Karma Experiment 2007
| Hot!
I have been asked if we can have another Karma Experiment. Great idea.

The last one went really well, and was even reported on on other sites, so perhaps it is time we started a new one.

Here is how it works.

It is an experiment to demonstrate that 'what goes around comes around', and 'the good you do comes back to you', which is guaranteed, so you can't lose.

12 people can take part, and you reserve your place by posting a short message here.

Each person involved takes the value of FIVE British Pounds Sterling and goes and finds someone you feel really needs it and gives them the fiver, (or equal value), no strings attached. It is a gift.

Then you keep an close eye on what happens in your life for say 65 days this time, and if nothing happens which somehow returns five pounds in value to you in that 65 days, perhaps when you need it, then:
I will refund your fiver in full, no questions asked.

(Your refund can go into a paypal account, or to a shop address or post office you choose, like the book travels. No personal details please.)

I'm sure everyone would love to hear about your Karam adventure from the start and as the previous experiment showed it does come back in many ways, we would love to hear about that too.

There is nothing in the laws of Karma which says things come back in 65 days I know, but we need to set a time for this little experiment to be possible.

No one has to take part, and for 12 people only, it is guaranteed. That is an amount I can afford to sponsor and makes the guarantee real. You have to be signed up here to qualify for a refund and your 65 days starts from the date of your posting.

Think I've remembered it all. This is really fun. Hope you all enjoy the experience.

Any questions?

Count me in.

Question, shouldn't your 65 days start from when you report giving the money away?
Excellent, you are the first participant Judy, and yes you are right, the time starts on the day you report giving the fiver. 11 to go.

Hi! everyone

Nice to be here

interesting

so how many US dollar is 5 sterling

Five UK Pounds works out at Nine US Dollars and 70 cents. I'll cover Ten Dollars to make it easy for you people across the pond. This is Great!

Green stars to all of you.
By my count we have room for one more, but that is no reason why the rest of us have to wait. From the first Karma experiment we found that the opportunity usually comes to you. The thing is to be ready. Keep your fiver (or US tenner or 7.30 Euro or check here) with you, and be ready to help. Be sensible, no need to take risks. If something obvious does not come up at first, don't worry, it will, and it will be just the right thing. Have fun! , and don't forget to report back please.
Hi everyone! Count me in, in the Karma experiment. I had a lot of fun last time I did it.

This Karma Train is full!
So $10 in US?
$10 US That's right. Remember this is given to someone who needs it, not sent to anyone connected with this site, and if you do not see a return in your life you would value as equal or more than what you gave, (within 65 days of donating it,) then I will refund your Karmic investment in full. This is done for fun and the experience and no one is obliged to play. You'll see from the reports that last time was wondeful and this is well worth repeating. Great to see you all joining in.
wooo...I missed the train?

...that's O.K.      ...because I believe in Karma... & I thoroughly enjoyed your last little "karma experiment" ...  I think I'll play along, too, even without qualifying for Tony's guaranteed refund... as I believe the power of the life force energy cycles will come back to me regardless, whether or not, Tony's includes me in his Karma train dozen...

Kay - Thanks for giving me the credit, but its not deserved. I did not come up with this idea, I’m just a participant one of the first 12 to jump in

Here in the U.S.A. it's called "Paying It Forward". Matter-of-fact = the Movie "Pay It Forward" was on TV last nite.

Actually, I've been doing that same thing for the past 3 months, not with just $$, but also for others in need of whatever may be lacking for themselves or their family.

Hadn't done it for Karma, just wanted to lend a hand.

Glad you have your dozen!! Congratulations ALL!!

Paying it forward. Saw the movie. I usually try and help when people ask, but setting out with money ready is even more fun. And the funny thing is, it really does come back. They do science experiments in school. Why not Karma experiments?

the nicest thing to do is send me around I am for peace

send me around as Mr peace see how many who will know me as in my profile Money is the best thing but I feel giving food is better for a staving family who is just making it
11 years ago
Food is good. It can be anything to the value for this experiment. Hello Mr Peace.
what goes around...comes around...

...well, after I decided to participate in this little karma experiment & posted my intentions here...  I decided to put my $10 into a "collection jar" at a local business, funds being collected to assist a family who recently lost their home to fire & on top of that the man was seriously injured shortly after the home burned down (he's still hospitalized in ICU)....    so I contributed to a family in distress...

