DNC @ Care2.com Rules. Please Read!

1.)  No more multiple postings by the same person. Three per day is the max and limit.We need everybody's voices on here and interaction.

2.)   When posting articles, please include links with your first posting or within your thread somewhere if the article continues. If you are posting political poetry, essays, commentaries, articles of your own please give yourself credit with the necessary symbols of: ©,  ®

3.)   No racial slurs, bigotry, sexual discrimination/harassment, personal attacks(this includes name calling) or hate smack, inflammatory comments are  not allowed and will not be tolerated. This is not exercising your freedom of speech rights if you are aiming it at another individual or group of people and then whining because your post will be deleted without warning on this issue alone.

4.)   No porno links or spamming allowed.NO solicitations for money of any kind. That includes links from candidates websites. Do not include them when posting.

5.)   And there will be no brawling in here anymore. If you are duking it out in other groups, keep it there, DO NOT bring it in here. Also do not come in here to purposely pick/start a verbal fight.

6.)  All complaints, issues, and compliments(If there ever are any in this group) please contact me personally via e-mail @:

7.) We will follow the, three strikes you are out policy. Three verbal warnings and you are done here until further notice. You will be banned indefinitely.And I know how to count folks. It will be used as the last resort.

8.)  Anonymous postings are not allowed in this group and have been disabled.

9.)  The newest Care2.com feature, Community Watch has also been disabled from this group. This way members are free to speak their minds, but please remember that ALL WALKS of LIFE venture in here and to be mindful of others with a few words called, respect, tolerance and acceptance.

10.) No more "he said, she said" smack drama scene posts after a warning is issued. Take your complaints up with me at the aforementioned e-mail address or your post will also be deleted.

Jeanie, this rule applies only to the DNC though. This was done so that others can post and perhaps some will read over our posts and start responding. Heck blazes, somedays it is hard to keep up with all the reading and threads. There is alot going on. 

I would hope and appreciate that everybody reads this thread and signs/comments to let me know that they have read the rules, so there are no misunderstandings.   So I am upping this for more viewing and your attention folks.

Welcome Don...Nice to see new blood venture into the DNC. Make yourself at home. And by the way Don, I have begun to hear the blind bush supporters begin to rustle and that shrill whine about his performance and they are beginning to take issue with him. So yes, they have begun the, "How could I have been so naive to have voted this moron into office?" phase. Finally, "Houston, we have contact", with these people. My only concern is what took them so damned long?

Brent, you can call bush whatever you like, but personal attacks against one another will no longer be the norm in here. There is professional boxing for that and I hear Tyson is always looking for another ear snack victim. Sorry I watched, "Evil Dead ll", last night so my frame of mind is in the horror realm of gutterland. And besides it is difficult to wake up in the morning and not call bush a twisted little lying rat....well fill in the blanks. I feel really dumb asking this question, but it is in earnest.  By multiple postings, do you mean that if I post an article/cartoon at another site, I cannot also post it here?  Or, that I can't repeat the same thing over in the same thread?  Or...???

Kristi...No, multiple postings are not what you are doing. Please re-read the explanation above to understand what multiples are and aren't. Kristi, that is your freedom of speech to post the petitions all over Care2.com. That is not what the rule here in the DNC means at all. I welcome your petitions in here, no matter how many other places you have posted them.

The rule applies to those that are posting within the DNC, where they post thread after thread for discussion and then complain nobody is reading them. We need a few good topics not a bazillion for discussion and reading. It just boggles the mind and we are already inundated with the information we are bombarded with online. Sometimes, posters can get carried away with their message and post a ton of threads that nobody has time to read let alone respond to. People are more likely to read and respond if you post a couple good threads. ---ginger

Hi, I'm new here, and too tired to think, but I am soooo glad to hear about the posting rule.

I did a 'News' story on my Petition and within an hour or two it was buried under zillions of posts by three to four people, ONLY.

I was so saddened, all that work I put into it just went down the tubes.

Am most interested in Dem's commenting on why Dubya does not enforce so many laws on the books, but in particular this one group is given immunity from federal law.  Why?

So does this mean I could start a thread on a specific subject, even if it took more than three posts to express the idea, because of the 6000 character limit - or would that violate the rule?

Ginger: Somehow I missed your response to Katii above. I get it now; the rule limits a member to posting no more than 3 Threads per day. That makes sense.

Otsott (see his webpage: 'Words, Not War') I agree with your terms, and like everything we should be decent American's once again. Since 2000 psychological warfare has been USED on us ALL to force us to hate one another (helps the GOP to CONTROL U and FEAR being used to 'take our focus off all the illegal activities being done out of the White House. K-Street Project is just one 'billion dollar deal'. How many millionaires were made from this one building? How many others are going to prison who 'work in the White House?' We'll see. Sadly, it's a very good idea. There are groups on this site that people love to disrupt. DNC is one of them. Good call.

but I had to do this because whatever Care2.com did within their recent changes here it has allowed anonymous postings(And I had that feature disabled because anonymous posters should have enough courage to sign their names for whatever it is that they post) to come through again and ALL that does is allow, flamers, trolls and people that post anonymously re-entry into the DNC to create more havoc. I am not here to babysit and chat. I moderate this board and now I have people sadly complaining that I do not respond to them individually(It is not because I don't want to at times, it is because I can't at times.) This isn't something that I enjoy doing resorting to this method to keep the trollers and troublemakers out but is it the only way I can figure out at this time. Arlene and folks, I am not trying to ignore you at all. Perhaps I  need to start a thread about what I do and who I am on the outside world of online and Care2.com for you to understand my siutuation better. I hope this isn't a duplicate..the last one locked up on me. Hello all! Today is my first day in this group so I thought I better read the rules. I am sorry that there has to be rules at all in order for people to feel safe and secure posting their thoughts and ideas. I belong to quite a few groups on Care2. I do a lot of reading, a little writing, and sometimes a lot of eye-rolling. Thank you Ginger for doing your best to make this a safe place for open discussion. Cheers! For the love of bill & pete's sake...No more links asking for money for individuals, groups or links to purchase any of our DNC candidates books for sale or merchandise or their campaigns. No offense, but I don't sell my own books via Care2.com or the DNC either. Not where it belongs folks. There are other avenues. How about starting links of discussion about reading their books instead?  And that still means DO NOT INCLUDE the links to purchase their merchandise or collect campaign money. peace---ginger

The wait time for posts has been much better than when I made those comments. I do prefer having order than having some of the anarchists here on care2 ripping up the group.

There is a strong difference between trashing and bringing out the negatives of one another's candidates, I have brought out many negatives regarding bush, who hasn't? But the trashing of Democratic candidates has got to stop. I listen to the media trash and blow out of proportion what the Clinton camp and Obama camp and Edwards camp all say about this and that and that is enough of it for me already. We can no longer tolerate negatives of any kind towards candidates and one another. I have been fair and balanced with ALL the candidates, I will not explain my little ole harmless Clintonites group to anybody. It is not a conflict of interest. I have endorsed no one and will not here.  I will not tolerate being threatened or bullied by anybody who appears out of nowhere within the DNC. I have had enough already.
