Sugar, I'm going to go ahead and start a new thread as the previous one is getting long. Here's the link to the previous one ~

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. I watered my plants this morning and in the planter bottom dish of one of my mini roses a gecko came out when I filled it with water. He sure was a cute little guy! Sunshine was the only cat outside again this morning. If I don't see Black Beauty and Sassy later today I'm going to ask my neighbor if she's seen them. Not much going on, just my usual.

Laura, sorry you lost your internet connection due to the rain. Glad it came back.

Sandi, yes, I said cookies and they were very delicious! If we lived closer I would've shared. I'm sorry you got bit by the ants. No, they weren't fire ants as they're not black. Glad you finished pulling the weeds though I'm sorry to hear you're hurting now. How cool that you had rabbits who died of old age. No, my statue wasn't found. I talked to our apartment complex manager yesterday and they're going to look for it around the complex. I received in the mail a "birthday" {my mom sent me the money to order it b'cuz she didn't get the ad for it on time} figurine last Saturday. It is a crystal cat with a "ruby" necklace an dis quite beautiful.

Wendy, sorry your eyes are sore and to hear that you have a rare cataract. Hope it does well with the surgery you're going to have. Keep us posted.

Donna, great to see you here.

Sugar, glad your cataract surgery was such a success. Sounds like you worked hard cleaning out the mess in the culvert. Glad you were able to get what you did done. Hope there's no more flooding for you. Glad to hear your groundhog is safe. HOpe your eye exam today goes well.

Take care everyone aand have a fantastic day.

Darla thank you so much for starting a new thread. I'm sure soon everything will be worked out soon. At least I hope so.

My eye doctor's office called a little while before I was to leave. His mom has went to the hospital, they think she just had a stroke. And last night I went to TKD and my instructor's dad went to the hospital with a stroke. Wow, maybe I shouldn't work so hard! I was just getting ready to go outside and start trimming the rest of the shrubbery while it is not raining. If the deck ever dries out I will put on the second coat of penetrating stain. If it doesn't rain Saturday it should be dry enough.

Talk to you later Darla, and thanks again.

Hello everybody!!!!

Sugar, good luck with your eye appointment today, so happy to hear that your groundhog is out again and safe. You sure worked hard to clean out your culvert but it sounds like you did a good job clearing it.

Wendy, good luck with your eye surgery, it sounds like they should be able to help you and that's great. You will have to keep us posted on it. I hope the soreness you have now goes away fast.

My mom has three small dogs - yorkies. Two of them were already 11 years old when she adopted them from a rescue ,one of them Bella was blind from cataracts. Last week my mom took her to an eye specialist/veterinarian and he performed the surgey to remove them and now she can see!!! It's amazing she has 98% vision in one eye and in the other eye she can see things in the distance but just not close up (that cataract was old and could not be removed fully) so now cute little Bella can finally see and my mom said she looks at everything. I think she is very happy now and everything seems so exciting for her.

That poor little orphaned raccoon that I told you all about a few weeks ago that lives in my backyard is still being bullied by the others and he is half the size of the others that were the same size as him. I don't think he is getting enough food, they bite him when he gets too close. I feel so bad for him. Last night I was outside feeding my feral cats and I heard something in my recycling bin and I looked and it was the poor liitle guy and he was stuck in there and couldn't get out. The box was empty as yesterday was garbage and recycling day and when they chased him he must have fell in it because it's beside my raised porch. He was very scared understandably so I tilted the box and he ran away. I wish I could help him but I'm not sure what I can do. I am sure that all the rehabilitation centres won't take him unless he is injured as they don't have much room at this time of year. I am at a loss.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, talk to you all soon.

Michela, I still think you are a gift to the world. thank you so much for all you good works. I think you are wonderful.

Hey Donna, I still can't post or do anything as sugar150 except read when not a private thread.

Talk to you later,

I have to go to the Church in a little while and run the vacuum cleaner first.

Oh Sugar!  How horrible of your first husband!  I am so sorry abouy Willie and Pringles   I gave Maitland extra cuddles and scratches from you today and I am sure your Willie and Pringles have found my Rose and thiey are having a nice peaceful chew on their cud together.

Hi Donna - David bought me some episodes of Touched by an Angel on DVD when I wasn't feeling too well, and it soooo good to watch - picks me up no end - I love that show!

Hi to everyone - sorry for short post - it's my bed time here - so goodnight and hope everyone has a good day

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. When I went out to do my morning chores there were no kitties to greet me. I left food and clean water for them anyway. Got my roses all watered. Have some buds starting on the pale yellow one and some leaves turning red on the pink one. Hopefully that means buds will be starting soon. Not much going one here, just my usual.

