I know
a little more
about letting
But why
do I keep
to turn back
wondering what
of result
have occurred
if I had this
at that critical point?
I do remember myself when
I made that
I didn't trust my own
I wanted someone else
to lead
the way.
But today
feels so different.
It's as if I've been burrowing
the importance
of all issues and
hours listening
to the opinions of all
and conclude
that another
does not know
what is
right for
(This morning when I made the loop in my
and headed into the
it was almost difficult
to see.
So when the Light is in front and
it isn't easy....
But the warmth
and glow
is so
I know
I will succeed.)

C'mon lets hug the world
Pour love into its core
In doing this one cannot miss
A whole new world to fore

C'mon let's hug the world
Love it from your heart
Then there will be for all to see
A joyous song at last

C'mon let's hug the world
Be a shining light
That glows as gold in being bold
That makes the globe so bright

C'mon let's hug the world
And all the life thereon
Turning night into the day
For all to smile upon

C'mon let's hug the world
In doing this we'll see
A happy home on which to roam
Here then doth end my plea

THE NEW MOON April 08, 2006 3:23 PM

What have you got in your knapsack fair,
White moon, bright moon, pearling the air,
Spinning your bobbins and fabrics free,
Fleet moon, sweet moon, in to the sea?
Turquoise and beryl and rings of gold,
Clear moon, dear moon, ne’er to be sold?
Roses and lilies, romance and love,
Still moon, chill moon, swinging above?
Slender your feet as a white birds throat,
High moon, shy moon, drifting your boat
Into the murk of the world awhile,
Slim moon, dim moon, adding a smile.
Tender your eyes as a maiden’s kiss,
Fine moon, wine moon, no one knows this,
Under the spell of your witchery,
Dream moon, cream moon, first he kissed me.

I live
my life in growing orbits which

move out over the things of the world.

Perhaps I can never achieve the last,

but that will be my attempt.

I am
circling around God,

around the ancient tower.

And I have been circling for a thousand years, and still I don't know if I

am a falcon, or a storm, or a great song.

Sky splashed with color,
At dusk.
Soft hues blend together
To create a silent painting.
A crescendo of golden rays
Sweep the sky.
Subtle expressions;
Fade behind the distant clouds.
Nature holds its breath,
As the sun,
Slowly and silently,
Slinks below the horizon,
And the sky is left;
Featureless and dark.

EASTER LILY March 26, 2006 12:33 PM

Roz - EASTER LILY 12:32 PM

Easter morn with lilies fair

Fills the church with perfumes rare,

As their clouds of incense rise,

Sweetest offerings to the skies.

Stately lilies pure and white

Flooding darkness with their light,

Bloom and sorrow drifts away,

On this holy hallow'd day.

Easter Lilies bending low

in the golden afterglow,

Bear a message from the sod

To the heavenly towers of God.

I so easily
and prepare to
the day ahead--
it's those sounds
of activity
that have already begun
to take
the birds
for my
there are
expectant buds
on trees
and then the new

hot weather
an amazing sheen,
a youthful green...
maybe it
a smile.
Color comes
such vivid
of those fragrances

And my arms

A tongue-in-cheek poem The rose is a rose
and was always a rose;
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
What will next prove a rose.
You, my love, are a rose,
but were always a rose.

Poem/Please Don't Lie~ March 23, 2006 7:58 PM

Please don't lie to me...

Please don't...

Why do you have to lie to me...

You know... I won't...

It isn't fun or interesting the things you say...

Cause your story changes every day...

Please don't lie to me...

I am tired of lies

I am tired of cheats

And I am tired of always having to be aware

That I cannot believe you..

Oh to have the innocence of childhood again..

And yet...that was taken from an early age..

Life's reality, took the front page...

Of the Newspaper in the file's of my mind...

And now I am wishing you wouldn't lie..

There, I said it... who thinks the same  as I...?

Enough!  Please don't lie.

