anonymous AFCA joins the Challenge! Help us help children with AIDS! October 13, 2009 7:31 PM

The American Foundation for Children with AIDS has joined the 2009 America's Giving Challenge presented by Parade Magazine and the Case Foundation. Winning either the daily or total challenge will allow AFCA to help even more HIV+ children and their HIV+ guardians in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Challenge is quite simple: the organization which receives the most daily donations (1 per person) will get a $1000 grant for that day, plus the donations they received during the day. The organization that receives the most donations (1 per person per day is allowed) from now until November 6th will receive a $50,000 grant. With $50,000, AFCA can provide the following: A month of nutritional support for 800 children Treated mosquito nets for 42 children A year of daily anti-retroviral and related medices for 25 kids A year of twice-daily antibiotics to keep full blown AIDS at bay for 200 children Medical supplies and equipment to help thousands of people Please make a $10 donation by visiting http://apps.facebook.com/causes/3026. This will be considered a "unique" donation and can be done by any person once a day. The amount of the donation is not as important as the amount of donations made. So, please tell your friends about this Challenge and ask them to give $10 by clicking here. Then, ask them to tell their friends. Between us all, we can make a world of difference! It is that simple. But, it is that life-changing for the children. The American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA) is a non-profit organization that helps HIV+/AIDS children and their guardians in sub-Saharan Africa who have no other access to aid. AFCA provides critical AIDS and related medications, medical equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, and emergency supplies that are requested by the institutions in its targeted areas. Currently, AFCA is working in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]
