In a bid to educate children on environment issues in a unique way, the Association for Environment Preservation (ASEP) has released a cartoon book dealing with related subjects.

The book entitled 'Hmangaihte Au Aw' (Cries of the Loved Ones) - Volume One aims to teach the children the necessity to protect the environment and animals.

Many leading cartoonists in the states have contributed their talent to the book so that children can easily understand the issues and concerns of the environment.

ASEP will also observe a 'Day of Freedom for Animal' tomorrow. On this occasion it will release a large number of caged birds at 'Lalram Farm' here.

"We are also going to create an awareness campaign among the children across the state on cruality to animals," an ASEP spokesperson added.