Sister Spring Breeze

Close your tired eyes

Wait patiently

With your breath leading the way

Your most loyal friend

Sitting or lying

Matters not

But do relax

Let your body melt away

Abandon the rush hour

Roadway of your cluttered mind

Listen for the whispering

Soft syllables

Of Sister Spring Breeze

Feel the shine

Of Grandfather Sun

Warming your winter-worn face

The music makers

Have returned

The love-starved singers

Serenading lyrics

Through the trees

Pumping new blood

Into each reaching branch

Every twig finger

Wearing a ring of promise

Ready to soon burst forth

Anxiously awaiting

Opening day

They will unfold

Spread their veiled sings

And dance with

Sister Spring Breeze

Each and everyone

A Cinderella story

A flawless princess

Into an

Angel Crowned Queen.

Come celebrate

The newbirth circle

Of another month of May.

I noticed the cleanliness

a refreshed version
of my usual view.
And so very inviting--
as if Outdoors was speaking,
"I want to spend these moments with you."
Of course I agreed

the sparkling air
The chill
couldn't go

but not so
that my eyes
some of those

a positive

A joyous discovery,

a prayer that uses

formed deep

it begins

wanting to be absorbed into thought.

Eventually rising

up to the highest

of great expanse,

remarkably clear

yet undefined...

and, oh, so refined...

to rest

With humble heart appreciate
Release all which depreciates
Let go of strife and live a life
The one which reconciliates

Suffice to say that gratitude
Is surely the best attitude
Loving grace it sets the pace
No more then speaking platitudes

Treat all life with dignity
And brotherly humility
Value all while standing tall
We all have this ability

Peace and love's the way to live
Along with this receive and give
Walk beside no longer hide
Forget the past and let's forgive

WILLOWS WEEP January 18, 2006 1:31 PM

Shall I weep as the willows do?

With head bowed low…

Sway to and fro?

My steps in life like seeds were sown

The path is mine…

I claim my time!

A soul grows weary at end of day

When sadness leads…

Regretting deeds

If such were the case, all would be lost

To never remark…

Ah! song of lark!

What sorrow there be with a heavy heart

There’s so much there…

Floats in the air!

The pleasures in life can be our prize

With happy heart…

In life, take part!

No, do not weep as the willows do…

Look up! The whole world comes to you!

Like the androgynous angel
The perfect blending
Of male and female
Harmony and balance
Gentle beauty as light and love
Attained through one
Being Divinely One
Self-renewal continuous
No longer two to create one
But one being One eternally
Wisdom and understanding
Freely flying high as Truth
Crowned in glory
Cloaked in majesty
Omnipotent presence
The culmination of
The Great Work
The alchemical moment
Like the androgynous angel

SUNRISE/SUNSET - MARY HESSION January 08, 2006 11:00 AM

 [ send green star]
By Care2 member Silvia M January 07, 2006 4:27 AM

This is the first poem I wrote directly in English, instead of in my mother tongue (Spanish).

She knows my dream.
She used to tell me secrets
while I was asleep,
she used to light up the darkness
keeping sadness away from me.

She knows my wish.
She used to show me
magic colors behind the trees,
she used to blow the clouds
and dance with me in the wind.

She knows how I feel.
Since I was a baby
she floods my soul with peace,
taking my hand with love
promising never to leave.

Do you know who she is?
Look deeply in your heart
and there she will be.

As Others See Us

by Basil Dowling

With ‘No Admittance’ printed on my heart,

I go abroad, and play my public part;

And win applause—I have no cause to be

Ashamed of that strange self that other see.

But how can I reveal to you, and you,

My real self’s hidden and unlovely hue?

How can I undeceive, how end despair

Of this intolerable make-believe?

You must see with God’s eyes, or I must wear

My furtive failures stark upon my sleeve.

People need people

and friends need friends

And we all need love,

for a full life depends not

on vast riches or great

acclaim, not on success

or on worldly fame,

but just in knowing that

someone cares and holds us

close in their thoughts and prayers

or only the knowledge

that we're understood

makes everyday living

feel wonderfully good.

December Celebrations
Helen H. Moore

Every year at just this time,
In cold and dark December,
Families around the world
All gather to remember,
With presents and with parties,
With feasting and with fun,
Customs and tradtions
for people old and young.
So every year, around the world
In all lands and nations,
People of all ages love

December celebrations!

