Praise the Lord that I have a roof over our head, with heat and food for today. The Lord watches over those who love him.
Praise the Lord! I also thank the Lord for the wonderful cat loving friends I have here. ![]()
This is a lovely idea thank you Donna.
I am thankful for my lovely boyfriend Graham, I would be lost without him.I am thankful for my lively Louis, life would be dull without him to brighten our day.
I am thankful for my family and friends, that I have a roof over my head and food on my table.
I am thankful for the Cat lovers group and all my lovely friends in it!
I give praise for everything I have and everyone I have in my life.
No one seems to have posted since I was here last so I will add a little something ...
I would like to say I am thankful for the wonderful Christmas that I have shared with my family and friends.
I am grateful and amazed when the Lord helps me here, and it seems there is no way. All of a sudden something happens and we make it. The Lord is good! Praise the Lord! My family here is HUGE, and so far, nobody has gone hungry. Vultures and birdies and the Opossum too, as well as my own and the few strays who come to the soup kitchen.
I might as well give this place a name.
God's will for us is to prosper, be in good health, even as our soul prospers-3John 2...Someone dropped-off on my highway another beautiful little package yesterday;short long bodied black/brown/very hairy feet dog. Now I got 9 cats & 1 dog-Buck...I always keep bag of cat/dog food in my truck for hungry looking little friends I might see wherever around countryside.Praise the Lord and Goodwill to all.Jesus is Lord....
Good for you Gary, even my husband carries a can of cat food in his car at all times. The Lord provides when we wonder what we are going to do next.
Praise the Lord.
Hi!
First of all, Praise be Our Lord because He listen to our prayers and He does answer. I am so happy, this time He answered very fast.
I want to thank my friends that joined me in prayers yesterday. My aunt went to the doctor yesterday ( a very good one in that field) and he told her that she have to be relaxed (she is very nervous and depressed), that she won´t get blind and that her illness usually passes by so he said that he will see her on 3 months. Doctor sent her to rest for about one month, so she is on medical leave right now.
She is so happy that she will continue see her daughter and the whole family. That is what she said to me yesterday, she said: " I will continue see you! " and smiled and laughed of joy. All my family is Praising the Lord and all my other aunts that went to the appointment with were happy, and crying and praising the Lord in the Hospital when I went to pick them up.
I did not cease to pray last afternoon and having such wonderful news gave a quite a nice evening. ![]()

Thanks Sandy, they are wonderful news. I felt amazed to see how powerful prayers are and how merciful Our God is.
My family constantly commented that they lost their faith and were waiting the worst, that is why, all my aunts and mother went to the appointment with my aunt.
That made me remember the Bible verse that says:
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20

Ana, I am so very happy about the news. Praise the Lord...again and again.
liliana
Praise the Lord ! I am so happy to read this wonderful news Ana, and you are so right about that verse too. I thought of the same one about the faith of a mustard seed. ![]()
I praise him everyday, especially for him (my universal entity).

There is power in prayer!!!
Thank you dear Lord!!!
God always answers our prayers, just not always the way we wish!
or as soon as I wish...
But He always has a answer. I am happy to report that Missy, Benita´s sister is safe and sound at home. I have told my cousin that take better care of Missy, however she is the kind of person that believes cats should be go outside whenever they want.
My aunt is getting better from depression as another doctor confirmed she just need a surgery in her eyes to have the problem corrected.
And finally, many animals, sheep, goats, cats, dogs, pigs, chicken and cows were rescued and if injured had medical attention. Food, medication, carriers and blankets have been delivered to the shelters, and some people have decided to adopt those animals who lost their humans because of the quake.
Finally, Liliana´s baby boy born as expected and both of them are doing fine.
Those are wonderful news, and for that, Praised be the Lord!

AMEN AND AMEN ANA, HE IS FAITHFUL! love, ivonne
God is faithful Ana, to those who love him, and despite the complaint I had about Jesus being here today, I am going to see that he stays and watches over our families of cats and humans too. Praise the Lord. He cannot be evicted from our group.
Thank you, Donna for creating this wonderful group for us to share
I think you misunderstood my message to you.
I simply asked a question about this thread and the group.
I respect
Christians and all faiths.
Some people
pray to other gods and deities.
I don't
want to leave the group, I love this group, I read daily but don't post to much.
I
pray to the Great Creator and follow a native spiritual path and that's not
wrong, just different.
Maybe you could do a PRAYER thread and everyone could
pray to who they want to?
It's your
group and I respect you, the other members and your faith, just making a suggestion.
Have a great night and I love your pictures you posted, you are a very pretty woman.
Thanks,Danna/Angel

Angel, here is the link to our prayer thread. We have had one for years here. It is for everyone. Who a person prays to is not what the thread is about. It is prayers from one person to another in this thread, and for their kitties, or their families.

