are attempting to gain without first giving.  The joy of abundance is derived from the giving not having.

The Goddess asks you to examine all areas of need in your life, as need pushes away prosperity and the joy of giving.

Hello, I have to admit that was an eye opener.  I've started a job in May and didn't realize how big an impact it was having.  This was very on the button as a friend of mine would say.  I'll have to keep a link of it handy.  I'll also have to look up more on Aztec and Slavic Goddesses as they were the ones who spoke most to me at this time.

great sites... November 01, 2006 2:26 PM

Very cool and fun and insightful... I agree with the previous skepticism about online readings, however, if you really think about it, the reading, the oracle, in whatever form is tapping into our own energy. We manifest our own answers based on our "preselected" and random choices and the cyclical nature of time. Being an object of electrical energy, a computer is actually a pretty good channel for our own energy flow - that's a little creepy...

After trying several online readings and finding them to be surprisingly on target I started thinking about it and this is what I have come up with. It's just an idea...
The Goddess oracle and the tarot were really ON for me today and perfectly in synch with one of the other fun little tests I found in this group!
Thanks Donna! You are such a good finder of these neat-o things!!! (I'd send you a green star, but I can't because I already did, earlier today!!!!)

I find the online oracle reading is all I personally need. I used to have the Goddess Tarot deck but never really connected with the cards myself but many other people do. If you feel drawn to the cards then I would get familiar with the 'archetypes' as described by Jung and further explored by Joseph Campbell in order to understand the energies of the cards and the 'hero's journey'. Check out this thread  Herstory of Women's Tarot -- if you click on the link and then scroll to the bottom of that page then you will see another link. Clicking there (Woman Mother Goddess Tarot Deck) takes you to see the cards. Here is an example of the ones I had...

Nyx, of course... September 10, 2007 2:16 PM

About The Goddess

NYX was the personification of Night in Greek mythology. Also known as Nox, she was a daughter of Chaos, who became the wife of Erebos and bore him two children, Aether and Hemera. Nyx was looked on as the Goddess of Night, and to her was attributed power over illness, suffering, dreams, misfortunes, quarrels, war, murder, sleep and death.

It is reputed that anything inexplicable or frightening that befell men was attributed to Nyx. She was considered to occupy a place in the lower world of the Greeks, together with Day. When Day entered the palace, Nyx would ride out in a dark chariot drawn by two dark steeds and,  accompanied by many stars, she would traverse the heavens until daybreak, when she would return to the palace.

Nyx was often portrayed as a serious figure clad in long heavy drapery, with a black star-spangled veil on her head. She sported black wings, and carried two children in her arms. One was black (Death), the other white (Sleep).

NYX

Goddess of Illusion

Nyx floats into your life to awaken you from your illusion.

It is time to become conscious of what is so, what is true, what is real.

Have you attempted to fool yourself that all is well, when the truthful reality glares at you? Have you been dazzled by an infatuation that has no substance? Have you put meaning into the words of another, misconstruing their true message? Nyx reminds us that it is easy to get caught up in delusion around our suffering, dreams, and misfortunes.

Wholeness is nurtured by dismantling blame of ourselves and others.

The Goddess beckons you to lift the veils of illusion, as your power lies within awakening to reality.

Suggested Ritual

Go to an uninterrupted place for about 30-60 minutes. Close your eyes and relax, preferably sitting up.

Imagine an endless pearl-white ray of light shining down from a source above into the cranium of your head. See and feel the Light move like a curtain through your brain, through your torso and legs, out through your toes. See and feel the White Light cleanse all blameful thoughts from your mind and feelings. Visualize in turn each person whom you are
condemning or who may be casting blameful thoughts towards you.

Redirect the White Light to each and speak with words of forgiveness and acceptance. If you have been thinking blameful thoughts say something like: "I apologize for my unconscious condemnation towards you. I am responsible for my own reactions. I send the Light to heal the unkindness I have dispatched to you."

If you feel others may have been thinking harmful thoughts about you say something like: "I send 'The White Light' to heal the hurt you are feeling and replace this with forgiveness. I am safe and protected by The White
Light."

If it is necessary to apologize, then do so but most importantly - be sure to bathe yourself in the healing rays of the Light.

oracle not surprising... December 07, 2007 1:59 PM

...since I invoked the dark goddess... I am experiencing power struggles in many forms... once I make it through this I am planning to start another group for a specific discussion for others on this path of deep self examination into the depths of the psyche, The Temple of Inanna. If anyone is interested, pls shoot me an NM/intro...