Sugar, you're welcome for starting the new thread. I'm sure everything will be worked out soon too. Wow, 2 people with strokes! That's horrible. I wish the best for them. So, did you go trim the shrubbery? Have a good day at church.

Michela, how awesome that Bella can see again! That poor little raccoon. I'd try calling the rehabilitation centers just in case one will take him. It's worth a shot anyway. Try putting out extra food in a place he can get to but the others can't.

Val, great to see you here.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

Val, they take touched by an angel off to put all this other reality garbage on. I  can never find a good show to watch half the time. I do watch highway to Heaven at 5, but I have seen each episode hundreds of times, or close to it.

i always loved touched by an angel and highway to heaven. They were great shows and ok for kids to see too. I dont let my kids watch to much tv, way to much GARBAGE & smut on there now.

Well some of the kittys are just getting over a uri. Princess P, baby boy, tiggy, I have no idea where it came from buy it hit all 3 of them. Giving them all l-lysine to help them fight it and build their immune system against it.

We lost power for about 3 hrs this morning, i was hoping it would so my fish wouldnt die.

Well every1 have a good night, i have to go get foo dfor my hubby and take it to the job site he's at, he hardly has time to eat last wk and this wk. only getting about 3-4 hrs of sleep a day until this job is done.....Have a good night

Good morning all. I like touched by an angel and highway to heaven too. Great shows. And I love all the old westerns. Donna I don't care for reality shows either. Shell sorry you are fighting uris in your furkids. I have to call the vet this morning and see if I can get Wosie in. Her ears are bothering her something terrible, like almost over night. I think it is an infection, but not being a vet, it might be something else. She acts like they hurt. Are the fish all okay? I've lost power twice now in the last 3 weeks but just for a couple of hours each. Wild storms.

Darla, I got the whole bunch of shrubs trimmed. I was wetter than if it rained. Muggy, muggy, muggy. It looks so much better. I haven't heard about the two yet with the strokes. I will probably find out in a week or two. Vicky's dad lives in Cleveland and she is with him there. I see the doc in about 2 weeks and will find out about her then.

Hi Teri. I'm so sorry this weather is causing you more pain. Did the problem with your brand name meds vs. generic get settled yet? Enjoy the kittens, I bet they help get your mind off the pain.

Hi Sandi, Mouse is walking with a happy little bounce in his step. He is so happy to hear from Stripes again. I hope your pain goes away soon.

Take care everyone. God bless you all,

Sugar

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. Watered my plants this morning. Also gave the outside cats food and fresh water but there were none to greet me. My cats are all fine ~ they're sleeping all around the place.  Not much going on here, just my usual.

Teri, sorry you're hurting. Hope you feel better and get your medication soon. Glad to hear that the cats are all well.

Sandi, sorry you're hurting. Hope you feel better soon. Enjoy your book.

Donna, I used to watch Touched By an Angel and Highway to Heaven too. I'm with you, I don't like the reality shows they have on these days.

Shell, kids don't need to watch a lot of TV anyway. There's so much else they could be doing like reading or playing outside. I didn't allow my kids much TV either when they were growing up. In fact, when Ray and I first married we didn't even have a TV. We played a lot of board games as a family. Sorry to hear some of your furkids have a URI. Hope they get over it soon.  We also worry about our fish when power goes out. Ray went out and got a battery operated "bait keeper". It oxygenates the water for the fish and is good for emergencies.

Sugar, sorry to hear about Wosie's ears. Hope it is nothing serious and that she feels better soon. It's great that you got the shrubbery trimmed and that they look better. Sorry you got so wet doing it. Well, hope the two with the strokes are doing well. Keep us updated when you hear something please.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

I am still waitng for the name brand to came thur for me. and became more in pain because of not haveing it and the cold and dramp weather.its only 65 here today. We were to go to Harry's great grandaughter's birthday praty, but because of the weather we stay at home .but I need to go mail his time card and get the mail.waiting for my new pants and dresses to came. The kittens were driveing Harry and I crazy at 7am this morning with they hard playing in the kicthen  snd running down the hallway back and forth.Than the adult kats just went and took they nap and the kittens at last join them.as did Harry  and I.Michelle just got up and is thinking of going outside, wait until she see now cold it is outside she be right back inside.Harry did put the heat to get the chile out of here and than trun it back again so it would not over heat the house once again.I can not belive that itd thid cold in july.Well I better get dress and go for the mail.hope you all have a great day.God bless.

Nice to see everyone here. Teri, hope you get your meds soon. as rather chilly hear also but after the heat I like it.  Sugar maybe Wosie has ear mites,   Stripes is running around singing my mouse is back, at least that's what it should me if I could talk cat. Meow!

