Teaching? June 17, 2004 4:52 PM

Rachel (sorry if I didn't spell it right), Can you recommend a site for people who want to teach overseas? Or any employment for Americans in other countries would be helpful. Thanks! Caroline  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

net sites July 10, 2004 9:54 PM

There are quite a few, and I made a list the other day as I did some extra searching, but I don't know where that's gone. So just so I've given you a little something at least, these are the ones i remember off the top of my head. www.findateacher.net www.monster.com.au WWW.metropolis.org.jp or rather, search for some mags that have the classifieds in them: kansai time out (kto), metroplis/tokyo classified, xpat www.kto.net.jp may be one of the magazines. sorry i couldnt give you more at this stage. know that i did do some searching for you the other day, but managed to lose what i wrote down. sorry. ill try to search again and get back to you. in the meantime, its often good just to search by country name and words such as living in, working in, employment in, jobs in.... cheers rach  [ send green star]

ESL jobs July 31, 2004 11:21 PM

Hi, everyone! I just joined the group and was reading your posts. I found my ESL job in Korea thru www.teachabroad.com They post openings from many recruiters and in numerous countries. Its part of www.goabroad.com which also has listings for study abroad and non-teaching jobs, also. Check it out! Peace---KC  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

To Juli J August 10, 2004 9:58 PM

Im so sorry to hear about that. I actually know some people who are from countries where the first language is not English, who are teaching English in Japan. Oh well. That is bad luck really, but I'd keep looking because I know that some companies will definately take you. Rachael  [ send green star]

Teaching and Travel August 13, 2004 2:07 PM

Hi Everyone, I am a retuired schoolteacher having tauight almost 30 years in the UK and 2 years in Nigeria before the Biafran war. I am a pensioner now and perhaps my teaching days are over. However, my travelling days certainbly are not. For all you travellers do take a look at my travel site on www.globaltravelcard.biz this was introduced to me by our financial advisor when he learned my daughter was miles away in Texas. Using the site I can buy my economy ticket and earn commission and then when I check in at the airport, as a travel associate, I can be upgraded if there is room in 1st or business class. What a difference that makes. Anyone who travels should become an associate. If anyone wants to run a business that can be achieved also. Happy travelling and happy teaching to you all.