A POEM BY BARBARA MARTIN December 23, 2005 12:58 PM

While at the park
I sat on the bench
and allowed the season
to Fall
around me.
the colors are faded
and dull,
yet there is
such peacefulness
in this lull
of life cycle.
I spoke to the sun,
to be grateful for
with its warmth and light.
I listened
to the simplicity,
little sounds
that meant movement
both above
and below, on the ground.
I admired the leaves,
as they made their descent,
joining others
already lying
on the floor...
all the while trying
to fill up with the fragrance
of decay
an interesting, earthy smell
that blends
so well
with the day.
I talked to the trees,
those with bare branches
intrigued by the intricacy
now exposed...
and, by all of this,
I was enchanted.
Then I let myself live
in the unseen
It seemed
that I allowed
my energy
to lie
on the dusty,
burrowing into
the dormancy,
a view
of repose...
but I like to suppose
it was really the Infinite,
and settling
into me.
Love, Barbara

To my friends, and those I havent met yet
 glitter dove
To my friends I hold so dear,

And to those I haven't met yet, at this special time

of year

As we approach a new season in our lives

Many of us may call this time of year differently

But whatever you may celebrate

Even if you do not celebrate at all

I wish you all the love, generosity and caring that comes

at this time of year

May this year bring you more kindness and love, than you

ever known before

May this year be one in which you prosper and find good health

and you always find a hug waiting at your door

May you always remember to be kind to each other

And may we have the patience to try to understand and love all

May this be the year we all find forgiveness for all that was

ever wrong

Let us all try to wipe the slate clean and be able to move on

I wish you more love this new year, than you have ever known

May all your needs be met, and you all be safe from harm

And may the beautiful white dove travel and spread its peace

and love all over the world

May you find forgiveness and understanding just waiting

at your door

May you hear that inner voice that guides you clearer than you

ever have before

May you know in your heart who you really are, with

a feeling so sure

May you know what you are on this earth to do,

and always be able to answer the call

And when your inner doorbell rings, may you always be

able to answer it....

Give me all of the darkness
let the weight
of stillness
settle into me
and I will let go
and flow
into the center of peace.
Give me every inch of the sun
and I will run
through all of time
with a torch,
a light
to remind
and call
to warmth.
Give me the depth
of both sea
and sky,
allow me
to try
and see
to either end.
The quest sends
a message of challenge,
of never giving up,
a realization
of always having enough.
Give me the eyes,
those that mesmerize
and ask me to look into another.
To search a soul for connection
to let that one stand
as reflection,
a repository
for my love.
And give me the gift of remembrance,
when if perchance
I overlook
any opportunity
to be grateful.

A POEM BY BARBARA MARTIN December 14, 2005 8:56 PM

Where are my words?
One morning I thought they might be found
with the birds,
the little ones
on the ground.
They were looking, too.
Something should have been with me last night
as I ran,
darkness before and in back,
descending as I continued
'round the track.
Why not a message in the delight of the dogs?
Out for a walk
a chance to be free,
to satisfy
their curiosity.
Surely musical notes
could inspire
a word or two...
so many have transpired
in my presence of late.
Yes, some do have the ability to frustrate,
but most are a gift
when I sit
down to contemplate.
The air
is so fresh and clean
why haven't I been able to glean
from this--
the clarity of cold,
Winter taking hold--
just what is the story that should be told?
Ah, my new discovery
is not in words
or listening
for something to be heard
nor a search,
as if in continual question.
Now I'm finding joy in the living
thanks for so much,
loving the Touch
of the Divine,
finally believing
in this life of mine.
Love, Barbara

FREE THE BEARS December 04, 2005 11:09 AM

Todays new page has just been uploaded.
It is a little different from my usual pages, but I felt so much compassion and heartache when I read an article that came through my door the other day, that I felt compelled to put pen to paper, and thus was born todays poem, in the middle of the night actually!
Anyway, here is where you can find it...
Love and Blessings to each and every one of you ~

Shades of a sunset
so many slender threads
hanging horizontally
blending beautifully--
a fringe on the fabric of the Universe.

It's a mixture that means settling down
and letting go
and leaving little bits of life behind.
A day has passed and with it,
news and views of a unique nature--
activities that awakened or arrested interest.
And all good.
Just because it is.
And now was.

