Here is a picture of Gael and I with one of the cows from Cow Parade in La Jolla, CA. It was real fun seeing all the different cows and I just posted a new photo album with the best pictures I took.
Glad people like the photo. The website for the event is still up the last time I checked a couple of days ago. www.cowparadelajolla.com. It was really neat walking around and seeing all the decorated cows. We saw most of them (around 26 of about 40) before I dropped and broke my camera.
They are having difficulty selling the cows, they were supposed to be auctioned to benefit the Children's Hospital and the San Diego Zoological Society (of which I am a member of). Now that I have a new camera (actually sort of the same model I broke, one model up from it - thanks to eBay) we may go back to see the rest of the cows.
My brother found this pic while going through old albums. This is my great-grandfather William Chapman driving the car he built. The children are my great-aunts Helen and Mary, and my grandfather George. Pic was taken in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Wow Cindy, that's really going back. What a neat car. It reminds me of a bicycle built for 4, but I gather it has an engine, although I can't make it out. Super shot of the old photo....I can almost read the name on the store in the background.
The engine is under the car, you can see a rod connecting it to the back wheels. Grandfather William was quite the engineer - he invented a device for taking static electricity out of paper and cloth that is still in use in those industries today (the Chapman Static Electricity Neutralizer)
Cindy, that is one neat photo! And that "car"!! I've never seen anything like that before Miria, you and your sis look adorable! Gaily, what a beautiful picture of you and your son

Miria, that is a sweet picture of you and your sister, and Deb, that is a great old photo. Your Mom has a familiar look, like I might have seen someone that looked like her in one of our albums. My sister has most of them now. We kind of split them up when my parents passed.
Well, my Mom's family is from your state, Donna. Then they all moved to NY, and later to CA. I think from that time period, they all sort of look alike
Ahhhhhhh!!!! Charmaine!!!! You snuck in a picture on us!!! I am sorry I missed this sooner, too. What a neat picture of Uncle Chris with little Pepper!
Yes ... in the cat animal family. Definitely a long-hair breed!! Val, he has beautiful eyes!! And, yes, he looks like a great guy. Thanks for sharing!!
That picture is a riot. The kids are adorable, and that expression on your great great Grandson's face is priceless.
Beautiful wedding picture Cindy. Your daughter is so pretty, and she looks so happy on her special day. I don't like going to weddings, but I love being a bride. in my own wedding.
