from walking city to rural country
I have not owned a car for about six years. I have lived in cities that made my choice an easy one with close access to everything including public transportation if needed. Because of the Hurricanes I have evacuated to a very rural area and am finding it hard to break down and buy a car. I don't want one! I am currently seeking a hybrid online...Any advice?

Well I hope you don't have to Carrie! Hopefully you can get situated near the town/village square so you'll be close to most of the things you need. And hopefully work won't be far away either.
But if there's no alternative, Chevy used to make a Metro that got 50 miles a gallon. Almost as good as a Prius and really cheap used.
Good luck,
Lars