...Friday while driving to work, a belt on my auto's engine broke & I "limped" the auto to the job anyway...  the fellows at work called a parts store, secured the replacement belt  for me, but were unable to properly install the belt... they next consulted with a mechanic who then came to the lumberyard, installed the belt, found some other damages & repaired that part, too.... & to top that off, other than the cost of the parts, they wouldn't take any payment from me...

....so now, I'm informed this mechanical service would have cost over $200 had I taken my vehicle to a garage, not to mention about $50 for a tow truck to transport the vehicle to the garage....

....guess I'd better "pay it forward"....

great story Kay – thanks so much for sharing it with the group…. The karma-train is already working its magic
11 years ago
Kay, how beautiful and inspiring.

I have a report. Went into town to replace an electic heater that broke down last night, and I saw this man in a doorway covered by a blanket and no shoes. I thought about the tiny bit of cold we felt last night when the heater broke down in my room. I said to him, "It is a hard world". He said "oh its not so bad, the sun is shining". I gave him the money I'd been saving for this, and said he should get some breakfast. He smiled and said, "God Bless you'. I already have a lot back from this one, if you know what I mean.

Wonderful Jenny the Karma Experiment 2007 is shaping up to be every bit the event as last years

Hello! Just checking in and giving an update on the Karma Experiment!  What a great idea this is.  I donated $10 to help a dog at an animal shelter with a hurt foot.    I tried to explain this expirement to my boyfriend after I used his paypal account to donate the funds.  He is convinced I am getting scammed.   I obviously disagree. I tried to tell him that the expirement and the place I gave the money to are not connected.  He has been laughing, lovingly of course, at me and telling me that recently he has noticed I "want to save everyone and everything in the world" from bad situations and harmful things.  Hey, fine with me!  Not a bad attitude in my opinion!  I am hoping my karma comes back to me tomorrow, and I will get home and dicover my cat has cleaned out her own litterbox. JUST KIDDING! Thanks to all for this experiment.  *peasce*

I agree, it’s a great attitude; if everyone shared it we would be set

Thanks for the update, please keep us posted and say hay to your boyfriend.

my experiment report

Hi everyone

I have recently come back from a seminar in Bristol. Whilst there I managed not only to give the fiver away but got it back the same day!!

Briefly this seminar is attended by all different age groups, from 17 to 85 years old. The person I gave it away to is a young student, who although he was there with his mum,nan and sister had run out of money two days before the seminar finished. He didnt ask to borrow any money the subject, that he was broke,  just came up during the conversation we were having, and I just felt this was the "eurkea" moment to take my part in this experiment. I did explain it was all about karma and he truly believes so......I felt I had made a good choice. Later that evening I decided to "scratch" the scratchcard I had bought earlier in the day.....and you've guessed it.......I won five pounds.

That’s great Brenda… how perfect to get it back in the same day! On the last experiment I had a similar experience with a scratch card (funny thing is I have not bought on before or since)!

What was the seminar about?

On the last experiment I had a similar experience with a scratch card (funny thing is I have not bought on before or since)!

oh err Tony     I buy scratchcards on a regular basis but I actually bought this one in Bristol, and instead of leaving it in my purse for days which I usually do was "drawn" to scratch it shortly after I had given the fiver away.

Will get back later today and explain what the seminar was all about.......suffice to say after being spoilt rotten in a hotel all week......I have come down to earth with a big bump and have to go and get the grocery shopping now.   hehehehe

Can I count myself in...??

Hey all,

This really is a funny topic... Well, it's funny for me, because last Monday (23th of April 2007) I gave a person in need 5 euro, no strings attached. Okay, so it's no 5 pound sterling, but... It's the same idea I guess.

Should this do something for my Karma? I don't know, and it's not important to me. He needed the cash, and I could offer to give him...

Well, I'll be keeping my eyes open on this topic.

Peace & Love!