Hi everyone. Sandi, it is an infection for sure. Oh in a few minutes I have to medicate her. Oh I'm dreading it. She is a horrible patient! She will be getting meds for 10 days, 9 more, the Tresaderm is only for a few days. ClinDrops are for 10 days. that's the hardest to give her. The prednisone is easy.

Teri, sorry the weather is adding to your pain. It's too bad your insurance company doesn't have pain and can't get the right medicine. Then they might not drag their feet so much. Have as good a day as you can,

Darla I will let you know about the mom and the dad with strokes as soon as I hear anything.

I just looked at the clock and it's time to dose Wosie and then take a shower and get ready for church.

Have a good Sunday everyone,

Sugar

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. Just a quiet day. Not much going on, just my usual.

Teri, sorry you're still waiting for the name brand and that you're hurting. Sorry too that it's so cold there. I don't like the cold weather as it affects my pain. The kittens sound like they're really growing and playing a lot. It's just like kittens to play when you want to sleep.

Sandi, great to see you here.

Sugar, sorry to hear Wosie's got an ear infection. Giving her medicine will get easier. Thanks for keeping me informed on the people who had strokes.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

at last ,Cldy has out grown his first collar .. So will need to replace it for him on the frist,as I may need to collars for all the kittens and bonnie a nd jazzmint.first collars so tim to replace then all for they final collars at last.Michelle has got a few more day to school starting for the new year.she be walking across that  stage this year.with her friends and classmate's.I am so proud of Michelle for she has came a very long way andd rough road of nothing but rock's.Now since I been home schooling her, she has came a very long way in her study's.and now it will be time for collage f or her.she has grown up so fast right in front my eye's and I did not miss any of it either ,Thank You God,Harry had a other fal today and fall on to the floor why trying to get dress.I wish the doctor at the v.a. would  do something about his falling.he seem to have one or two a month.I said something once before I guess I will have say something again.I and michelle see our doctor next week.bleed work and just about everything you can think will be done.for her school check up and for my recheck to get all my meds refilled and talk about what we are going to do to get my artortech 75.if I do not have ot by that time.God for bid.I am just looking forward to a new week with a new start at everything and its gets to hard for me I will drop in God almighty lap and let me handle it totaly.well with hopeI hope that you all have a great weekend and weather was better than my.God bless.

Aw Teri, I'm sorry the cold weather is bothering you. To me it is a welcome relief. I have so much outside work to do and heat is so bad. I hope the cool holds on here but warms up for you. Sometimes we need a day of rest in bed. I've taken a few and all my cats love it. If you feel like it, do it!

Darla I bet your flowers and plants are growing great. Here it is a jungle and I love it. If it weren't for the deer I could have a wonderful garden. My little fox was here 2 times yesterday for a treat, but I didn't know he would be back and didn't have anything out for him the second time. He is so little. The first time he came yesterday he was wet and his little body was so little. I bet it wasn't as big as Wosie's much less Mouse's. He has to work so hard to get his food and I hope he stays away from my neighbor's electric fence. I really worry that I will lose him too. I don't know if he is a boy or girl.

Hi Wendy! Great to see you again. Buni was talking about some kind of 'ear', an engineer? Buni is cute and has a great sense of humor.

I meant to get on yesterday evening, but everyone knows I am home and in the house in the evening and the phone starts! Mouse might have gotten on.

Take care, have a wonderful week.

Good morning everyone!!  I have a million things to do this morning but I wanted to pop in and make sure everyone had a good weekend.

Sorry to hear about Wosie Sugar.  Cats make lousy patients.....whenever I have to give out meds, my cats will go into hiding.  As I walk through the house, I can feel their eyes following me around but they will not come out.  Luckily I don't have to medicate them very often  LOL.

Teri~~I can't believe they still haven't given you the Arthotec75.  Insurance companies certainly sound alot more caring in their commercials.  My mother had a problem with falling a few years ago also.  The doctor had me bring her in once a month for Vitamin B12 shots and it seemed to have helped.....ALOT.  She said she'd be fine and all of a sudden she got really dizzy and it felt like the earth was shifting.  I was so scared that she would injure herself really badly when I wasn't around.  I hope you're feeling better today.

Well, I wish I had time to chat with everyone but seriously, I have to go outside and work.  My husband has planned a family bbq for next weekend which is fine but then someone at his work got injured and now he's working EVERY DAY.  Sigh.....it never fails; I always seem to be the one that has to arrange all these shindigs.....even the ones that are supposed to be a surprise.  Oh well, enough whining....I guess nothing will get done like that either    He has Saturday and Sunday off so that's a good thing.  His job has been so stressful lately....they have changed owners and now the new owners have shaved the employee list down to barebones staff.  It's been crazy and nothing terribly serious has happened yet but I know its coming.  All it will take is more than one person to come down with  a debilitating flu and it'll be all over.  As it is, when the other guy got hurt, Bob ended up going in early and working a 19 hour shift.  He says he doesn't care what happens, he will be home for the party!!

