I am loking for an Intentional Community in a mount/desert areia
I did find intresting ones
do you recommend anything
I joined an intentional community in 1971 when I walked into the Hare Krishna temple in Boston and they sat me down and shaved my head and showed me how to put on tilak (the mud on my nose). Now I see that it was a question of zero risk and highest possible return. At the time my friends and family were horrified. Back in '06, however, I went to my forty year high school reunion. It then became abundantly clear to me that I'd made the best possible decision. A few classmates that I had the chance to catch up with had mostly very depressing and sad stories to tell about divorces and failed businesses. The fun exciting life I have now so far exceeds my wildest expectations that I'm continually amazed.
We really don't have a method. There's just four of us who all work together to provide what we need. Like a regular family but with less fighting.
We all share the same vision, of spreading Love and showing people a new way to live. We've had a member or two that has created conflict before, but thankfully they usually remove themselves. Any unconsciousness is addressed as a group, if your intention is to Awaken this is a blessing, those who aren't ready to face their fears leave quickly. It's intense, but it's been wonderful for my personal spiritual development.
Yes, two couples, no children. 1 dog 1 cat. We sell a friend's jewelry at the market and take odd jobs. One member offers spiritual counseling on a donations basis. I'm a photographer myself, though I rarely sell anything. We also brew colloidal silver and sell that to the local community. We'd love to get a greenhouse and start growing things, but so far we haven't had much luck with that. Right now we're mostly preparing for the winter, they can be rather harse here at 8000 ft.
I am married with 2 kids 3 and 6
