Hmmm no one has put a shot of their kitty in for group photo yet??
How is a photo inserted?
Richard , the easiest way i have found to do it is upload pictures to a photo site like photobucket , then copy the HTML code of the pic. Then on here when you post a comment you will see basic editor on the right bottom of the comment box. Click that then paste the HTML code you just copied into the box, then submit.
Some have told me they use the pics from their Care2 photo album but i use photobucket . I always have it open in another tab so i just switch over to it when i want to get pics to submit in here.
You already made a care2 album, so the easiest is actually just to copy and paste it into a post.
I also am sure to click on the picture to enlarge it before copying/
If it is too large it will widen the thread, so sometimes it has to be shrunk/ I am not sure of how large this photo is yet, but I am guessing this one is up for group photo. It is a nice clear shot. I don't pick and choose, I go by who is next, but if the photo up next is a bad one, I skip over it and ask the person to post a new one.
OK, Sally will be in for September. After that, I would encourage ot hers to post their best close up shots of their cats.
I don't have to have one huge head with no ears. I mean a close up without a bunch of stuff in the photo for me to cut out. The group photo is small, so if the cat is a small object in the photo, it will not look good.
I hope this one fits the bill. This is my cat, Osiris. He's my old man at 12 and very special to me.
Yes Darla, I love the gold eyes. I might cut some of the left side of the photo off so that more of him will be seen in the tiny group photo. He should be Mr October. I guess you hear it all the time, but I have a couple of black cats that look like him.
See everyone has their own locations to post pics from . As i use photobucket , others use Care2 albums .
Great shot of Osiris Darla !!!
Heather, I also use photobucket. I use both care2 and photo bucket. I always suggest care2 albums because they are much simpler to explain. I think we have a photobucket diagram somewhere in one of the threads.
I click on the pohoto I want, then the direct link. It copies automatically, and then to the post.
Click on the square next to the yellow smily. Then right click on the pop up that comes down to copy the direct link. Then make a name for it under that link, and click ok.
Here is another pic of Sally.
Donna, I figured you'd have to cut some of it out but that was as close up as I could get. If you have cats who look like my Osiris then you must have some beautiful cats b'cuz I think my boy is a beautiful kitty. I'd love it if he were Mr October!
Thanks, Heather, for the compliments on my picture and of my Osiris. He's very special to me and we have a great human-feline bond.
Donna, I love what you did with Osiris' picture! When I went to reply to the comments it wasn't there yet but it was when my previous comment posted. Weird. Love the picture of Sally too. I just copied from my Care2 photo album when I posted pictures here.
HAH!! Donna i love what you did with the pictures . You did that at photobucket right? Theres some really cool things you can do with pics there .
I have never copied from a Care2 album , i ought to try that sometime . Thanks for the "how to" info .
I actually use a site called compupic that a friend of mine sent to me. He bought it but lets me use it. I never tried the stuff on photobucket yet, but I know they have some photo stuff there too.
Glad you two liked the pics. I like doing that sometimes. I found out after about 10 years that suto correct will lighten a picture that is dark. I tried Raina but I couldn't get it as light as I wanted to.
This is my Rosie. She is going on 12 now. She found me at a state park when she probably was around a year old. I had my 120 pound black lab, my Annie, and Rosie came right up to her and rubbed all over her legs. Rosie was so hungry, yet so sick but now she is pretty good. She has to take prednisolone every other day to keep from vomiting. She is very playful and very cute. I love her. She almost ended up at a shelter, but they were full and said they would put her down that very day. It may have been a stock answer, but I didn't take any chances and I brought her home. I am so glad I did.
Donna, yeah the bought programs are awesome, lucky you get to use his . They're so expensive . I also tried Raina's pic (lighten) but it didnt turn out so well . So i left it . I also love doing little things to pics to spice them up
I just tried out posting from Care2 album and you're right its easy, and i see how its easier to explain.
Yep Heather, it is easier, especially to explain. I do it fast because I know what I am doing, but care2 album is the easiest.
Sugar, I used something to sharperen the photo. It seems to be a little bit more clear. The original is nice but a little fuzzy.
Sugar, your Rosie is such a pretty kitty and you got a great picture of her. It's wonderful how you rescued her ~ she found you and knew she'd found the purrfect, forever home.