Lilith

Goddess of Power

Lilith stomps into your life to charge up your personal power.

Who is it that you still allow to alter your self perceptions or beliefs? Do you consciously attempt to benefit and nourish the lives of those around you, or have you fallen back into fearful, manipulating behaviors to achieve your aims. Are you beating to the rhythm of another's drum, or have your requests become demands? Could you be failing to voice your own opinions and ideas, instead choosing to go along with the flock?

Lilith bids you to take back your personal power by releasing all mental and physical dependencies. She reminds you that you are only spiritually healthy to the degree that you can forgive, and it is fundamentally blame that robs you of your personal power.

The Goddess says you will be magnetized when you march to the beat of your own unique drum and allow others to march to theirs. The way to wholeness for you now lies in connecting to, and accepting, how powerful you really are.

Suggested Ritual

Go to a quiet, warm place where you will not be disturbed for about 30-90 minutes. You will need a pen and paper.

Sitting with your spine erect take twenty deep calming breaths. Close your eyes and mentally scan your body from the toes to head. Breath into any tensions, tightness or pain until completely relaxed.

When you are ready take up the pen and paper to answer the Goddesses questions in turn, as truthfully and in as much detail as you can ...

"Whom have you pitied, or who has pitied you as a Victim, to diminish your personal power?"

"Whom have you humiliated, and been humiliated by, to rob your personal power?"

"Whom have you ignored in dominating silence or merciless banter, and whom may have ignored you in this manner?"

"Whom have you lorded over with martyrdom and guilt tricks, and who has depleted your energy in the same way?"

"Who has charmed you with sex, money and favors to gain their needs and desires, and where have you done the same?"

"Whom have you judged unfairly, sent condemning thoughts to, or entertained malicious gossip about, to remove your power? Whom has done these thing to you?"

"Who's problems have you seen fit to offer unsolicited advice, and who has needed to "rescue" you?"

"Whom have you dominated with your self importance and who has choked you with their displays of superiority?"

When you are complete, close your eyes again and feel yourself being cleansed by beams of magnificent White Light, and send the Light to any person that may require your forgiveness, or you theirs.

About The Goddess

Lilith The Strong, the goddess who holds the power to create life out of death, figures prominently in many mythologies of the ancient world. Lilith symbolizes the inert powers of all women over men. Her origin lies in a Babylonian (or Assyrian) myth, but references can also be found in later myths. Her name means "she of the night".

In Hebrew folklore, Lilith was lustfully depicted as a female demon of great beauty with long, streaming hair. She was considered the enemy of young children and worked mischief in the night. She is said to have mated with Adam before Eve, but some say she seduced him. Lilith refused to be subordinate to Adam and lie beneath him and was replaced by the more compliant Eve.

Lilith is the Moon Goddess and a patroness to witches.

Bumping thread up... May 27, 2008 11:34 AM

I come her often and it is pinned to the top of the threads all the time. I urge you all to come here when you need a sense of direction. I fully believe spririt can communicate with us via a computer. I have used this Oracle for years and it always give me the Goddess and ritual I need to stay on my path. I hope others find the same.

I have been going through a big transition and now am going to be working more with my creativity so this reading is so helpful for me... check out the Oracle for yourself!

Brighid

Goddess of Fire

Brighid blazes into your life to inspire and motivate you.

Brighid tells you that it is time to re-ignite your passions and open yourself up to possibility.

Do you make enough time to be amongst the inspiration of nature? When did you last read an inspiring autobiography or story? Has it been too long since you basked in the stimulation of the visual arts, listened to powerful music, or were entertained by a thought provoking dramatization?

Are you consciously aware of the many miracles and coincidences that occur each day of your life? Maybe you have simply lost sight of your major definite purpose.

Now is the time to go seek out those who are inspired and inspiring. The Goddess reminds us that a life without inspiration is a life without joy and growth. Brighid beckons you to take the steps now to bring inspiration into your life for alertness, focus and energy.

Suggested Ritual

You will require one or two objects that are interesting and delightful to you, e.g. a flower, a canvas painting, a watch or a porcelain figurine. Alternatively you may care to conduct this ritual with another person, and use each others' face.

