FAQ - Getting Started with your new JOB August 31, 2005 6:13 PM

"I would like to hear a little more about this company. Can a person work part time and what is envolved to get started? Harold S. Self" Hi Harold, I only work part time with Krystal Planet myself, so you certainly can do that, and it was VERY easy to get started. What I am most happy about is that I don't have to buy any inventory before making a sale. It is a very relaxed company. Also, I don't risk my money! I'll give you a brief description of how things work- of course, the best way to understand the way the company works is to go to http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia - then click on "Distributor Info" up at the top of the page. From the web site: "The Energy Industry, the largest Industry in the world by far, is converting from dirty fossil fuels to clean renewable sources. This is a fact!. This will lead to the largest shift in wealth the world has ever seen!. How can a person profit from this?. Well, Krystal Planet is the only company that allows individuals to get involved. How? Krystal Planet is the FIRST company in the world to market clean power products & services using Referral Based Marketing (RBM) or any other form of Direct Selling. Being the 1st provides more opportunities to you. And, ours is the ONLY business opportunity in the energy industry using RBM." "KP is the 1st company to enter the energy industry using Referral Based Marketing (RBM). Never before has an individual, anywhere in the world, had the opportunity to start their own worldwide energy business. The 1st company to enter any new industry using RBM usually becomes one of the largest companies in that industry in short order. Examples: Primerica division of Citibank, Prepaid Legal, Excel, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef (bought by Warren Buffet). Krystal Planet is the 1st in the energy industry – we will quickly become a multi-billion-dollar company. YOU can become wealthy helping us get there and saving the planet at the same time." Basically, Harold, there are two ways to make money with the Krystal Planet. 1) Making commission off sales of clean energy / renewable energy credis and energy efficiency products. This is easy enough, I just printed out a couple copies of the catalog and give it out to people from time to time. 2) You can earn a small % commission off the sales of other energy consultants that you bring on to Krystal Planet. The only money I have to spend is $20 a month to cover my "Back Office" expenses - all of my online distributor tools + training and such. Though I have not yet, there are also lots of advertising tools - brochures and such - that I can buy at bulk prices. I'll probably get some of those materials if I plan on going to any farmer's markets or other sustainable living / organic type fairs. I have chosen to spend an additional $30 a month to purchase 1000 kilowatts of clean energy credits to offset the energy used at my house... that's so I can feel good about "walking the walk." Well, that's the brief run-down of Krystal Planet. Feel free to write me back with any more questions you might have! I'm eager to get more people involved. Best Wishes, Chad Blevins Krystal Planet, Energy Consultant ID No. 104007 Again - check out the web site at: http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia  [ send green star]

http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia "Tell me please, As a representative, are you encouraged to sign other people up and get them to sign other people up and so-forth? Also, do you get paid based on what someone you brought in produces?" Lisa, I would say that you are equally encouraged to sign up other representatives as you are you promote all the great energy saving products in the catalog. It's up to the you (the Energy Consultant) where you'd like to focus your time. The company has open telephone conferences several times a week for Energy Consultants (and potential consultants) to talk about what we've been up to, and where we've had successes. If you do sign up other Energy Consultants, then you receive a small commission based on what they bring into the company - as any general sales manager does. This can add up to a significant amount of money, as sales teams grow in size. I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you'd like me to fill you in on anything else! I'm glad to! Pyramid vs Referral Based Marketing September 01, 2005 10:01 AM

