Case status: CLOSED
Dismissed on Prosecutor's Motion
This is absolutely not acceptable! No matter where this scumbag lived, he should of been prosecuted for this. He openly admitted that he did this. And the crazy prosecutor said there is no proof he did it in their county so they drop the charges...so unexecusable! I think what needs to be done now is start a petition against this prosecutor for dropping these chages!!

( and I meant of course thanks Diane)
One day I was cycling through the rice fields of Ninh Binh Northern Vietnam. It was in winter, a very foggy day and somehow a very peaceful mystical atmosphere.
Suddenly I heart a cruel sound echoing in this peaceful landscape, 4 or 5 times. It was like the screeching of a circular saw cutting metal. I couldn´t believe that the poor farmers in this valley head an expensive tool like that. So I tried to find out the reason for that terrible sound. Whenever I saw a farmer I asked him about it. And then someone told me, that a family has slaughtered a dog. They cut of his paws and then make a long cut along the tummy. The sound came from the dog screaming in pain. I don´t have to explain how I felt, when I heart that. And I couldn´t explain anyway ....![]()
Later in the evening of that terrible day, I was telling an Australian in a restaurant about that horrible story. He was marrid to a Vietnamese woman and thus familiar with the traditions of the people. He explained me that people in Vietnam (and in Laos and Cambodia too) kill the animals very very slowly and painfully, because that makes the meat very soft and tender. Because the body of an animal that suffers very badly before dying pours out a lot of hormons and adrenaline an things like that. Therefore the meat might be a little bit softer later. Well of course that´s reason enough to torture animals, the chance that your cat, dog, chicken, turtle or whatever steak might be a little bit tastier. ![]()
I´m telling you this story, because I´ve seen so terrible things on my vacations in China, Vietnam and neighbouring countries, that I wish I could tell this the world. Especially to all that naive Zen and Buddha enthusiasts in Western countries, that are too and uninformed blind to see reality. They are dreaming of the Buddhists in Asia as gentle better human beings, that respect every living creature. It´s so totally wrong. They have no respect and feeling for nothing.
I can´t forget the sadistic face of a woman in a life animal market (I don´t know the Englsih word), which put a turtle into nearly boiling water, because this way she could remove ( or seperate) the shield of the turtle easier. Of course the poor turtles survive that painful procedure for hours, thus being a much better candidate for the soup. ![]()
Please tell the world how all these gentle, sensitive and enlightened people in these Buddhistic countries treat animals. We should boycott to visit to those countries, before the governments of those countries educate their people to behave like civilized human beings.
Anyway, that Vietnamese guy from facebook doesn´t surprise me. He did exactly what most people in Asia find very normal.

But thank you very much Mark to inform us. And thanky Diane for the further informations.
I will sign and share it.

A Wood County judge has set a $2,000 cash bond for a former Wisconsin Rapids teenager accused of cutting off a puppy's ears with a razor blade.
Nong F. Vang, 18, whose address is listed as St. Paul, Minn., made his initial appearance Monday in Wood County Circuit Court on the charge of mistreating an animal. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 3.5 years in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, in June 2009, Vang told a Wood County humane officer investigating a report of animal abuse that he had used a razor blade to cut off the ears of a puppy. Vang said he could do what he wanted with his property.
The humane officer took the puppy to a veterinarian who told her the ears were removed without the use of anesthesia. The veterinarian also said dirt and debris were in the puppy's ear folds.
Case Updates
An 18-year-old Minnesota man charged with cutting off a puppy's ears with a razor blade is expected to enter a plea to the charge Wednesday in Wood County Circuit Court.
According to the criminal complaint, on June 9, 2009 a humane officer responded to a home on Oak Street in Wisconsin Rapids for the report of a mutilated four or five-month-old dog. The officer stated she was approached by Nong Vang, who was 15-years-old at the time, Vang told the officer it was his puppy and he could do with it whatever he wanted.
The veterinarian who examined the puppy recommended that Vang be charged with animal mistreatment.
Vang is charged with mistreatment of an animal causing death. He's free on a $2,000 cash bond.
The practice of clipping a dog's ears, known as cropping, is commonly done to certain breeds like Pit bulls, Doberman Pinschers, Schnauzers, Great Danes and Boxers for cosmetic reasons.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) says dogs involved in dog fighting often have their ears clipped to prevent allowing another animal to grab onto them during a fight. It also makes it harder for another animal to read the dog's body language.
In Wisconsin, a charge of animal mistreatment carries a maximum sentence of three-and-half years in prison.