Praise the Lord for helping Angels doggie to get through his operation. Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers.
Dear Heavenly Father - when-ever I have felt lost, alone, helpless and hopeless, you have been here for me. You have put up with me, set me back on my feet, forgave me, provided for me, even when I did not deserve your help you have always been there for me! Thank you dear Lord with all my heart!!!
And thank you for helping everyone, and all of your creatures, Angel's wolf/dog, all creatures great and small, you dear Lord in Heaven made them all!![]()
Amen to that Meralyn !
Amen and amen, Meralyn.

Yes, He does answer our prayers!!!
That is wonderful Ana, Praise the Lord. he is faithful to answer our prayers in his perfect time.

Praise the Lord of Hosts as HIS mercy and loving kindness towards us endures forever... Praise HIM for HIS goodness, and HIS tender loving mercies.... There is sooooooooooo much to thank our GOD for... I thank HIM often for giving me all my cats, that HE entrusts us with HIS dear animals, and give us these wonderful companions. I thank HIM for the wonderful oppotunities HE has given me... and the greatest HIS salvation and sacrifice HE made on the cross for us... Hugs to ALL the JESUS fans Gaily
Amen to everything you said Gaily. Praise the Lord for he is the greatest of all king PTL ![]()
While I appreciate and respect everyone's right to their religious beliefs (unless they try to force those beliefs on me), I am disappointed to find this Jesus thread in a group supposedly devoted to celebrating the joys and love of cats. I'd guess there might be many people of other faiths or no faith who love their cats as much as anyone. I'm guessing I will no longer be welcomed here for posting this, but I felt someone should know how I feel. Thanks.
George, if you don't agree with it, you can always just ignore it. Much as God will ignore you when time comes to deliver us all into Heaven if you don't believe in Him. (anyone remember that verse? I am not read into the bible enough to quote it but I remember the teaching itself).
Suzy,
You might be thinking of the one where Jesus tells us that if you deny me to your friends, I will deny you before my Father.
Yes, this is for Christian. Not for those who are not believers. They do not belong to our father in Heaven, and should not be in this thread.
We have a whole other area in cat lovers for those of you who do not belong to God. It is ok that you post in our group, but for those of us who are saved, this is a part of who we are.
You will not be rejected George, unless you insult us. Just stay out of this thread, and go to the many other threads that we have. This is for the saved Christians who want to recognize our Lord Jesus Christ. He is a part of the group.
God Bless!
Amen.
Oh!!!! Praise the Lord!!!
God works in mysterious ways ... so it is said. And now, would you look at this? We have not made a post in this thread since March until George, a person who is critical of this very thread, came in here and brought it back in front of us!!! No matter how you want to believe, Jesus DID die for mankind. He loved His brothers and sisters so much, HE died on the cross for them. Whether you believe in the Christian God or not ... would you do what Jesus did for all God's children? He is AWESOME! Praise the Lord! And thanks again, George, for allowing God's Will to come through you and bring this thread back where the "believers" could readily see it again. ![]()
Amen Sister Deb! It goes to show you that God can use anybody to do his will. Even George! ![]()
From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!!
A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"
The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin."
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.
Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."
The LORD is good-all the time. Im thankful everyday that I wake up to see the wonders of GODS awesome creation. I can see HIM in everything and HE has blessed me so very much. I dont know where i'd be without HIM.HES brought me through so much. Im grateful for myself to be myself through him, Im grateful for my son, family and for my job in this shaky economy- sooooooooooo grateful for my job. Oh and of course I'm grateful for the 2 sweetest cats in the world(of course im a little partial)my KANE AND KALLE. PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM. Thankyou Jesus!!!!!!
DONNA,
Thankyou for the star. Its been a while since Ive been to care group but this is a wonderful thread. How have you been?
It would be a horrible place to live without him Deb. He does butt into Satan's schemes when he puts Godly people in our paths. People come in and out of our lives for reasons that we don't always know.
Joani, I am glad to see you here. I totally missed your Oct 8th post. I get running around with stuff on my mind, and then I miss things.
I praise the Lord for prayers answered on my behalf at my church bible study, which was the night after my fall. I hit my lower back skidding off the step from the kitchen to the utility room.
Then I slid on the blanket, and the small plate of pork chop pieces for Pukka went flying, and I hit the middle of my back and sprained my foot all at the same time, as I also knocked the water over sliding in for a home run. ![]()