Look out through the mingling colors and see yourself.
All that has completed may rest there
safely and securely
as it finally lies down, finished for now.
Dawn will bring something else to be examined...
let that be, too, until it comes.

Simply savoring now those shades of a sunset
that hold captive your accomplishments,
all in perfect peace.

A Time To Believe

To believe is to know that every
day is a new beginning.
It is to trust that miracles happen,
and dreams really do come true.

To believe is to see Angels
dancing among the clouds.
To know the wonder of a stardust
sky and the wisdom of the
man in the moon.

To believe is to know the value
of a nurturing heart,
The innocence of a child's eyes and the
beauty of an aging hand,
for it is through their teachings
we learn to love.

To believe is to find the strength
and courage that lies within us.
When it is time to pick up
the pieces and begin again.

To believe is to know we are not alone,
That life is a gift and this is our
time to cherish it.

To believe is to know that wonderful
surprises are just waiting to happen,
And all our hopes and dreams
are within reach.
"If only we believe"

thoughts incoherent
~~ by Michael Sesling

love smiles at me
sweet desires beckoning
laughter in beauty

she breathes and ponders
her thoughts incoherently
lost within a dream

the morning sunlight
speckled through a lattice fence
points of love smiling

The year is a dancing woman

Who is born at the coming of spring

The year is a dancing woman

Of Her birth and death we sing …

In spring She comes to power

When the red of Her moonbloods come

And She dances and spins towards summer

To the beat of Her passion's drum

'Tis then She becomes so fertile

With the Life that is to come

And She flows with the Love that feeds us

'Til the Harvest Time is done

Then dances and spins towards darkness

All dressed in autumn fire

To descend to the time of shadow

And rest from the world's desire

Now Her hair is touched with silver

Winter's wisdom claims Her soul

And She births the spirit within us

Bringing light and hope to us all

Igniting a blaze in the darkness

To kindle the coming spring

Then dreams 'til Her resurrection

And Her story again begins …

The year is a dancing woman

Who is born at the coming of spring

The year is a dancing woman

Of Her birth and death we sing …

The Secret Of Living

Make each day a magnificent adventure.
Accept the challenges that come your way.
Seize each opportunity that you find,
Without concern for what others might say.

Experience each day with open arms,
Savoring both victory and strife,
Welcoming the good and bad together,
For only then will you know the joy of life.

There's a Force within

that lights our path

so we can't lose our way

Bends in the road

aren't there by chance

We chose them yesterday

What we see, and how we feel

are not as they appear

Our script was written long ago

Now, long ago is here

There is nothing wrong

and there is nothing right

Just be with all its turns

And this Guiding Force

that leads us Home

to that place where spirit yearns

So when sadness comes

and circumstance

appears to deal a blow

Close your eyes

go within

For there you'll always know...

...All things change

It's nature's way

The rose must wilt and die

To bloom but yet another day

Not to question why

Relax my friend

The fear will pass

Only Love has come to stay

Trust the Love that blooms eternally

To guide you on your way

The shimmering golden light
Of the sun rises to the occasion
An opalescent crystal sheen
A beautiful new day has dawned
The wind gently blows through
The pampas fronds outside my door
Whispering sweet nothings
In their ears
The short green grass
Has a mellow touch
A hue of mystery
As the last scattered leaves
From the virginia creeper
Scamper joyfully across its carpet
The voluminous clouds, many grey
Suggest rain today
But is matters not
For rain, hail or shine,
Gales, snow or storm
The outlook today, everyday
Is magic

      by:  Rainer Maria Rilke

Being apart and lonely is like rain. It climbs toward evening from the ocean plains; from flat places, rolling and remote, it climbs to heaven, which is its old abode. And only when leaving heaven drops upon the city. It rains down on us in those twittering hours when the streets turn their faces to the dawn,
and when two bodies who have found nothing, dissapointed and depressed, roll over; and when two people who despise eachother have to sleep together in one bed-

that is when loneliness receives the rivers...

Love, it doth vibrate
A gentle shimmer
A passion of fire

IT'S IN THE VALLEYS I GROW October 05, 2005 2:11 AM

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then I have to remember
That it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate Goodness
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn,
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

Please forgive me for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

I give thanks for those valleys,
For there's one thing that I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow!
