AUCTION FOR ANIMALS – SHOP TO BENEFIT ANIMAL ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS! Auction for Animals is a fun way to shop for the items you love while simultaneously donating to your favorite animal advocacy groups. The Auction was created by volunteers seeking to raise desperately needed financial support for the grassroots animal protection community. After watching organizations struggle to stay open to continue their important work, we decided to take traditional fundraising to a new level. is now open and ready for you to place your bids on fabulous merchandise, all of which is cruelty-free! Check out works of art by glassblower master Joe Cariati, painter Megan Sewell, and others. Bid on fashionable shoes by Shoes with Souls. Consider books like Richard Pryor’s signed autobiography and documentaries including Peaceable Kingdom to capture your attention expand your knowledge. Don’t miss the restaurant section where you can bid on dinner for two at one of the best restaurants in the United States—including one in Hawaii! Now is the time to shop for rare items at an auction created to benefit animals! You will only have until the end of August to place your bids. At that time, the Auction will close and 100% of the money from the highest bidder will be donated to non-profit organizations that have been selected for their long-term commitment to animals and the creative solutions they promote. The three organizations to be recipients of the auction are Viva USA, Animal Rescue Media and Education (ARME), and Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty USA (SHAC). Viva USA, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, conducts investigations of factory farms and provides the tools for people to become vegetarians. Through their up-to-date documentaries and informative booklets, Viva USA makes a compassionate diet appealing and possible. Recently, Viva USA successfully lobbied for a ban on foie gras in California. ARME works directly with animals in need, rescuing dogs and cats and finding them loving homes. This 501(c)(3) utilizes television and Internet media outlets to expose the plight of abused animals and also coordinates annual food and toy drives for abandoned dogs and cats. SHAC is comprised of volunteers focusing on the infamous Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), one of the world’s largest animal testing laboratories. Five separate undercover investigations have revealed and confirmed that the lab kills nearly 500 animals daily in painful and unnecessary tests. SHAC has effectively pressured HLS’ financial supporters to abandon the lab. It is crucial to suffering animals that we act now to keep these advocate organizations functioning. You can do your part in supporting these groups by helping to publicize the Auction. Again, 100% of the winning bid will be donated to stop the suffering of animals! Shopping has never been so rewarding! Visit and place your bids. Visit frequently because we plan to add more items soon! _______________________________________________ HuntingdonSucks mailing list Donate : Forum : Contact List Admin : Disclaimer: This is an open list.
