No more OHV trails in Roadless Areas!
Dear Friends of the Forest,
For four more days, Sequoia National Forest is accepting comments on their motorized travel plan, which will determine where Off Highway Vehicles (OHVs) can go within the forest. I was hoping you could take a moment to send a letter letting the Forest Service know that allowing OHV roads in roadless areas and expanding the OHV system are unacceptable management decisions.
Could you please take a moment to draft a letter to the Forest Service about their proposed Travel Management plan?

Explanation of the above: The CA Dept of Transportation wants to BUILD A FOUR-LANE HIGHWAY thru a REDWOOD FOREST, for those big-box MEGA-TRUCKS. In doing so, they would have to CUT THE HUNDREDS-OF-YEARS-OLD REDWOODS' TREE ROOTS........!!!!!!!!!!!! The ROOTS, the trees' SOURCE OF LIFE AND NOURISHMENT..... oh, and maybe, maybe, ahem, errrr, just possibly, have to cut down a few of those hundreds-of-years-old Redwoods too, they aren't at all clear about that, if and how many........
MERELY FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE LIKES OF WAL-MART. THAT is their one-and-only "reason" for this TOTAL UTTER SACRILEGE
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION ABOVE. This post was modified from its original form on 07 Nov, 15:05
