Help Support Access to Water and Sanitation Around the World August 22, 2005 8:46 AM
Members of the House of Representatives will return to Washington, D.C., in September and begin to consider an important piece of legislation: The Water for the Poor Act of 2005. This bill promotes access to safe water and sanitation across the globe.
Most Americans are fortunate to take clean water for granted. But around the world, contaminated water and poor sanitation kill millions each year - and most of the deaths are among children under age 5.
Now is the perfect time to take action to save lives. Please contact your Representative and voice your support for The Water for the Poor Act of 2005.