Donna, I think it's great that you have a photo program you can use to do things with the pictures. You do wonderful work.
Thank you. I don't have much to work with though. Some of the fancy pics of my kitties were made and sent to me from an old friend of mine.
Donna that's cute! Thanks for the touch up and Rosie's hello to me.
Love what you did with Rosies picture!
Heather suggested I put Little Joe here in the group photo list. So here is the little monster! He's a pistol.
Sugar that Lil Joe of yours is such so handsome. All your babies are really but theres just something about him that just makes me wanna hug and kiss and pet him and just love him up . hahah

Oh that Gabrielle is so cute.
Sugar, are you out to dry me crazy now. I LOVE that pic of Little Joe, but I cannot use both pics, so it looks like he wins, and I think again. Didn't he go up not that long ago? He looks like my Blackie...
Osiris is very dignified and handsome. Sally looks very gentle and pretty. Rosie is a cutie and poses well. Little Joe looks like my Esmerelda. Also very cute. Gabrielle is adorable in her maple leaf sweeter. This is Zena,(princess warrior), newest rescue. Dumped at 12 weeks old. She is recovering from a neck wound, but otherwise healthy. It took almost 3 weeks to get her to trust me. When I brought her in the house she was quite at home. The other older kitties are slowly getting used to her; sort of! My photo won't post. I will try again. Thanks for all the posts.
Ann, she is beautiful !!!!!
Thank you Screamingbelle. Sorry to take so long answering, but my computer had a major hiccup and I am just back on now, Hugs to Everyone and their kitties
some great cats here!
Emma, Gabrielle is beautiful and I love the sweater since I am Canadian.
Ann, your Zena is just gorgeous I'm glad you rescued her.
Such great pictures of all of your very beautiful/handsome cats. I need to start taking some pictures...all my kitty pictures are stuck on my other computer and I haven't had time to fix it yet.
Angie, you can download a Linux distribution iso file, burn that file to a CD and use that CD to start your other computer so you can get your files from it.
This is a closeup of my kitten Bandit, doing one of her 3 favorite things...sleeping, eating and playing. Although she is quite tiny next to my other 2 cats, her legs are very long for her size.
Awe Bandit is so sweet. Glad you got things working, so we could see her.
Another pic of Zena. She has discovered my planters!
Noss you are a beautiful lady!
Oh my goodness all your babies are just gorgeous. GREAT shots everyone!!
Buggy, when I got my camera close to him.

I will need a clear pic of your kitty when it is time to put him in. I am having so much trouble putting the new ones in that it might not be for quite a while. I can see that he is really cute, but the pic is too blurry.

My baby is all black. Her name is Bella b/c she is so beautiful.
I lost my post
I wanted to say that your cat Trulte is stunning. It looks like 3 cats in one. Look at the points on her ears. Amazing. She has the sweetest and yet such a fascinating face. Beautiful!
What kind of cat is she, Missy?
Mind you all the other cats are seriously beautiful as well. I love Cats sleeping and Bandit looks so relaxed and settled. Zena is such a beautiful looking baby too with her big eyes.
Missy, Trulte is just beautiful, glad your mom saved her.
Angie, Bandit and Roxy are adorable, I will have to post a picture of my Roxy.
Noss, you are a gorgeous girl.
Summerannie, do you have any pictures of Bella?
Virginia, Max is a cutie. It looks like he has a moustache.
Wow Missy, Trulte is an amazing looking cat!! I just love your closeup of her. You're right Summeranni...she looks like 3 cats in one. Thanks for sharing Missy!!
Ok I'm going to give this a try first time uploading a pic to discussion board hope it works lol

Hi Everyone. Not sure why my previous pic disappeared, as it is still in my album?
Angie, Roxy is lovely. Nice side profile.
Sally, Noss is jet black and beautiful.
Charmaine. Awe Buggy is so cute. Hard to get them to sit stil at that age.
Missy. Trulte has very distinctive features. What breed is she. Looks like a beautiful little linx.
Sorry Annie you lost your post and Bella's pic. Trying again?
Heather, love the photo of your kitty. Beautiful deep green eyes.
