well there hasnt been a post on here for months but im gona go for it anyway.
My favourite dives are wreck dives. not those with a bit o rusty junk littering the sea floor but ships still more or less intact.
The SS Breda near Oban, Scotland was my first ship dive. I still remember the thrill of "falling" over the ship rail and floating to the bottom. There was loads to see and cabins to explore.
Of course Marine life is fantastic too. especialy when the sun filters through, and fish swimming past.....I felt privileged to be there at that given moment
Jeanluc.. yes I spouse to be underwater by this time as every year.. but not this year.. as I am implanting some of my teeth.. so, I am grounded till it done ..
For me diving is more about relaxation and de-stressing so I love any dive that has lots of small fish and especially when they congregatre around swim throughs so that you end up totally surrounded by them, i also adore soft corals with vivid colours its just all so dreamy!!!

I love night diving, especially when there's really great phosphorescence! Although I like deep dives, some of my best wildlife viewing has been at very shallow (15m or less) depths.

most exciting dive would be defined by what I can see more than by the type of dive..... anytimes I could see something new or different... now that would be a great day!

My favorite dive is about 35 to maybe 60ft... lots of light still and plenty of time to play!! I have 3 certs... I am an advanced diver and can go deep if I want to as well as having a wreck dive cert!! But I am all about the marine life when I dive and love to take pics with our digital camera!! I also love to dive in kelp forests... I am in California and my very favorite place to dive on my coast is Fort Bragg!! Lots of color and life and great vis!! I also preferr boat dives!!

Wow, Jon! Diving off canoes! Sounds cool, but it must have been difficult getting back on board after the dive!!! And Mohammad, night dives are definitely the ultimate in adventure diving... the different colours and life that can be seen...
Yes, Jeanluc, I love the fishes too and all those marine life, esp moray eels that swim out of their holes!!! One once frightened the divemaster who was with us as it (around 2 metres long) swam just below and behind him and he only noticed it when it swam pass him!
Personally, I love all these dives, AS LONG AS they are from a BOAT! I just hate beach dives as I was once caught in a low tide and had to try and get pass spiky sea urchins that seem to cover the entire shore!!!!
