Reason I will not be here as much for a few days.

My computer has decided to go into total retirement...no longer wishes to be active.  I will of course be getting a new tower this coming week.  In the meantime it is very time difficult doing much on my computer as I have to work in Safe mode which makes it very slow. 

It is my tower...processor that needs replacing...all the rest such as the monitor, keyboard, mouse, printers and scanner are all fine...many of them newish.  

Dual Quad with 64 bit is what I am told & the other suggestion is an Apple.....but I am worried that the rest of my bits won't work with an Apple and what about all of my files which are many.  So if anyone has any suggestions on a fast efficient computer that will not cost heaps that would be great. I need to get it this week.
