Hi everyone! I have loved and watched Disney shows and cartoons all my life. Thanks to my Mom I now have a collection of Goofy items numbering 615 pieces. And mind you--that is just items that are Goofy and only Goofy. She always wanted to give my sister and I one special gift for our birthdays and Christmas so that we'd have a collection of some sort. I hadn't planned on collecting anything, so Goofy was the first thing that popped to mind Because I've always liked him the best of the Disney characters. And I didn't think there would be much with just Goofy. Boy was I wrong! But I love each and every one of my items. As time has gone on there are more and more of them popping up. It used to be mainly Mickey and Donald Duck, but....................... Thank you for letting me in on your special group and hope I can add something now and then. Take care--Dori
Hei, WELCOME Thank you so much for being on the group, and thanks for being a Disney fan! I love goofy too! I love everything about DisneyHope you like what you find in here
Hello folks, my name is Kathryn and I am a big fan of Disney. I didn't see my first Disney movie until I was 20 years old and it was Bambii. I was a deprived child. LOL Now I love everything about Disney and their movies.

Eelkat of the Twighlight Manor: Scrooge McDuck's #1 fan October 07, 2005 8:49 AM
Hello, My name is Wendy, but you can call me Eelkat or as most people on message boards call me EK or Eek! I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Maine in the United States of America.
I’m freelance writer. For actual work type work, you know physical labor, I'm a no-kill poultry farmer, or rather I'm operating an egg farm that's been in my family since 1657, that due to my extreme in the anti-abortion protesting, hasn't sold an egg in over 15 years now, and is increasingly overrun with roosters. Farming takes up several hours of my day, feeding, watering, cleaning, shoveling, tending to birds...I have a lot of pets: 8 cats, 1 dog, 2 budgies, 1 pigeon, 1 snapping turtle, 200 +/- hens and roosters (mostly roosters, most of them pit fighter breeds), plus right now I've also got my mom's dog…those are just my current pets, past pets have included, a horse, a goat, a cowati, an eel, 7 fish, 3 rabbits, a third Budgie, 12 dogs, 18 cats, a snake, 5 squirrels, 100+/- ducks, about 500 roosters, and thousands of hens. I also raise and home school 3 teenage boys (my 3 brothers, who's names all begin with J, and are thus known as the 3J's) Any free time I have left after all that is spent on the beach, hiking in the forest, watching TV series DVDs, movies, reading, writing, drawing, painting, sewing, playing games (both video and board), collecting comics, and working on chronicallizing Scrooge McDuck's and Darkwing Duck’s entire history, according to various writers and artists worldwide...and everything I do, I do with the help of the 3J's, we are kind of like a gang. I collect books as well and currently own over 7,000 books (not comic books).
I remain thouraly obsessed with my hero, my idol ~~~Scrooge McDuck. I am an Uncle Scrooge historian. I'm a collector---and you guessed it ~~I collect anything and everything about Uncle Scrooge! My goal is to include one copy of each of every comic book to ever feature my hero Scrooge McDuck.
I’m a fan of everything Disney, comic books, cartoons, movies, ducks, mice, pooh, villains, princesses, you name it, if it’s Disney, 9 times out of 10 I like it! But trying to collect everything Disney makes would be like getting caught in a bottomless vacuum of a black hole. Of everything Disney the thing I love the most are the Ducks, and so I let my collecting run wild, collecting every Duck item I can find.
EK's top 10 fave ducks...
1) Scrooge McDuck 2) NegaDuck 3) Flintheart Glomgold 4) Drake Mallard a.k.a. Darkwing Duck 5) SteeleBeak (okay so he's rooster not a duck--sue me) 6) Glittering Goldie 7) Prof. Ludwig Von Drake 8) Donald Duck 9) Gladstone Gander 10) Daisy Duck
EK’s top 10 fave non-ducks:
1) Herbie the Lovebug 2) Alonzo Hawk 3) Jack Sparrow 4) Mad Hatter 5) Cheshire Cat 6) Belle 7) Jafar 8) Capt. Hook 9) Tiger 10) Creuella de Vil
I grew up with my dad's and grandma's comic book collections all around me, so I don't remember the first comic book I ever read, most likely it was a Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger, or Gean Autry as I remember reading them the most, I do remember the first comic book that was mine, and not from my dad's/grandma's collection...
We used to eat a restaurant 3 or 4 nights a week, the owner was a friend of my dad's. He was also a comic book collector, and instead of magazines to read, he had comic books on the tables---all Disney, mostly Uncle Scrooge. I was 3 when he gave me "The Dragon's Amulet", my first US comic book, and after that it became a habit to always leave the restaurant with another issue....I found out years later, after he'd died, that all the kids in town used to eat at his restaurant, because he was always giving away comic books to them.
My Duck comic collection, stays here in my room, and is stacked (laying flat, not on end), in boxes; the stack is over 6 feet tall, 3 rows deep, and I think 5 rows wide....I started collecting in 1978.

Hi! My name is Michelle. I just turned 26--but I am still a kid at heart! I love Disney movies! Thats where we are going to go on our honeymoon (when we finally get married)
Hi! My name is Cathe & I'm a Disneyholic. I love all things Disney. My husband and I live about 8 miles from DLR and have been annual passholders for years. I am not a native Californian so my earliest memories of Disney are of sitting in front of the TV on Sunday evenings watching Disney's Wonderful World of Color. Today I get just as big a thrill walking through the gates of Disneyland as I did the first time. I'm very happy to have found this group. I have many pictures to share, if I could figure out how as you can tell from my earlier attempt.
I'm new here! I've grown up all my life with Disney Movies! No matter how old or how young, you can enjoy the movies forever! They're classics!

i love disney.......my highschool marching band has, for the past few years, been invited to play at Disneyland, in february we have been invited to play in front of the train station. how exciting, because only college bands and professionals play there.
it's is such an honor.....especially for a disney lover like me.
I spend most of my time here on Care2 trying to promote the use of plants to help people and the environment. I joined this group because of my love for Disney. Like many I grew up watching the movies and cartoons, but I really became a fan of Disney when a friend offered my a position working with disabled adults. The job was to operate a branch office in Orlando, Florida and it was my responsibility to help organize and lead vacation tours for disabled adults; this meant going to the Disney theme parks on a very regular basis (sometimes three or four times a week). The more I went to Disney World the more I liked Disney, but I must admit it is possible to go on the "Its a Small World" ride one to many times. I tried to absorb all the Disney Magic I could and I will always be thankful to Disney because some how his magic rubbed off on me and it will always be a part of the work I do. Thank you for having this group I look forward to reading the threads and sharing the magic of the Wonderful World of Disney. Botanically Yours, Ted
Welcome Ted. What a great job you have. I would love to have a job like that, working with people and new things happening everyday, I think it's wonderful what you do and I'm glad you joined this group, it's been a while since we posted something so I hope to get some new posts soon =)
Hey i'm Steph. 21 and from Cheshire, England. I love Disney, makes me feel like a kid again. And am devastated that they have closed the Disney store in the next town!!!!
I'm Deepshikha, and I've just turned 15. I love Disney. I grew up watching Mickey cartoons and I am still growing up watching them. I love all the Disney movies and keep on watching them whenever I get the chance. People say that I am too old to watch cartoons, and I always tell them that there's no age limit in watching them. I am glad to find like-minded people.
Been a long time fan of Walt Disney and Disneyland since the late fifties. (Yes from the last century). Watched a lot of the earlier films and cartoons. Still keep up with the present happenings within the Kingdom.
Will be adding posts and discussions in the near future. Regards