This is Gulliver. I had people bring him to me as a wee kitten with severe health problems. Isolation and 4 months later he was up and playing. He is partially deaf and cherps instead of meowing.
I am not sure why the photos are vanishing either. A lot of the ones I posted are gone.
Gulliver is a doll !

Don't know why i couldn't put message with the photo. Gulliver is a cutie.
I love all your kitties, they are all so precious & sweet!
Trutle is a Maine coon thingy.. mini main coon we call her
Sweet kitty Alice and love Stripes pose, Sandi.
Welcome Katie K. What is your petition?
Care2 is still having problems with photos disappearing from albums. The little ones are there, but no the larger ones when you click to bring them up. I hope this one stays.
I love the colours on Josephine Ann....she is very beautiful!! Gulliver is also a cutie.
Sandi~~that pose of Stripes is so funny.....I have had several cats that seemed to arch so high that they looked folded in half.
Cute picture Alice!!
Nice to meet you Virginia and Max
Ann, Gulliver is such a cutie and Josephine looks like she is a real sweetheart.
Sandi, Stripes has beautiful markings.
Stripes & me want to thank everyone here all the cats are awesome,
Just love all your cats they are all so lovely remember when I was a kid and there was this big cat that was ruling the street were I lived it had many scars, half ear ect but it took a likening to my mom like most cats and it moved into our garden. And he was such a cutie and cuddly cat.
My mom and dad took it to the vet to make sure it was healthy because he was getting skinny. And he never came home I was only 6 at the time but I still remember it.
Sally Noss and Bella could be twins. Bella is very much like Noss.
Missy O I am mesmerised by Trulte. She is unusual and I have never seen a cat facially like Trulte. Loved your story of the cat who adopted your Mum but so sad that he never returned home.
I believe we all remember all our animals no matter what they are b/c they are all a part of our lives and family, the same as I remember all mine from a child upwards.
I have tried over and over to get Miss march in. If she finally shows up I will just extend her time into April if need be. I am so disgusted......
Hi. Sorry Screamingbelle, your having a hard time getting Miss April up.
This Olivia. Mama to 7 of my kitties. She loves her plants.
Olivia is beautiful
ah what a lovely cat and cute frog too.. is it a frog?
Thanks Screamingbelle and Missy. Glad you like her pic. She loves climbing trees and anything green!
Ann, Olivia is gorgeous, I like the markings on her face. Does she ever try to eat the plants? Anytime a plant comes in my house Teddy tries to eat it right away so I have to keep everything up and away from him except the cat grass, of course .
Ann~~I just love Olivia's colouring. She looks very at home nestled in with all your beautiful greenage. My cats couldn't care less about me plants except for when they get in the way of their chasing each other around and end up on the floor. They always look so guilty until I get it cleaned up
This is Bella. Sorry for the quality but its C2 and their probs with albums. Bella is a rescue. She is just over 2 years old. Her original name was Sirini but she never came to it. Anyway she was born on lst Feb 2011 and not that long later she was adopted.
Sadly those people brought her back to the RSPCA here and said nope cant keep her. So that was September 2011 and off she went with the next new owner/s but by Christmas 2011 she was brought back again and they too said Nope cant keep her and the feeble excuse was that when they moved they were told they couldnt have pets. Id move again!
Anyway she was over looked by many and then my black cat who looked the same died suddenly and I was a week without a animal so i went and saw on the net at the RSPCA a black 3 legged cat but she was still quite ill from surgery etc. I came home crying my heart out b/c i wanted to save them all and dogs too. They were all simply beautiful.
The next day I went to another RSPCA but further a field and searched but it was Bella who made this noise which she still does that had me looking. Well we got her out of her cage and it was her love at first start that got me. When I looked up, the girl showing me Bella aka Sireni had tears running down her face. We both knew Id take her and here she is in her Tunnel and playing with her pink feather. She doesnt like having her pic taken much..she puts on a scowl. lol
See - Noss and Bella could be twins

Bella is beautiful Summeranni.
You are both so lucky to have found each other
Summerannie, Bella is a beautiful girl, I have a tunnel like yours at home too and all my kitties just love it.
Summerannie your story bought tears to my eyes, Im so glad you have her,she is a lovely girl with such a sweet face.
