Send a card to a Soldier!
| Blue Label

I got this from Jean M. (thank you Jean )

If you go to this website:
and pick out a thank you card, Xerox will print it and mail it to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.  (You can't pick who gets it, but it will go to some member of the U.S. Armed Forces.)

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone to send one!  This is a great site!  Please consider sending a card.  It is FREE and only takes a few seconds.

Whether you are for or against the war, our troops over there need to know we are behind them.

This is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I bookmarked the site. If they will let me, I will send one everyday. Since I adopted my POW/MIA I have been doing alot of thinking about the soldiers serving today, but I had no way to help. This is a start anyway. Thanks!

Hi jean and how are you doing?
I am doing fine.
I am just here waiting with the rest of the guy's.
We are trying to figure out how much longer,President Bush shall keep us over here.
There is no telling how long we could be over here.
There are hundreds of dead bodies all over the roads,in destroyed buildings, and in cars and trucks along side the roads. There is death all around this place.
Enjoy your weekend. I shall talk with u later, your new friend eddie.

Hello everyone Please pray for this young man he is 19 years old and I can't imagine the toll this is taking on him and others like him If you would like to go to my page his Name is Eddie R. and I am sure he would love to get mail from more than just an old gal in Michigan. Blessings to you all

Another good website is www.anysoldier.com

There you can find lists of soldiers desiring a bit of mail for those troops who are perhaps not getting enough support from home.

*********SOLDIER REQUESTS WILL NOT BE FILLED THROUGH MYSPACE. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW*********

If you are interested in adopting a soldier please send (through regular EMAIL) your contact information (Name, Phone, Email, and Mailing Address) along with which type of adoption you would like to do to adoptasoldiernow@mac.com

Here are your options:
1. Regular Adoption: You can sign up to adopt a deployed soldier. By doing this you agree to send regular letters, cards for every holiday including birthdays and send a care package once a month.
2. Adopt a Wounded Soldier: There are many soldiers that have been injured and returned home. They are needing many different things since they have returned home. First and foremost they need money as well as letters and packages. We are working to build homes for the many wounded soldiers that are returning home that have no where to return to. We are currently building a home in Springhill, LA for SPC Kyle Burleson. We are currently raising funds to build a home for Bobby and Tommy Guinn who are currently in the Dallas VA Medical Center. They are from Overton Texas and in desparate need of a home.
3. Send Money: If you don't have time to give you are always welcome to send money that will be used to care for the soldiers.
4. Volunteer: We need various volunteers to help us adopt soldiers in your local communities. We also need help marketing, please tell all of your friends and family to help out. (If you would like a banner or letter to send out contact us and we will send this to you)
5. Letters: If you would just like to send letters or cards that is an option as well. We will be forming a Birthday Committee soon so that soldiers will receive several cards and letters on their birthday.

Thanks for your support!

I am reposting this because it still works and we need to keep in our minds to continue to help our soldiers however we can. So please keep sending these cards.