"I see the anser now is "Yes, this is a Paramid" I understand that it works very much like a few other companies that have since gone under. These paramid structures never last for very long. How is this one different? And I assume from the titile of the group, that discussin other conservation related companies is perfectly acceptable, right?" Lisa, I'll answer your questions here and I'll post another new topic with more info, because this brings up a very good point. I'll start by saying that, yes, this group is open to discussion of jobs at any conservation, energy efficiency, sustainable, green (etc.) related company. Now - I'm no marketing expert - but I'd say there are some substantive differences between Pyramid Scheme businesses, and legitimate companies using Referral Based Marketing. Krystal Planet is more like Mary Kay - a company that's been around for years and years. Just with a different product - and no "parties." Now, using a pyramidal hierachy with your sales team (or any business team) is common throughout the business world. Here's a blurb I found on the difference between pyramid 'schemes' and Krystal Planet: "Is this a pyramid? What matters is not the structure (pyramids are everywhere), but whether the pyramid is legal or not. There are many resources to determine whether a company operates an illegal ‘scheme’ or has a legitimate business. General Motors, the government, the church, and virtually everything else operates in a pyramid structure. Nearly every large organization is structured like a pyramid, since the pyramid is mathematically, socially, and architecturally the strongest structure known to man. GM has one Chairman/CEO, some Board members, some executive management, a few more in upper management, a few more than that in middle management, and so on, down to the workers on the line. Governments have one President, a Cabinet, their senior staff, junior staffers, and soon. The Catholic church has one pope, then Cardinals, Bishops, etc. What to look for is whether the company actually sells products & services, or if they are only marketing ‘opportunity.’ An illegal scheme may be selling the chance to earn a large payday if you recruit enough others to ‘join’ the organization – but no products or services have been sold to the end user. Krystal Planet is not an illegal pyramid, as our focus is on marketing and selling TRCs (or green tags) and a variety of energy savings and renewable energy products. Each Green Tag has its own serial number (they expire in 18 months from the time they are produced) and cannot be sold more than once. Krystal Planet uses an independent auditing firm to issue an audit report at the end of every calendar year tracking the serial number of every kilowatt hour worth of Green Tags sold by Krystal Planet. This audit statement is generally available by March 31st of the following calendar year and is available upon request. Furthermore, every KP customer receives a monthly statement (electronic or in paper) showing the serial number, kilowatt hours, and source of every Green Tag product sold. Finally, Krystal Planet guarantees in writing (in the terms and conditions) that every FutureWind Green Tag sold will result in 1,000 kWh of ‘green energy’ injected into the national transmission grid, either at one of Krystal Planet’s wind energy facilities or that of a 3rd party wind energy facility if for any reason Krystal Planet does not build enough wind energy facilities quickly enough (see the FutureWind brochure for more information)." Again, Lisa, I hope this helps! Let me know if I can do anything else! All the Best, Chad http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia  [ send green star]

not a pyramid scheme September 01, 2005 10:36 AM

Lisa, I put this in another post, but here are a few more points I found to help put your mind at ease that Krystal Planet is not a pyramid scheme: "Commissions and bonuses are based on product sales, not recruiting other distributors. There are no ‘pyramiding’ bonuses available in the KP Compensation Plan." "Commissions are paid solely on products/services purchased or sold by the distributors or for sales to other distributors. There are no ‘recruitment bonuses.’" "Krystal Planet has had its compensation plan reviewed thoroughly by Referral-Based Marketing (RBM) and Direct sales attorneys. It passed all the tests of being legal in all 50 states. Krystal Planet engaged the law firms of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal LLP (http://www.sonnenschein.com based in Chicago, IL with offices in Kansas City) for securities legal services and the law firm of Lathrop & Gage LC (the oldest law firm in Missouri and one of the largest in the Kansas City area - http://www.lathropgage.com) for intellectual property legal services." Very poor November 03, 2005 12:42 AM

I am concerned about this as I have been sucked into several get rich quick things & have usually lost money. I am very poor, on SSI, a retired/disabled school teacher, & have no real resources to do anything with. As much as I would like to make money, I have no idea how to go about it or how much it would take for me to get involved. As it is now, I have to borrow money to survive. re: Veru Poor November 03, 2005 5:05 AM