Have a wonderful day everyone....I will try to back later on to do some catching up.

Good afternoon all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. My son left shortly after 8 this morning. His friend came over and they were going to return his rental car then they were headed to her home where they'll get on the road for Georgia. She'll be driving her vehicle and he'll be driving the moving truck. Yes, she's moving to Georgia. The pool right by our apartment is seriously green and closed. I don't know when they're going to get it cleaned and back open. That means if I want to go to the pool I have to walk up to the office one. I didn't feel like doing so today. Sunshine was the only cat who greeted me this morning when I went outside. I got food and fresh water put out and watered my roses. The pale yellow rose bud are starting to show up from the green and I have a couple of the green "buds" on my pink rose bush so I'll be having pink roses soon as well. Not much else going on here, just my usual.

Wendy, thanks for the talkative porcupine video. It was really cute!

Teri, sorry about the cold weather affecting you and Harry. Sorry too about his falls. Yes, you should say something to his doctor about the falls. It's important that the doctor knows. It's great that Michelle will be graduating soon. Hope you get all the new collars that you need for the cats and kittens.

Sugar, yes, my flowers and plants are all doing great. I'd take pictures but it does me no good b'cuz I can't download new pictures into my Care photo albums right now. I have several of my cats' pictures I wanted to share but can't do it. I'm sure your garden is great despite the deer. Besides, how could you go about getting the deer out of your garden without harming them? I'm glad your fox is showing up! Twice huh? That's great!  That's a shame you didn't have anything for him the second time. I know you were upset. Next time you'll be prepared. Well, 'til you're able to tell for sure, just keep calling your fox him. Though if the fox is that small, it just might be a female. Still whether male or female, calling him a him is better than calling him an it. I personally don't like when people call animals an it b'cuz they're living, feeling, beings and deserve our respect. Well, I'll get off my soap box now. Sorry about that. I also hope he stays away from your neighbor's electric fence. Does your neighbor even feel bad that a fox was killed b'cuz of that fence?

Angie, sorry about your husband's job. A 119 hour shift!?!?! That's ridiculous! Hope the family bar-b-que goes well. Is there anyone you can call to help you arrange this shindig?

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

Teri that's great news. Hurry up and begin to feel lot better so you can take care of Harry. You should have him tell his doc about the falls. I hope the house is the one that works for you! It sounds good.

Hi Angela, you know it never rains but it pours! The old Morton Salt slogan. Sorry you are going to have to work so hard getting ready. Also sorry your husband is working so many hours. That's hard!

Darla, I really think she might be a girl, but I don't see any signs of her nursing pups and that is why I have been calling her him. I've had a couple of really good looks when she was wet and her hair was plastered to her body. I have to remember to put my camera handy for when she comes some time.

I'm getting ready to eat a bite of breakfast than take Chewy on a walk and then picking up a grease fitting at a auto parts shop. Take care. I have to give Mouse a couple of minutes,

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. Watered my plants this morning and found that someone cut all my mini roses of the bush! Friggin' people. I'm really tired of being the subject of all this theft and vandalism. I put a sign up asking people not to cut the roses. I called the office and they said the pool should be open by tomorrow. Don't know what's wrong with it just that it's seriously green. Sunshine was out there when I went to put out the cats' food and water this morning. My cats are all doing well. They're all asleep in different spots around our home. Not much going on here, just my usual.

Teri, glad to know you got your name brand arthritis medicine and that it's already working! The house sounds great. Hope you like it. Hope you find Sabryna's collar. It sure is frustrating when they manage to get their collar off isn't it?

Sandi, great to see you here. Love your friendship verse/picture.

Sugar, well, if she's a girl I'm sure you'll figure it out soon enough. Yes, try to have your camera ready for when she comes to eat some time. If you put food out at the same time everyday then being ready with a camera shouldn't be too much of a wait. Enjoy your walk with Chewy.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

Here is the news of news. I don't know if I told everyone, I think I did, about talking to the guy at the horse farm that says he could pet Bubba. I heard him say it, but I didn't quite believe it since Bubba hisses at me when I feed him, and, I had been feeding him for a couple of years.

Well, I got brave, and I walked out on the porch, before giving Bubba his food, I went ahead and petted him. NO PROBLEM... Not only that, I just used the slicker brush, and brushed a pile of dead fur off of him. This is just the beginning. If all goes well, I will bring him into the back room this winter.  I am not sure about the rest of the house as I cannot seem to get rid of that upper respiratory virus.... Been using meds in his food, but this thing hangs on and comes and goes. He has a blind eye too, so maybe that has caused him to hiss since he doesn't see from all angles. Like the rooster, whom, got back out today.

