I would love this... Are ya there K? Hope you are still around. My Aussie Cattle dod 'Dave' was just flown here to our new home... Life is all good now. Dear God are they great. His personality cannot be matched.
Please let me know. Thanks. 'Hope you are doing well.
my heeler mix, quigley, is one of the most loving and intelligent dogs i have ever met. he's also a handful!!! (i think his other half is greyhound, so if you can imagine the drive and intelligence of the queensland with the speed of a greyhound, you have an idea of what we are trying to keep up with here!!)
maybe when we get this group going again, we can talk about how to keep the non-working dogs of these working breeds occupied and happy. as you all probably know, if you don't give these guys a job, they will create one for themselves, and it will probably be one your wish they wouldn't do. i hear alot about agility and flyball, but these activities require more money than many can afford.
Your topic is right on. Our's is non-working also and we just moved him out here to Texas (did I already say that above?) and for the moment he's staying at my parents. Thank God for this as we are now close to a more dog friendly home. Still, as you mentioned, he -and we- are going a tad crazy due to the confinement/ limits.
Regardless, the more ideas we share here the better for all of us. I too pray we get this group up and going again. Our dogs are the sweet, intelligent, creative and talented. Our's (Dave) does his best under the circumstances yet want's something more to do.
I will check here in Texas and back in our ole' home turf, Colorado on what ideas are out there. You too!
