Links to Related Groups and Resources January 07, 2006 4:03 PM

Michael Brewster, my friend and also owner of Disabled Support, has graciously offered help and insight for us to share links to other helpful Care2 groups and also resources available to us.

Since we do provide a forum for similar needs and people, Michael, your offer, encouragement, and advice are so welcomed. Thank you.

So, gang, this thread will be our links gallery. Please add those groups, contacts, and references for chronic diseases here. Thank you.

Dreama Runyon, a friend of mine and also a member of our group, has the group --  Calling All Disabled, Medicaid, SS, Medicare Recipients  -- which should be beneficial to many of us as well. This is a closed group and needs an application.

Thanks, Dreama.

Thank you very much Daphne.  I am so glad that we can do this for it helps all the groups that are related to work together for the common goal of providing support to those who need it and to help make changes in laws that will benefit and make the lives of those who are disabled in any way a better life.

When all the groups work together, we can get much more done and make sure that everyone who needs support gets it.

I am so glad to be a part of this group also and hope to meet even more wonderful friends.

Michael B.

My Award Winning Positive Huntington's disease Page and Blog August 28, 2008 6:50 PM

I am 25, am experiencing Huntington’s disease symptoms.  My family is one of the few in the world who have early onset. I was a Nurse Assistant  before I got sick. I made a positive, comprehensive website. It has a blog, Articles,  care giving tips, ways to fight brain fog, myths, my story, my families’ story, history, ways to have a positive testing experience, and ways to cope. I also put on there the poems I got published in the horizon. I now have my personal support group. I have won more awards in a short period time than any other site, 62. 21  are international Awards. I am on the Top Disability/ Disease Blog List. I also have won the Disability Network Award.
