Sign these 3 animal protection petitions. October 10, 2007 8:12 PM

Millions of sharks a year have their fins removed and are haphazardly thrown back into the sea for shark fin soup, a gelatinous, unflavored "delicacy". The main point of this petition is to prevent sharks from being slaughtered by having their fins knived off, and then being discarded into the sea to be eaten alive by sea creatures or painfully dying from loss of blood. This should not be happening. ----------------------------------------------------- Sign the petition to Chickens, turkeys, and other birds are not protected under the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act. The Humane Methods of Slaughter Act was designed to ensure a quicker, more painless death for livestock, but it is only limited to cattle, sheep, swine, goats, horses, mules, and other equines. Unknown to most, billions of chickens, turkeys, and other birds are being killed in an appalling manner. These animals are forced to live in a horrendous environment for their entire lifetimes, and then are put to death in the worst way possible for them. They are shoved into miniscule crates, so overcrowded that they attack each other in irritation and confusion. They are forced to ingest drugs that cause them to grow so rapidly that their bodies cannot keep up, and they collapse from a variety of ailments. They are forced to live without food, water, and adequate shelter. Then, they are tormented and are not properly killed, still conscious and boiled alive. Some of the birds are abused in a far worse way. An end needs to be put the awful torture these animals endure. ---------------------------------------------------- P & G supposedly no longer uses dogs in their discusting testing practices, but they will not prove this or release any information to anyone. They evidently still test on rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice and rats. The helpless animals are burnt, blinded, poisoned, mutilated, and harmed in many other ways, including burning liquid being forced up their noses and being fed fragrances by tubes. They are not drugged before the psychotic testing is performed, which really would not have made it any more excusable. These animals are even harmed and killed in the worst ways imaginable for the sake of testing for the nutritional value of pet food. Please help in any way you can to stop Procter & Gamble from testing on these poor animals. There are many other alternatives.S  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
