hi!
Just droping by to say hello. I was join this group long before but first time i am writting to the group as from last six months or so I was unwell. Looking forward to known you all better
Thank you Kristi for the invitatation! Someone read a lot about the beginnings of Coffee. That made for a nice wake me upper. But where's my tea? I don't want to get hyper since it's 2:30am now.
Seriously though, my name is June and I'm from Manchester,NH.
Barb, to the group!! We're so glad that you've joined us here! I'm glad you like what you've discovered on Care2 so far, and hope that once you get to know this group, you will count it among the reasons that you like being on the site.
Don't worry too much about figuring out how to post pictures or take quizzes, or do the more tricky stuff. If there are things you're trying to figure out how to do, please feel free to post, and I will do my best to get you an answer and help out. If I can't, hopefully someone else from the group will be able to give you some tips or help you figure it out.
I grew up on computers (or at least, I spent half my time growing up on computers - they weren't around until I was about 10 ), but there are many people here more knowledgable than I am when it comes to tech stuff.
Well I've been on Care 2 for a bit yet new to this group
HI everyone, I'll say off the bat I know little on the computer and well do not look for photos or fun stuff YET, I just have not had time to learn YET
I'm super busy with some community charity work and Quilts4cancer.com and yes I love to sew and quilt simple things
It's good to know that you're back out in the world working! I'm sure you're making wonderful contributions to the world offline, just as you do online every day. Please don't feel any pressure to be here all the time. I don't think that any of us are here as often as we'd like to be. Everyone has lives and worlds outside their computers (for the most part, though someday I'd like to work from home via the computer ) that keep us busy. Just be here as often as you want and are able. So glad to have you as a member.

How was the whole basic training experience? Are you glad that it's over? I've so missed talking to you. Can't wait to see you start posting. And no, you don't have to sign back in. We haven't forgotten you!

Hubby just called to remind me I am older then dirt....well, at least 49yrs 364 days older that dirt. I mean, first he just says Happy Autumn Equinox and half century of breathing. I just say, now where is my PRESENT and then he just laughs, hysterically....we got no money in bank for that....trivial stuff you know. Oh well. Cest'la vie.(forgive me if I didn't spell that right!).
to Jacki and Julie! Thanks so much for joining our wonderful group. Hope you find a lot of love, friendship and support amongst the great folks here at A Common Thread.
Please feel free to kick back with a cup of coffee or tea and browse through the threads. Read what you want, add if you like, and just take some time for yourself in the warm and wonderful place we have created!
Julie - Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out the group, and thanks again for the recommendations at my "What do you do with blue?" thread!
I am an artist (struggling is an understatement), just a day away from 50 years of age....don't feel over 32. I love dogs in the catagory of basset hounds, pugs, dachsunds and any dog with a whacky attitude.
Please look up my profile for my sites and I will love to talk with you here or there.
Liam, Terry and Bert! to the group! Sorry I wasn't here to welcome you sooner; there's been a lot going on for me this week and last night, our phone lines were down, so no Internet.
But it is back up and running today, and I wanted to welcome you to the group - finally - say thank you for joining, and hope that you have a wonderful time here!

When your down and out just think of the good times in your life and all the good people in the world that will help you.Like the good people on this site. They are kind and understanding.I know i would try to help you if you got any problems and thank God we got people like Stacy that would put your problems ahead of her own
not sure what to say right now, im thinking too hard. oh yeah i was invited here by the Lovely Lady stacy and i thank her. hmmm, so i can talk about anything eh i have quite a few things i could talk about.
I would like to start off by saying you all have created such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere here. I feel better than I did just 10 min. ago before I logged in. What a wonderful place. Thank you for letting me be a part of it.
I guess I should tell you all a little about myself. I am 29 yrs. old. I live in Mesa, AZ. I am married and I have four children. Two girls, two boys. Ages 13, 10, 9, and 22mos.
I run a seasonal retail business. I sell fireworks for the Fourth of July and New Years and do both Halloween and Christmas stores.
I have a lot of stuff going on with my kids and custody stuff and have now become actively involved in Family Rights. I hope to meet others with the same determination to bring this country back around to remembering the fundamental rights it was founded on....Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit aof Happiness.
to the group! And thank you for sharing so much with us. I love your theories about life, and how little it would ake to make a difference, and how big that little gesture might be to someone else. If only more people felt and thought this way. I would love to comment more on the wonderful intro you've put down for yourself here, but it is past 3 in the morning here, and I have to be at work at 12pm, so it will have to wait. I am definitely interested to hear more from you, and I am so glad that you - and your daughter, obviously - really like this group. Thanks so much for your support and kind words.

Hello Amy, Just got back from having coffee, and am ready to cool down in this wonderful air-condition! Looking at the picture of your thread, makes me want to go in the corner of my bedroom and get my sewing machine running!
Now that I'm retired, I have pushed many projects aside, with the weather... hot as it is, it's nice to just don't think of work!
My daughter, Michelle sent me to this site and I find it being a great place to relax and put my mindat ease. I was visiting my neighbor yesterday and I felt I somewhat made her day. I told her if there was anything she wanted me to do to help in anyway, to call me. I got a call and she asked me if I could take her to therapy, and, of course I said yes! She is in her 80's and have stressed herself quite a bit in the last few months. her sister had a stroke and then a few days after that her son had to have his one lung removed! ;-( The doctor said that was all related to stress. Stress is related to most of our problems today. It's something we (most) have to deal with in this society today.
This is where friends and family comes in...
How does anyone deal with stress without someone near and close to their hearts. When I see a child, an elderly person, an animal abused in any way, it breaks my heart. If... just once, someone could visit the animal shelters, and look into the eyes of some of those precious animals, and, just sit with them and talk to them and stroke their soft fur, you would want to take one home with you!
If... just once, someone could visit an elderly in a home near you, what a wonderful feeling that would be, what a wonderful feeling that would make for him/her. I remember visiting my mom in a home, and a lady that was next to my mom, would light up with energy just seeing that mom had company. Everytime, she had a smile from ear to ear! Now... that makes me happy!
If... just once, someone could look into the eye's of a child, and hope for that child, to feel safe, and never be touched by abuse of any kind. Wouldn't it be nice if a child could grow up, away from the fears and hate, abuse, and being all alone. I was one of the lucky ones, that had a mom and dad, (even though dad was a week-end drunk, but he was there for us)and to be loved and not left all alone in fear and hate. My mom was always there and I pray for all children to be blessed with that great feeling of love surrounded by them! Don't get me wrong... I know of mom's/dad's that had raised their children singled handed. Sometimes, in a relationship... where there is always fighting and hate between the parents, it's better to be apart, it hurts everyone around, including the children. ;-(
Ok... this one member is done!!! I feel good already!!