Donna that is great that you could pet Bubba ... does he have the herpes virus? I've got one here that must have picked it up as a kitten ... she didn't come to live with me until she was 7 ... she was never sick, but she started sneezing one day and never stopped. It never developed past the sneezing, so we just give her zyrtec (half a tab) and that seems to woks for her. No one else has picked it up, thankfully. I think my little girl Tori may have gone blind from it, since she has been blind for a while. Her previous owners were pretty much cat ignorant.

I just wanted to mention to Teri, that UTI's sometimes cause falling due to a bit of dizziness that comes on very suddenly, causing just a bit of balance loss ... enough to cause a fall. That might be worth getting Harry checked for that. Sometimes, the UTIs don't even cause much in the way of symptoms so the person doesn't even know they have one.

Hi Deb,

I never had the herpes virus last this long. A month, and maybe 30 of them at once, but that is it. My cat Wonder boy Fred has had the herpes eye twice. I have had that with a couple of other cats in the past, and one was so bad that I  called the vet to find out the cost of an eye removal.... His eye got better, but it took a couple of months.

My female from years ago wound up with a corneal ulcer from the herpes eye, then later I thought she had another one, but the vet said it was a corneal abrasion.

Stripes had the Herpes eye it took a long time to heal. giving pills wasn't  much fun.

Hi Sandi,

I had idoxuridine drops to put into their eyes. It is an antiviral drop. It came from the pharmacy for humans that makes special stuff for animals too.

That's great I had pills and drops that I had to order from wedgewood  pharmacy as my vet didn't have them in stock.

That is the pharmacy I got my eye drops from. The vet picked them up for me, and I picked them up at the office.....small world....

I am at work and don't have a lot of time but wanted to say hello to everyone .

Sugar, I am sorry to hear that Wosie has an ear infection but I heard Mouse say that she is getting a little better with the meds so that's great. I hope that she is feeling better already.

Donna, that's great that you can pet Bubba now, he must be getting use to you after all this time and hopefully that will mean that he will be comfortable in the winter time instead of being outside.

Darla, I am sorry to hear that someone keeps cutting all your roses that isn't nice at all. Maybe the sign that you put up will deter them. I hope the pool is fixed for you soon, I know how much you enjoy the pool.

Teri, that is great news that you got your medication now. The house sounds great, let us know how it is after you look at it, do you know when you might go see it?

Hi Angela, Deb, Sandi and Wendy. If I missed anyone else I am really sorry but have to run, you all have a great day.

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. Cleaned out BabyFace's habitat last night. He's actually shedding again. I picked a couple really big, loose pieces of skin off of him. Sunshine was outside again this morning when I took the food out. No sign of Black Beauty or Sassy. I sure do miss having them greet me in the mornings. Not much happening here today, just my usual.

Donna, that's great that you could pet Bubba. I'm sorry he's got a blind eye and the URI won't go away. Sunshine was also one of those cats who came across as one you couldn't pet. However, she allows me to pet her now. I feel honored that she does.

Deb, great to see you here. Thanks for your info for Teri.

Sandi, great to see you here. I remember when Stripes had the herpes eye infection. So glad she's over it now.

Michela, thanks for your sympathy about my roses. I'm very upset by the loss. I also hope the pool is fixed soon. I do enjoy going. Have a great day at work.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

I have too much to do to sit and chat....I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a great day!!  Headbutts and purrs to all the furkids

P.S.:  What great news Teri....I'm so happy you FINALLY got your Arthrotec75's and life can go back to normal.  What a grind that was....waiting for the powers that be to smile down on you and allow you to have what you need so desperately.  The freaking God complex these insurance companies have is beyond me....how do they sleep at night I wonder?

Michela,

I had to join the group to post. Imagine that!!!!! I just started petting Bubba last night. I do not know for sure if I will be able to get him into the house this winter. I  tried trapping him by putting the trap in front of him when he was on the side of the house, and, I had a carrier on the other side. Both had food, but he KNEW what was up and did not fall for it.

I will try though, and hopefully he will use a box, as he probably never had one, and these have newspapers in them now. He has a nice igloo on the porch with a heated pad for winter, but he quit using it as I think it was because of the vultures coming up on the porch to finish up his food, and he probably didn't feel safe in the igloo. He is not afraid of them, but doesn't not want them around either.

Donna   Well, at least you got in    Hopefully Bubba will change his mind come winter. I sure wish that upper respiratory would clear up. My daughter's cat (that lives with me), the one that is on Zyrtec, had to have some prednisolone for a couple weeks ... well, we went two a day for 5 days then one a day for 5 days, then every other day for three doses. The sneezing she has had for the last 8 months finally let up!!!  Antibiotics did nothing for her, so I got a new vet and she told me she thought it was allergies ... looks like she was right. Anyway ... I sure hope Bubba gets better soon.

