Let's Legalize and TAX marijuana. Reduce spending for police and prisons while increasing revenues. It's a voluntary TAX. I would not pay a penny as I don't smoke grass and I don't CARE if someone else does. I'm tired of paying my hard earned taxpayer dollars to enforce laws that are obvious failures. Really, this is a no-brainer... why would anyone want the profits to go to criminals? The fire near Santa Barbara this summer was started by a cooking fire at a Mexican Mafia Marijuana Plantation. If we simply remove the profit from this crime, the Mexican Mafia will stop planting in California's forests and stop endangering us. DO THE RIGHT THING. Legalize and TAX the kind bud. The Gallup poll says 54% in favor of legalizing marijuana and 77% in favor of legalizing MEDICINE.