Hi Moe, Firstly, I can absolutely relate to your story. My wife and I have, in the past, had to rely on money from relatives to buy food to eat. With one income from a state job, there's just not enough for mortgage, bills, gasoline, and food. Also, more than half of my extended family are teachers. So, I have absolute respect for the work you've done. Secondly, Krystal Planet isn't a "get-rich-quick" scheme of any kind. They just have some great energy-saving and renewable-energy products for sale. As I wrote in an earlier post (see above), you can get the rights to distribute these products, and you will make a very respectible commission off of what you sell. You do not have to buy any products. This is like starting your own business, and so any expense involved depends on how much you want to put into it. You may, for instance, want to pass out brochures to potential customers, et cetera. It takes only $20 to get your own web-page, where your customers can see and place orders, and where you can keep track of all of your orders placed and income generated. All that being said, I know that sometimes even an extra $20 can be tough to come by. So, Moe, I would give due consideration to whether or not you do feel like going into business for yourself is a good idea. It could very easily be a way for you to stop depending on Social Security checks. I'll be available, if you'd like to talk to me about this further. Feel free to contact me directly: gaia@krystal-planet.com. Best Wishes, Chad Blevins http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia Maureen S. Hi, I just went to the url and clicked on the Dealer's Enrollment... It automatically enrolls you in the Green Tag product, making your monthly payments $50.00 not $20.00! Hmmmm. It said something about "Do you want to forfeit any future earnings by deleting this item?" (slight paraphrasing) Which makes it rather hard to decide to give up a possibility of making more money while helping out the planet. I too have been snookered by so many so called 'work from home' things, a bit of skepticism is healthy and necessary after all! And I am not interested in simply selling information on the Web, too many people are already doing that. (those calling themselves "Gurus") Suppose I take the plunge and this is 'The One', the very thing I have been seeking. A means both to increase My earnings AND make a serious difference in the world! Anything whereby I free Myself from the tyranny of Wal-Mart and begin making atleast a $1,000.00 a month would be impressive to say the least. I appreciate your time, Eternally, Marie Hall  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Hi Marie June 17, 2006 2:08 PM

Hi Marie, I'll see if I can clarify this a bit. I think the most money made by Krystal Planet distributors is done by selling KP products at retail prices to customers (when we get them from KP at wholesale). Beyond this more standard business practice are the Green Tag sales. That program is about getting as many people involved in wind energy as possible (where part of the money goes into building large turbines). You make the investment, and you try to get others to do so as well. So, it is a program that the future earnings referred to are from the recurring income from the people you enroll and the percentages of sales made by other distributors that you enroll. Again, like I said, most KP distributors (I believe) are involved in the more standard wholesale/retail side of the KP product line-up.... (which includes solar panels, and wind turbines, and quite a few energy efficient / energy star products). Chad http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia " Hi, I just went to the url and clicked on the Dealer's Enrollment... - Chad, You are causing me concern. You did not answer her question of the "automatic $50.00 enrollment with forfeit". Why? -  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

 June 24, 2006 12:50 PM

I will clarify further: The $30 a month is only for participating in the green tag program. It is only $20 a month to maintain your KP web store, and have the ability to distribute products from the KP catalog. Chad http://www.krystal-planet.com/gaia Friday, 2:36 PM - Chad, You are causing me concern. You did not answer her question of the "automatic $50.00 enrollment with forfeit".  June 24, 2006 1:01 PM

Oh, and the $30/month green tag participation is only an option - but it IS SLECETED BY DEFAULT. So, if not interested, distributors can DE-SELECT that option when signing up.  [ send green star]

contact info June 24, 2006 1:04 PM

Since I'm just a distributor myself, and may not be answering everyone's questions to their satisfaction: Here's the contact info you can use to get information from KP. - After I asked Krystal Planet if they had installations of systems I could use as models for prospective customers; they no longer respond to my inquiries. I can only assume that this strategy is weakening as this venture turns more to a marketing dependency. I suggest people look for proven producers in this field and support justified cause. Thanks for your potential! -  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