Darla that's so sad that people are stealing from you. That is such an awful feeling to have your things taken. And hopefully that pool will get done for you. I sure miss swimming. All the pools available for us here have a million kids in them and I just can't swim with a bunch of kids. Too old for that.

Had to get a cortisone shot in the hip this morning ... that hurt like heck!! And now I can hardly walk. It was supposed to make it so I could walk better. Hoping it starts to work in a couple days because this sucks. That is the last cortisone shot they will talk me into, that is for sure.

Hope everyone has a great day

hello everyone, day was good.walking better every day.so i am back to nomal as far as my arthis go that is.The kats and kittens are all good.but Sassy been  bleeding from her second butt hole the past far days off and on.I plan on getting her to the doctor after I  get paid thusday.I thinking that Cdlye may have try to have his way with her and ripe her w hen she fight him off.other wise all is fine here.Harry is doing good as is michelle.Hope that you are all have a great week.Thusday is my big monthly shopping day.so I am going to busy all day thusday.I will write again sometime thusday.God bless.

Teri, poor Sassy. I hope she heals and I think I would have a serious talk with Cdlye. He might need a trip to the vet. You can't have that happening to Sassy. I'm so glad you are walking better every day. I did my shopping last night. I grocery shop almost every week.

Oh dear, rain again. Oh no, the hawk is sitting on my fallen tree waiting for one of my little squirrels to come out and eat. I have noticed him there before. If I thought I could move without scaring him I would take his pic but I can't put it in my albums. Hey he just took a bite of corn. What is this? A veggie eating hawk? He must not have liked it, he just took off.

I still think it is as good as any nature movie just sitting at my kitchen table watching the world outside the door.

I just remembered, I have fresh green beans to break and start in my crock pot. Have a good day everyone.

Before I forget, I can now do routine maintenance on my lawn tractor! I learned yesterday and my tractor is ready to go if it ever quits raining and the grass hurries ups and grows. I can't believe I want the grass to grow faster! But I want to mow it with my well maintained mower. You know if you can read, you can do anything as long as your body is okay. I already checked for leaks this morning and found none. Yay!!!!

Donna,

I can't believe you had to join the group to post! Some cats just know the trap, I have one last black male feral cat in my backyard that needs to get neutered but when he sees the trap set up he runs from it and won't even come close to it. All the other ferals are spayed or neutered but not him, he is super smart. Hopefully you can get Bubba at some point but it sounds like the igloo is comfortable enough and it's heated so that's great. Do the vultures still come up there? If you put the food in the igloo will they go in it to get the food?

I had to log in again it's a good thing I write the user name and password down. Had some excitement aroung 12:30am. 7 kids were fighting under the street light, I don't know who called the police but 6 cars showed up/ I guess one had a knife as I heard the cop tell him several times to drop it. then he said I don't want to tazer you but I think he did cause I heard a pop then a scream. they were out there until 1:45. Now I'm tired as I didn't sleep good. Just another exciting day.  Donna they delivered the meds by mail.  Glad you could pet Bubba. Good morning all.

Good afternoon all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. I went to the office pool this morning b'cuz "my" pool is still closed and I had to pick up a package anyway from yesterday's mail {it was library books}. If it's not open on Saturday, I'm going to call the office again. I watered my plants today and saw a baby anole {a very small one} hanging out on one of my mini rose bushes. He sat there for a inute or so while I checked him out then he went on to hide amongst the leaves of my mini rose. Black Beauty was out there this morning. After coming in and doing some e-mails, I heard the sounds of a cat fight. I went out and Black Beauty was tussling with a gray cat from the other end of the building. I came back in and got my water bottle then I went out and squirted the gray cat  ~ he chose to leave. All my cats are doing well. We're getting new neighbors upstairs ~ a man, his fiance, and 2 little girls. I met the man this afernoon when I came back from the pool, he seemed nice enough. Told me to let him know if the girls got too loud. Not much else going on here, just my usual.

Angie, great to see you here.

Donna, you had to join the group again? What is up with Care2? Why don't you try getting Bubba in the house before winter? That way he'd be used to it when winter gets here and you'd know if he'll use a litter box. Too bad he won't use his igloo anymore.

Deb, glad your daughter's cat was finally diagnosed correctly. Glad the sneezing let up. Yes, it is an awful feeling to have things takenn even something as simple as all the roses on your rosebush.Sorry all your pools have so many kids in them. I understand completely as I don''t go to the pool when anyone's there if I can help it but especially a bunch of kids. Sorry too the cortisone shot hurt so much and has made it difficult to walk. Hope it gets better for you.

