As you remember he was found 5 weeks ago wandering the streets with a wire noose around his neck which constricted him almost to the point of suffocation (which no doubt was the intention of the person – likely a hunter – who tried to kill him that way). Images of his original state below.
 
He’s undergone surgery several times – on his neck and leg – and is improving slowly now.
But what a change !

I am sorry to have to tell you that all these dogs have already been killed...
I had belgian people wanting to go and save some but it was too late..
I got answer through somebody who contacted and translated..with this contact person..(cris)
She said this call for help was made and sent end of februari..They would kill them next week...so this meant this week..They killed them wednesday..
They could only save 6 to 8  this contact said..
 Today I got a message they already had another 32 galgos and 15 podencos..
They kill them every week I guess..

 First I want to apologize for those people didn't want to receive this email, but all the animal lovers are concern to the lives of the animals it does not matter where they live! I need your help! is in my country.

I will ask you to write some letters and send them by fax or by email at the number  0058-212-6320845 or email: gladysmiranda@cantv.net, attention! Is the fax and email of a friend of mine! She will collect all and send it to the person responsible of the massacre of more than 50 animals, dogs and cats, in the university UCV in Maracay, Venezuela. 
 The name of the responsible is Cecilia Garcia Arocha, Letter should be directed to UCV  Rectorado. It doesn’t matter if is in English, French, other language. The important is that she knows that the entire world know what she did!
 
This is what happened:
 University of Maracay in Venezuela (UCV) applies "sanitary rifle" to evade protection operational
 
On February 15, there was a rumour in the University about the implementation of a "Health Rifle" for abandoned and stray dogs and cats in the UCV (Maracay). It should be noted that this procedure consists in killing all these animals as a measure of health control, as to prevent the spread of disease.  After some dialogue and demonstrations, they answered that this measure (Health Rifle) was not true, that they will not kill those animals.
On Tuesday 3th March, Cecilia García Arocha sent the order to apply the Rifle Health Campus in the UCV Maracay… more than 20 cats and 30 dogs were killed. Poisoned and then they burnt them!.

Today the animal lovers of Venezuela are feeling powerless, the effort and dedication of the students from this university and animal protection organizations (Ecofauna, AnimaNaturalis, amor a las mascotas, FUNPAVIA), and animals lovers, was in vain…this is a shame, that someone veterinary and authority of the UCV “Cecilia García Arocha” give the order to kill the strays animals living in the University. I enclosed the video when the people found the rests.

Now how do you explain that in a Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where students are trained to save lives of animals, these things happen? Why not save those animals, if that is your profession? Why was so indifferent about it?
 
Those animals, these students, this organizations fighting! Need supports! Let’s do something for all them!  Write a letter and send it by fax or email to my friend expressing that you are not agree about the massacre of those dogs! Now!

In the Arahal municipality near Seville 56 innocent dogs, adults and
puppies, have until this Friday the 19th before being taken to the
infamous Seville dog pound for their destruction unless we all take
action immediately.

The Council's chief of Environment Luis Lóez Minguet has been blowing
hot and cold since July last year, it was his the idea of starting a
shelter in this small town promising the volunteers that the Council
would help in every way should they start an official shelter, which
they did. Then he found premises for the dogs three times and three
times the volunteers were given the order to take all the animals away
immediately. This last time they were threatened with sending the dogs
to the Seville dog pound if by this Friday they have not vacated the
place. During the phone interview with Mr. Lóez Minguet this morning
with the writer of this, he admitted that the Seville dog pound was
terrible, added that the Council has no money to help the volunteers
after all(although they have renewed the contract with the dreadful
Seville dog pound earlier this year), denied that he had made any
promises and ended up saying he had no solutions for the 56 dogs.
Surprisingly, he said that he was going to call the volunteers about
some animals abandoned in a field and talked as if he was looking for
places in other Spanish shelters himself, something wich is untrue. He
came across as a flaky character with no sense of responsibility.

Since July last year the volunteers have taken in 150 dogs and given
67 in adoption. The local police call them every time there are
abandoned or injured animals following the Council's instructions but
the 6000 euros annualy go to the Seville dog pound...

parece inaceptable, las promesas deben cumplirse, sobre todo cuando se

support that he now denies. That is unacceptable to me, promises must
be kept, especially when they have to do with sentient beings that