I am still sore on my foot 12 days later, but I walked the day after they prayed to God on my behalf. I am sure Deb, Sandrea and Vondi also prayed for me too. I sprained it pretty bad, and when I did it a few years ago I needed help walking for around a month.
My prayer meeting and bible study is now a womens group, run by a fantastic Elder in the church. This week will be our second week. We now pray at the same time on Fridays so that all of our prayers go up together. Anyone wishing to be in agreement can also pray with us on Friday.
What time and time zone would that be on Fridays, Donna?
Donna, I'm sorry you hurt yourself - but golly girl, the way you tell it, that sounds like a great home run!
I gotta ask: Did Pukka get her pork chop pieces?
Seriously, I hope you're feeling better by now....???? ![]()
I haven't been to this thread in so long that I didn't know any posts existed. Yes, Suzy, Pukka got his pork chops, but he passed away not long ago. He got all kinds of treats that he liked. Being blind, I tried to make up for it with attention and food.
I give Praise to God for allowing him to have a peaceful death. I can't ask for any more than that. I found out his age. He was 18 years old. I thought he was closer to 20, but 18 years is a nice long life, and all the cats loved him.
I would like to Praise the Lord for waking us up at 2 am. He first woke up Newbie the kitty, and she went from the dresser on to the bed and to the window until she woke Jimmy up.
I was also awakened by the Lord, as I was sound asleep at 2 when I heard the loud noise and flames coming from the other side of the living room. The wall did not catch fire, but the outlet did. it was buzzing loudly and crackling. I could smell the socket burning. Jimmy ran out into the livingroom at the same time I swung around.
Everyone is ok, and He fixed the socket. Only one thing was plugged into it. It wasn't even overloaded. The socket melted.
I added a prayer of thanks for your rescue!
This is a beautiful inspirational message that I got from Sugar, and if you are like me, better get some tissues. It is touching.
'Thanks Dad!'
Continued.
when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.'
Matthew 10:32 says: 'Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven.'
Thank you Donna...
Good one!! Thank you!
Glad you liked it Marti. It really got to me ![]()
Dang it, my sinuses were bothering me anyway, now, they are worse for the crying, but that was too beautiful not to read. The thing is, there are stories like that that are true.
Kitty Hugs,
Tracy
Tracy,
I was not told that the story was NOT true. The person didn't actually know for sure. It just might very well be true. I remember being depressed and all upset, and I went to a gas station, and the man there smiled, and said God bless. I pulled over on the road to cry, as it meant so much to me, and he seemed like he was glowing. I was not born again at the time, so everything was very bleak to me.
AMEN
And Amen!
What a lovely thread you discovered Heather,I didnt even know we had it.Amen to your beautiful prayer.
Amen
Heather, the Serenity prayer is one of my favourites.I first discovered it in beautiful Chester cathedral where we always went when we visited Chester, England.Ive kept it in my bible ever since & it has helped me many times in my life.It is a beautiful, meaningful prayer.Thank you for posting it for others to share.
I LOVE the serenity Parayer. It is my favorite.
I first heard it from an AA member friend of mine....after that, I heard it at every AlAnon meeting I attended during the 7 years I was a member....when my alcoholic husband was behaving in his usual barmy fashion, I found that saying it out loud helped to drown out his sarcastic nastiness.......I have reason to remember that prayer - with gratitude..it's all true, you know......
Heather they do have some beautiful cathedrals in England. The Liverpool cathedral is also quite beautiful & its taken them 100 of years to build it as its made form sandstone. When I left UK they were still building it.Im not sure if its finished yet even. Some nice cathedrals in US too,we went to a lovely one in St Louise Missouri & also in Chicago too.Hope you get to see England one day Heather![]()
I love the serenity prayer. It reminds me that there are things I can change and things I can't. It reminds me that God is in control , and not me...and to leave others to God sometimes.
Tonight I am grateful for my husband, a warm home to live in, my kitties of course! and my health. I have learned that w/o your health you don't have much (at least that is how I felt).
This January I was 7 years free of cancer. I also survived the first year without Ray.
Sugar ![]()
Congratulations Sugar on being 7 years cancer free, that is wonderful news.God bless you & keep you safe & cancer free thru your lifes difficult journey.
Congratulations, and may all praise be to the Lord. That is wonderful news Sugar.
I offer praise to the Lord for my 24 yrs alcohol free, and 5 yrs nicotine free this July 8th. God is always there to help those that really mean it.
Amen to that Donna.
Praise be to God Donna! It is already 5 years that you are nicotine free! It seems just like yesterday that you quit smoking. I bet it was a lot easier than you thought it would be. Ray was really surprised how easy it was and he was a voracious smoker since he was 9 years old. Of course his mom didn't know he was smoking.