PETITION Please help us by signing our petition regarding … “Working mothers and Citibank ethics.” Go to-- http://my.Care2.com/dcsbears Mother fired, 12 days before Christmas, while out ill on a workers comp pending case, with a doctors note, fired via UPS. Citibank broke California labor codes & some employees at the Carmel branch & Citibank attorneys have not been honest with the Department of Fair Employment & Housing, Department of US Labor, Wage & Hourly Division & their clients in Carmel. Citibank attorneys & employees submitted false information, the lies must stop. Force Citibank to tell the truth. Time for Corporate America Ethics Reform. Stop corporate bullying. Send me an email if you have any problems signing in at: ( Dcsbears@yahoo.com or Dcsbears@aol.com ) I strongly feel I was fired for putting my daughter first, please help us reach our goal of 100,000 signatures. What kind of manager fires you while ill? Thank you, Damari How did Citibank make the list of the: “BEST 100 companies for Working mothers”????????? Court date is coming up on June 14,2007 All signatures will be forwarded to Senator Barbara Boxer Why does Citibank lie to clients about firing me? They have told their clients that I left to work for my husband, that I am on vacation, that I don’t work Saturdays, anything but the truth. They even lied about me calling in sick yet my time card proves I was there and my time card was approved by the supervisor. Please help us, how does the little guy fight Corrupt American Companies? Working mother and Citibank ethics Working mother at Citibank, how did they make the list of the “Best 100 Companies for Working Mothers? Fired for putting daughters needs first? Fired via UPS, 12 days before Christmas? Please forward to anyone that could help us, thanks. Keep this story going so we can get help. Tell a friend to tell a friend, how else can the little guy fight corporate America? Please help us if you can along with the Senator, this letter was sent to the Senator: To: Senator Barbara Boxer, Feb. 18, 2007 Also: Jason J Chan, 1700 Montgomery Street, Suite 240 San Francisco, Ca.94111 Regarding your letter of February 5, 2007, thank you. You state that you will submit a formal inquiry to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and that this may take up to 4-5 weeks. In that case I have taken the liberty to put together this binder as to hopefully speed up the process or maybe just so you have it to review. In this binder I can show the Jeff Ursino was not fair and equal to all the employees and although others violated policy I am the only one he fired. Citibank did not follow their own policy much less that of the Ca. Labor laws and codes. I don’t believe that Citibank has been honest with their clients as well as the DFEH and DOL. Citibank did not submit a new statement regarding 11/15/05 to the DFEH and seem to stand behind their “ bad Information”. I worked the day they state I called in and supposedly stated that I would be out the rest of the week, not true. What else is branch 915, Jeff Ursino, Kathleen Munoz and their corporate attorneys in New York willing to lie about? Please help us get to the truth about why Jeff really fired me. Why does Citibank stand behind Jeff and his lies and much more? The teller that left about $10,000.00 out is still working their and to my knowledge was not written up and yet this was worse for the bank than me just wanting to care for my daughter and having my doctor call in for me. Jeff made error after error with the write ups and the firing procedure of Citibank. Why did Jeff Ursino and Citibank feel I wasn’t worthy of an exit interview? Why was I fired at home and not at my place of work? Why was I not given a verbal or informal warning as is Citibank policy? Please go through or have someone review my notes and proof of their dishonesty. Please help us and all those wrongfully terminated by corporate America.. It is time for Corporate America ethics Reform. Senator Boxer if I had been a bad employee I would have just walked away but I wasn’t. I have letters from clients that truly appreciated me and my work and even Citibank has acknowledge that I was great for the Carmel branch, so why fire me and throw me out like yesterdays trash? Because Jeff Ursino just didn’t like me and was out to fire me from the moment he threaten me with job abandonment before I had ever missed a Saturday. Why? As I told Dr. Lowell and all the other doctors I have seen, “this just doesn’t make sense!” I have spent the past 14 months fighting for my rights, please help me and my family, we need more moms like me that want to be their for their children and teenagers are children. I look forward to hearing from you, thank you so very much for writing back or at least someone from your office, thanks Jason J. Chan. Green energy and green consultants needed August 22, 2008 8:28 AM

The easiest way to get green power is to ask for it and get it from your energy provider. This saves a huge amount of money, time and energy compared to buying and installing wind towers, solar panels, etc. The best way to get green power is to deregulate your state in terms of energy. Why not give consumers the choice, just like long distance service? Why force people to stay with an expensive, backwards, stodgy, monopoly that is not providing good customer service and is not buying or installing solar or wind power, much less providing it to customers who ask for it? That is the case with my utility company. If your provider does not offer the green power option, switch providers. You can do this if you live a deregulated energy state such as Texas or New York.. and more are coming soon. 22 states are in the process of deregulating. Check it out... www.electricityratescompared.info The above link is one place to check to compare many different companies and electricity rates in deregulated states. There is a huge demand and need for Green Energy Consultants nationwide.. in all 50 states. Help people sign up for green power.. If interested, contact me for more details.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