Ah what a lovely cat bella is
I am just waiting for the day when I can have a cat agin.
Thank you, Angie, Michela, Penny and Missy.
Penny I have to admit you arent the first to tell me they cried on my writings but it was how this baby kitten was treated but saved in the end by me.
You know I omitted to tell you that when she was taken out of her cage by the young woman at the RSPCA and given to me she smooched me and rubbed her face against my face and licked me to death lol which she does still. Anyway after having a quiet time and chat to here and assessing her it didnt take long when she settled and ' fluffed her feathers up' in my arms.
I said to her, gosh you're name is Sirini thats a mouthful but you are so beautiful in all ways.......... just so beautiful like Bella in Italian..... beautiful. (Im not Italian tho) and I said to her.' Shall I call you Bella, is that a better name?' and she made a noise but not a meow. A bit later when I had made up my mind and the staff member was still there of course I said to Bella, do you want to come home with me and be safe?' and thats when she made this squeak that was so loud and when I looked up this RSPCA young staff member with tears running down her face. She said ' Looks like we have a MATCH! I said how good is that?
Lets go and do the paperwork and we did. She was a bit over active when she came home but each person who walks thru the door or knocks on the door is welcomed by her and if they come in, well she is over them with huge purrs, licks and paw touching to pay attention to her till I rang the police about something and they came to the door and he spoke, she looked and run under furniture and wouldnt come out. I guess she knows he was a bit gruff. lol Other men who visit, she loves as too with women and children and promptly sits on their knee.
Missy I bought the tunnel so she could hide and collect her thoughts and feel safe. She loves the feathers, scratching poles and different level thingys but she adores scrunched up paper the best and has a toy that has a mouse on a spring and its round with a tinkle bell inside and when she hits it the mouse skoots around inside the ring. Shes pretty good now that i have cat proofed as much as I can. 4 mths after I bought her she decided to walk on everything in the house and had a fascination for the tv. Well I m telling nooo and she ignored me and walked behind it and flicked her right back leg out and completely knocked the tv off the buffet cabinet put a dent in its top and deep gouges in the doors and ripped off the door knob and put a dent in the floating floor. Wow did she know she had done wrong and I hadnt said a thing lol. Guilty as charged. I went to the hardware store and bought sticky carpet protector which is like a thick plastic thing like glad wrap you put over food but thicker and stronger and one side is non sticky and the other is. Its used for tradies for dirty boots etc and not wrecking carpets. I put it everywhere and she learnt that if she stood on it it would stick to her feet. It has worked but she lapses from time to time but she is now very good and has learnt quite a lot of things. She knew nothing.
Beats me what they did with her.
She sounds like a lovely cat, the reason I don't have a cat at the moment is well we live in a house were we are not allowed to have pets, and alsow my kids are only 5 and 7 and I think they are a bit young still.. keeping in mind that I did many things out of love with my cat at 7 that was totaly crazy like when I made a eleveator out of a basket and put a string on it and put the cat in.... poor Kitty... but she loved me and followed me around.. took me to school and watied in the the woods for me to come home.. ah the meomorys
hugs to you all
She is a lovely cat and actually very pretty even tho it doesnt show in the upper photo. Im my opinion all children should have a pet and 2 is a good age to teach them how to take care of a pet by the parents teaching the child. I have a friend who didnt have a pet growing up for whatever selfish reason by the parents. Now she is apprehensive with animals and literally touches them with one finger and thats the pat!
Shame you cant have pets but dont let your kids go with out. Maybe you can ask the house owner if you could. Cats are easier than dogs one way or another. You dont have to go out in the rain/snow etc to walk the dog and a cat like Bella is totally an indoor cat. I remember having a marvellous time playing with all my animals from a cat and dog, to a lamb to fish, to a budgie, to a rabbit to guineapigs and chooks and we lived on a suburban block! Mind you we didnt have all of them at the same time but we did have quite a few..oh and mice too. It all helped us learn how to care for something outside ourselves. Each of us siblings have had numerous animals since we left home to spread our wings and we all have animals still! Im glad we did have animals b/c I have the greatest respect for them. Plus you can train them to be the best they can be. Even Bella has learnt quite a few things already which is great. Yes, memories
