Anyone out there? January 11, 2007 11:39 AM

I am a mother that has willingly given up custody to my son about 2.5 years ago. It's been a struggle since then to see him, get his father to at least talk to me instead of accusing, blaming and screaming at me. I just want to be in my son's life. I see there are only two people in this group, but no discussions, no files, no anything. Is there really someone here or is this just a dead group???  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
For the comment in 2007 regarding visitation February 08, 2010 8:32 PM

I think it is a shame that you have to bage to see our child. I think of how your child must miss you and want to hear from you. The father has no right to judge you or yell at you. I hope he does not show that side of himself in front of your child. You have rights and you need to fight for your visitation for both yours and your childs sake. If he harasses you again when you call, report the harassment to the police and family court.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
Someone Please Help!! April 07, 2010 6:52 AM

If anyone would have ever told me that as a mother, I would be without my son, I just wouldn't have believed it. I sit here today not having talked to my son since March 09 and haven't seen him since December 2008. My son's father was granted temporary custody back in Feb. 07 due to me being misdiagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. When my son came to visit in July 08, he reported that his father had physically abused him. I went to CPS, followed the protocal and in this process it came out that his father had also sexually abused him. There's just too much for me to put everything in this post. To sum it all up, CPS, Law Enforcement and the judicial system hasn't helped me or my son. I refuse to believe that I just have to "accept" things as they are. I know there is someone out there that can help me, I just haven't found them. But, unfortunately until I do, my "Sonshine" is gone and life is really dark.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