Marc

Hi Tony

Now I am going to attempt to explain what the seminar(s) I go to are all about. Basically I guess you could say they are workshops for developing psychics/mediums, where we sit and listen to a tutor teaching us the correct procedure(s) and  then we   attempt to practice our "skills", but sitting here thinking its much much more than that. I orginally met the organisers of these seminars  via  a website I (now) visit daily. I went there to find like minded people and in the three and a half years there have met some incredible people, both online and off. I will try to explain why I say its much much more than just attending the classes, to me as a developing medium (its a lifelong thing in my book) although obviously being able to give readings to help those in distress after they have lost a loved one is of the upmost importance, I personally believe we can work for spirit in so many others   ways too.  How we treat others for a start, even if its just smiling and saying good morning to someone you sense hasnt spoken to another soul for a few days, and seeing their spirit rise, in my opinion, can do so much.I am certainly not holier-than-thou, far from it but I do try my best to go out each day and do the best I can for others. You know the saying "you cant just talk the talk - walk the walk" I do try to abide by that. The organisers of these seminars, and others, have for example encouraged people who wouldnt normally even leave their house,  or home town, to  attend    and with the love and support of all who go, these people end up really enjoying themselves, and making new friendships, which in turn helps them to build up their self-confidence which leads them to  puts a new persepective on their lives in what they can achieve, and they do realise that the world is indeed their oyster

So for me its about the love and the friendships plus of course the classes, by the way I am a pretty good student, I only played truant once this time.

Take care

Brenda

I have a great bekief in Karma, and this experiment worked and didn't. My $10.00 US returned to me a great friend and $4900.00 from the fisrt job that I have had in 15 years.

It also caused me a great blow. I have resently learned that I have 3 Tumors on my Brain and am going to have surgery to remove them, but alas, I still have a TRUE FRIEND, and one who will always be there in my time of need.

So, thank you for allowing me to join this experiment.

Karma does work.

well, i guess i missd the boat. i only loggd in 2day after a short absence, ive been busy reading "UR" which i downloaded as an e-book, was up till 4am reading. i feel a shift in perception already & i havnt gotten 2 the end yet! i truly believe in karma, its wots held me together. i recently came into a few thousand pounds & most of it went to friends / family in need but i had enough left to move home. i hav had many times when ive needed £5-00 or sometimes more & it comes back to me in the strangest of ways - once i found £5-00 in a book i was reading - i really don't believe i would hav used a fiver as a bookmark!!! thank-u cosmos! i'd dearly love to take part in your experiment but guess i'll hav 2 wait till next time. ive enjoyed reading all your inspiring events u r all wonderful. love & light, becks
11 years ago
Great you are reading UR. I know you'll enjoy it.

Someone asked, what is Karma. I think it is realizing that everything you do has an effect on you, but some things don't show their effect rightaway. Does that make sense?

As I personally understand it.......karma means "what goes around comes around" ie. if you   treat other people with love and respect and want the best for them, that is returned in kind. If you genuinely want to help people in their time of need, even if  it is   only to the extent of listening to their problems, again I feel, others will be there in your time of need.

However, sadly I have to say that there will always be some who "choose" to be "victims" so they only want you to listen to their "woes", and I have learnt the hard way not to be a "doormat" for people like this, as they have to,again in my opinon, learn to change to help themselves first, and to change their approach on life, therefore changing their  karma.......

Hope this makes sense.

Brenda

P.S. Any updates on the Karma experiment here?

To me, karma is when you do bad, good happens to you. I would try to do the right thing only for bad fortune to happen. I can live without it!!

This is totally true

My sister stole $6000 dollars from me and then without me saying anything about this to anyone I then recieved $6000 bonus through another source of which I absolutely was not expecting it to come from.

This was.. 6 months later.

Things like this happen to me very often. If I lose something I end up recieving it back in another form.

When I give people money or my belongings when they need them too I always end up reciving more back but not necessarily from that person, usually through an unexpected source.

I always lend and give people different things in life because I know that when I am in need the Universe provides me things and always does.

I don't know alot about Karma however definately it is true whenever you lose something if it is truly meant for you you do recieve it back and when you give the Universe always fills your cup back up so to speak.

As for my sister, 6 months later she ended up living with a man who stole ALL her belongings.

So Karma really is very real.

hi
hi. I really feel like i have to say this.  I dont believe karma is what is going on. I believe it is God repaying those who do good for others. It says over and over in the bible that if you give away then God will bless you, and with even more. I dont mean to bash anyone's beliefs or be rude or anything. I just believe that thats what's happening. Thanks. Melissa.
Yeah Karma is what some people believe God does when he rewards us for doing good. No conflict here. Jesus called it "you reap what you sow" we sometimews call it, "what goes round comes around". Same thing.
Jesus

I agree.  That's why Jesus taught, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."  People here get all upset if you say anything good about an Eastern religion.  They forget that Jesus was visited by wise men from the East.  The philosophies are similar in many religions.

When are you scheduled for surgery?  Would we have time to try an experiment to heal your tumor through the love and energy of God before you have the surgery?
