first to sign and spread the word about the petition - though it is directed to UNDP, it's intentions appeal to all organizations involved in development aid - an appeal to think in use of renewable energy as a key factor to sustainable development ... so if you're involved in a NGO please urge them to take the petition into consideration also....

I'm sponsoring a child through Bornefonden (equivalent to CCF in the US), and hope one of the first actual GreeningWays projects will be to integrate renewable energy use form local sources in the project I'm sponsoring for her there... She lives in Burkina Faso in West Africa

 I have initial contacts with the abovementioned Børnefonden ( member of Childfund International ) for a joint project for ruaral electrification of the projectcentre in Pukri, where my sponsorchild is attached.
 I also have contacts with a german NGO, that already have projects like that running in Burkina Faso - so it's all in the GreeningWay fashion - no need to invent the wheel the second time, it's all about putting the people with need and the people with resources together.
 So beside connecting these links what's needed is to help financing the initial projects - eventually it should be possible to establish a selffinancing structure in Burkina Faso - in the way the Grameen works in Bangla Desh

Ohh Well - unfortunately the Danish organization wasn't very interested "there are many good ideas, but we can't focus on all aspects of development" - Well, I do intend to push them on the issue, and have recently found out that one of the other Child-sponsor organizations in the same network IS doing this kind of projects in Honduras, so I guess I'll write again and refer to that project
