Hi, I hope this is the good way to introduce. I'm happy to have found this group. As owner of a small animalshelter I have seen enough abuse over the years in real life and on the internet. I can't even watch the pics and vids anymore because they make me feel so sick and sad. But 1 thing I would like to say; Please, if you love animals, consider eating less meat or maybe becoming a vegan or vegetarian because the cruelty and ongoing suffering and living hell of animals in the modern mass-industry is almost beyond imagination.

Only in my small country Belgium;

-350 MILLION animals are killed each year,

-17 little male chickens are shredded ALIVE or killed each SECOND

- 500.000 pigs in my country alone WON'T make it to the slaughterhouse due to neglect, abuse, sickness and suffering. IMAGINE what's the number of also horses, ducks, chickens, cows, goats and other animals each year in my country. IMAGINE IT THEN WORLDWIDE!

So please, as an animallover, take this last step!

At least eat biological but better eat less or no meat. Become vegetarian or vegan and avoid diary products and any product which produces animalsuffering.

Hi I am fighting to end factory farming on and off line ,and have a pettion on Care2 pet. site. 'Stricter laws for humane factory farming.'  I am a vegan and have 22 pet chickens a zebra finch,and 6 large parrot fish. I have had more pets than I can remember and have always loved all animals and sea life. I also am for protecting and saving the planet.

I am glad to be a part of this group. I am a full-time activist for several causes, but primarily for Animals. I also post and re-post bulletins on MySpace and belong to several other sites, especially where petitions are involved. Our children are all out on their own so we are occupied with our animal family, consisting of 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 bird. Thanks for having me here.