Teri, it's great that your arthritis medication is working so well. Sorry sassy is bleeding. Hope you're able to get her in to the vet soon. Glad to hear everyone is doing well.

Sugar, sorry it's raining again. A hawk huh? I'll bet he's a beautiful bird despit the fact that he's going after your squirrels. He took a bite of corn? How odd! Oooh, I love fresh green beans. Enjoy yours! I haven't had any in quite a long time. How cool that you can maintain your own lawn tractor! That's really great!

Michela, oh, that's too bad that one guy is so leery of the trap.

Sandi, I'm glad you had your  log-in information written down. I keep all my log-in info for all the sites I go to in a little note book. Wow, that was some excitement! Since they were there 'til 1:45am I'm not surprised you didn't sleep good.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

Yes, the vultures still come up here Michela. AND YES, they would come up tot he igloo and go in for the food. I have a barn shed out back, and when the doors are opened, they will walk in to see whats to eat. The cats and the roosters and the vultures get along good in the back yard. I have 7 cats out there. They are males, and of course the roosters are also males.

had a very busy day.left the houseat 9:30 am for once got done at walmart at 12pm head to abbies for lunch and was parked in the shade and after I was done eating put my seat back as did Harry and we took a nap.why Michelle was in the back seat reading her book.fall a sleep at 1pm and woke at 2:04 pm and than head to pick and save. Was home by 4pm and feed the babie's and ourselfs.frist in a long time we have been home by 4pm.Sassy is doing good to day.Yes I have had  along talk with Cdly and he know he was in the wrong.I am going to try my hardest to get him in this month to be fixed and I going to try to get one kat a month fixed.it be the best for them all.before I have 23 kats running around here.Michelle was a great help today like she always is on the frist of the month shopping.I happy that all we have to do on friday is get kat litter and powder and some bread for Harry.and pick of the mail and home.it e so nice to get home and take a nap in my own bed insted in the drivers seat on firday.I seem to get wore out so fast now when I do my monthly shopping.I have a classmate helping us finda house before winter so please say same prays that we can get move very soon.I just can not take liveing here much longer.I just went my ptv back again.I just can not live where everyone is got their noise in your bussn.I have all way been the kind of person that kepts to herself about her personal life a nd did not put it out there for everyone to know.Beside that my kats need more room to run a nd play and be themself again.beside that I and harry and Michelle need our space and do not have it here a ny more.I hope that you all had a great day and your weather was wonderful.my weather was in the 70's with wind.God bless.

Michela, I have been trying to get Black and White to the vets for neutering for at least 2 years but no luck. He hasn't tamed down enough that I dare try to put him in a carrier plus he won't go into a trap. It makes me feel so bad since every Spring he goes back out looking for girls and eventually he comes back home all skinny and dirty and sometimes injured. I don't know the answer. I have put him in God's hands.

My goodness Sandi, I hate to hear about the fight under your street light. I also had to log in this morning. I thought, oh no! Not again! But this time it let me on. I also write down passwords, etc. and hide them in more than one place.

Darla, guess what? It isn't raining this morning!!!!! I can't believe it. The humidity is 90% though. It is supposed to rain tomorrow but if it doesn't I will be able to put the second coat of sealer on my deck and steps. I thought it was very odd too that the hawk jumped off the tree trunk he was on and landed in the corn pile. He dipped his head and got something and I just assumed it was corn. I guess it could have been a bug or something. Who knows.

Donna I got lots of pics lately but can't put them in my album which means I can't post them. I got a picture of 4 of my crows. Hey how do you post short home made film clips?

Hi there Teri, here's hoping you find just the right place and get moved before winter truly sets in. The weather here has been lots better. In the 70s and by noon the humidity is usually burned off a little. I also am a very private person and I really like my neighbors but they also are very private. We respect each other. Of course it helps that they are quite far away up on opposite hillsides. I am in the creek bottom between the two neighbors. A good place to be unless it floods!

Good morning all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. Kona's sleeping on a quilt we have on the floor as a pallet for the cats and Scamp is sleeping on the end of the computer desk. Shasta's in the window while Osiris and Cinder are elsewhere in the apartment {I can't see them from here at the desk}. Black Beauty and Sunshine were both out there when I went outside this morning. Sunshine didn't want Black Beauty near her while she was eating so I moved Black Beauty's bowl. Not much going on here, just my usual.

Donna, how funny that the vultures go in the barn to see what's to eat! They just make themselves at home don't they? Of course, I imagine they're big enough that the roosters and cats don't argue with them!

Teri, sounds like y'all had a busy but productive day. Glad Michelle was a great help.  It's great that a classmate is helping y'all look for a house. Hope y'all find one soon. Hope you get Cdly in to be neutered. I may have asked before, but isn't there any low cost/free spay and neuter services where you're at? You can check with the Humane Society as they might know of something if they can't help.