Go to a quiet, warm place where you will not be disturbed for about 30 minutes. Play gentle, unobtrusive music if available. Sitting with your spine erect, take twenty deep, calming breaths. Close your eyes and mentally scan your body from toes to head. Breath into any tensions, tightness or pain until completely relaxed. Ask yourself "What am I thinking? What am I feeling?".

Open your eyes and begin to gaze at your first object. Involve yourself totally in the shape, colours and textures of the object. Enjoy the minute details that you normally miss in the normal every day glances. Do not allow yourself to stray concentration or lose interest. Amaze yourself at the miracle of it's creation, the way it was formed and how it came into being.

When you feel you have absorbed the object mentally, physically and spiritually, close your eyes, breath and again bring your attention back to your body and emotions.

Finalize this ritual with thanks to the Infinite Intelligence for the miracle of creation.

About The Goddess

Brighid [Brigid - Brigit - Bridget] (pronounced bridge'id), which means "bright", is the triple Goddess of Fire in Celtic Folklore.

Brigid represented the fires of inspiration, smith-craft, poetry, healing, and divination. Legend tells us that Brighid was born with a flame above her head, connecting her with the Universal Energy System.

History merged the new (Christian) and the old (pagan) Brighid into St. Brigid in A.D. 450. St. Brigid, daughter of a Druid, was a goldsmith and healer. Nineteen priestesses/nuns guard her sacred fire in Kildare,

Oya

Goddess of The Winds of Change

Oya howls into your life riding the winds of change.

What is it that you know that is necessary to bring about a life that you will truly love, but are too fearful to enact change?

What is it that you deny yourself from having? What success or failure do you fear? What have you been avoiding until a better time arises? Oya tells you that now is the time to embrace change. There is always a price that can be paid to be free, pay it now, as it is inevitable anyway.

Clear out the old to make way for the new. Open your arms to dance with chaos and uncertainty. Let yourself be unsettled, prepare yourself for growth.

The Goddess commands you to sow the seeds of love, joy and abundance to receive what you truly deserve in all areas of your life.

I asked about my divorce (3 1/2 years and still going in the court system)...but I think this message was in regards to me being more open to allow the uncertainties of having a relationship...interesting since my tarot reading last night indicated the same...

Thanks for the link- it's pretty inspiring...

Tara

Goddess of Centering

Tara is here to remind you to stay centered.

It is time to strengthen your center by focusing your awareness through rebirthing, meditation, breath and peaceful surrounds.

Let the turmoil of life go on without you. It is hard to hear your own voice in the midst of the frenzy of life. Go into the quiet, go into the calm to still your mind for intuition and inspiration.

When you return you will be stronger and more capable of dealing with what life has to offer.

Suggested Ritual

Go to a quiet, warm place where you will not be disturbed for between 15-30 minutes. Play soft music if available. Sitting with your spine erect take twenty deep calming breaths. Close your eyes and mentally scan your body from the toes to head. Ask yourself "What am I feeling?", "What am I thinking?"

Breath into any tensions, tightness or pain until completely relaxed then choose an image, color or word to focus upon during this meditation.

Keep your mind fixed on your choice of Mantra and should any other thoughts appear, see them float as a bubble gently out of your mind.

Stay with this meditation until you are totally relaxed and centered.

About The Goddess

Tara (pronounced tah'rah) originated in India and her name means "star".

Tara is a major Goddess in the Tibetan pantheon. She is known to help those who call upon her in tumultuous times of need, to steer a clear path, to find the stillness and strength within. She is also the Goddess of self-mastery and mysticism.

It is said that from Tara's first tear of compassion, a lake was formed. From the middle of this lake, a lotus emerged. When it bloomed, Tara emerged.

Although offered reincarnation in male form, she swore to be ever incarnated as a woman.

Circe :: See Choices

Goddess of the moon and the night, Circe began life as a 'mage for hire' in order to fund her expensive pursuit of magic. She was neither good nor evil, simply ruthless in her endeavours to further her own goals.

Modern Energy

Living alone on her island, the archetype of Circe is that of autonomous woman, self-empowered and whole unto herself. She does not need a man to complete her. Alone but not lonely, Circe's bouts of jealousy represents love in its irrational passion and remarkable power. This energy can be harnessed to enable you to take responsibility for your own actions and life.

Do This

Quit the mindset that ‘life just happens’ and apply your wonderful power to create your own destiny.