Sugar, you're doing everything you can for Black and White. No rain? That's awesome! Sorry about the humidity. Yeah, who knows what a hawk would be doing in the corn pile. Could it have been a mouse? Too bad youcan't post pictures. I'd love to see the picture of your 4 crows. Sounds like you have great neighbors.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

Donna, I know you said what you decided on insurance but I forgot what you did, I'm thinking about Mutual of Omaha as I have to find one in the next few months.

Sandi,

I  contacted Horizon  to get horizon medicare. That went into effect yesterday, but  the PAAD will not go into effect until I turn 65 soon. I was contacted by everybody and his brother when I started getting close to 65.

The one guy who was some kind of an insurance broker, met with me at the local restaurant since I did not want him coming here. I got the horizon medicare since it is in this area for one, and there was no premium, but I had to pay a monthly medicare part B premium of 105.00. Now, if you have straight medicare, they pay 80 % of the doctors visit. That is whatever doctor I go to, including specialists.

With horizon medicare, I pay 20.00 coPay for a family doctor, and 45.00 for a specialist, which could run a lot more money if  they do all kinds of tests. With Horizon, it cannot go over 45.00 no matter what, but plain medicare it CAN, as you would be paying 20% of the bill, no matter how high it is. You need to go to medicare.gov  and see what is available in your area.

Sugar, you can open up a google email account, and the youtube is at the top of the page, and your name and password for google will be the same for youtube, and then there is the place where it tells you to upload, like in care2 or photobucket.

Good afternoon all! Hope this finds y'all doing well and with things going great. Things are good here. Our internet/phone/cable went off yesterday afternoon about 2:00! Ray called them then and again between 4:30 and 5:00 but th esoonest they could get someone out here was this morning. The guy got here this morning shortly after 9:00 and discovered that someone had accidentally disconnected it! Ray was furious with them yesterday b'cuz they told him that there were some people stealing cable out here and they disconnected those and must've gotten ours by mistake. So, I'm running late today. Got our rent paid today. Watered plants an dtook care of the outside cars' food/water even though there were none  here to greet me. Not much else happening today, just my usual.

Sandi, great to see you here. I'm on Medicare b'cuz I'm disabled and I chose Human which is pretty good. I pay the MEdicare Part B premium but no premium for Humana. My Primary Care Physician is no co-pay and specialists are $30 while the ER is $65.

Donna, great to see you here.

Teri, glad to hear you and all the kitties are doing well.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic day.

I went with  Mutual of Omaha for my health, as your right medicare only covers 80%. My dad has Humana. It goes into effect 1/2014 as my birthday is 12/28. really like the agent I talked too.

Good morning, it's a Sunday and supposed to be a nice day. Church is on the early morning schedule and a friend has arranged my afternoon. I am kind of down about it. We're going to spend one of the nicest days of the summer in a dern shopping center. That's not my cup of tea at all. I wish I was a stronger person and could just say no! The second day my deck has been dry enough for the second coating and she has arranged an outing again. She just got back from Germany and still isn't ready to just stay at home and relax with her kitty. I love just being at home. She is a person that loves to shop. I don't. Oh well, she's a good person and also all alone. It won't hurt me.

Teri, good for you all, relaxing for a day even though you still had things to do and got a late start. That's life. I hope you get inside the house to see if it will be a fit for you and your entire family which includes kitties.

I have AARP secondary insurance with -o- co-pay. With Ray I had to have that. There were a few times he even had 6 doctor appointments in a week. We would have been wiped out totally with all the co-pays and most were specialists. You all know what that's like. I haven't needed much of my insurance but I will keep it as it is for now just in case.

One more day of giving Wosie meds. Thank goodness for that. And yesterday morning I discovered Punkin had a urinary track infection. She was the best she ever was at the vets. She was a stray that is afraid of Strangers and strange places and she climbed the walls the first time. It was terrible but my vet is special and knows how to treat her. I remind the techs not to get her out of the carrier every time. We take the top off and then the vet takes a soft small blanket and makes her feel safe. She does a lot of the exam under cover! This time we were able to take the cover off for a few minutes, until she began to get scared again. Maybe in a couple more years she will be okay. She cries all the way to and back in the carrier. I always feel worse when they do that! Another thing, Punkin still has fears, even with me. She is not a cat to take medicine easily. The vet gave her an antibiotic shot that is good for 2 weeks. This will save her and me. I had asked for meds that would only have to be done 1 time per day and then found out about the shot. I chose that method. She is better already.

Well my vet budget is shot again.

I wish there were more hours in the day. Or less to do. Some times I wonder how we all survive with all the stuff that we do.

Have a good day everyone,

Sugar
