Pray that everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving~
We have snow today, not cold, but fluffy~
In just a few short hours from now the door will close completely on November and it will be just another month of the past. I pray that the spirit of thanksgiving will be brought forward into our future as we lay all else to rest.
Holly.....and.....Kaya.....I will always be truthful with everyone according to the way I see it. What you must remember is that it's only my opinion and everybody has one. Others may not agree with me. Just because you do agree doesn't make me right.......nor does it make me wrong. It's just my opinion and the truth as I see it. Never.....Ever.....take anything I say for the gospel truth. Always look it up and read it for yourself. Then listen to what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach you. I'm far from being all knowing and frequently fall prey to error. When I do, I pray someone will call me on it so that I can learn from my own mistakes. Hopefully everyone here has enough love for the truth to not let me get away with something in error.
Justice.....There is nothing you can do that God cannot forgive you for. Whatever it is that is eating away at you, please take to before the Lord and with a spirit of repentance, ask for His forgiveness, He will give it to you. He will also give you direction concerning your family, just pray and follow His lead. The longer you put this off, the more you punish yourself. I have prayed for you and your baby and will continue to do so.
We are now starting a warming trend, this morning was the last of our lows in the 30's for a while. By Monday we should be back into the 70's for the rest of the week. Lows will return to the 50's and 60's. Looking forward to the AC again.
I will be trying to make the new threads for December today for everyone to start using tomorrow and also changing out the billboard. Care2 is dragging along so slow that it is not going to be an easy task this time. Hope I don't make it too difficult for all of you to work around me.
May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds, and continue to keep us safe from all harm.
Justice,we all have that. You admit the fact, just talk to ALMIGHTY,and He is there for you,no matter who else is.How are you feeling?Keep you in our prayers,ok.Take care of yourself, please.
Jeanette,it really is refreshing to see someone tell the truth,I knew there was something amiss about that.I appreciate all that you and others contribute here, thank you.
Have a great weekend, all of you.Hugs to you, prayers for you,and praises to ALMIGHTY.Especially for His mercy that I know that I so desperately need.
I am guilty of what you are talking about.....but not with christmas and black friday.it is some thing else.I need to talk to Almighty, but my family is going to disown me.....
I am sick, but it is temporary.Pray for my baby to be healed and safe, pleas.thanks
Love you guys.
THANK YOU!!!!! SOME ONE FINALLY TOLD THE TRUTH!!!!! I OWE YOU MORE THAN THANKS,BUT TAKE WAHT I HAVE.I AM SO APPRECITIVE,THIS WAS HURTING MY FAITH.CONFUSING ME.THANKS.I JUST WANT THE TRUTH........THE WAY,THE TRUTH,THE LIFE.......NO THING ELSE.
Kaya........Everything that you described is not of the Christian nature but you must remember that more than half of the population of the USA is NOT born again Christians. It is the pagan/heathen population that have no regard for others, no respect, and are filled with greed and self centered. But this is what we Christians are up against if we go out on a day like today to take advantage of the sales and savings that are offered.
Now.....what has all of this to do with Jesus Christ????? Not one blessed thing. December 25th is not the birthday of Christ. December is not even the month of His birth. Winter is not even the season of His birth. This date was actually a day to celebrate and worship the SUN god, not the Son of God. It us grounded deeply in paganism. The merchants like this time of year to push their sales and profit before the end of the year. That way they have less inventory to count, more profit in their banks. So they use the birth of the Son of God for the reason of the season. It is just a pagan TRADITION and nothing more. It has been around so long now that even some Christians will argue with you about it and declare it to be the birthday of Christ. Just don't let it all confuse you......it's just custom here as you have customs there that are not biblical as well. Some things we just have to accept in order to get along in the world with those around us. We must respect their right to celebrate as they choose, just as we do.
I did not realize that Justice was so seriously ill, she is still in my prayers and will remain there. Please keep us updated on how she is doing.
Have a blessed day.
LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!
Please explain to me , how is witch craft tree in the house, spend money for things you will throw away and do not need, trampling people to death for toys, fighting, going into debt, how is this the birth of Jesus Christ? I am confused.I do not need the calender to tell me to give my loved ones presents.Greed, babylonian things.
Justice is seriously ill.She is anemia, they can not get the iron level up with the supplements, and she is lead poisioing from craving paint chips dirt, and plaster? This happens every time she is pregnant,I have been told.
I hope that every one who celebrates had a wonderful thanks giving.Hugs to all of you,I am so happy to ahve you for my friends.Thank you so much.....and thank you for your patience with me.
This is the last TGIF of the month. It's also the "Black" Friday of the year. People are trampling all over each other and fighting over merchandise on the shelves, padding the merchants pockets and spending like there is no tomorrow. This is how we start our Season of Love and the Spirit of Giving. Like Scrooge says, Bah Humbug. So glad I'm indoors, at home, warm, cozy, and comfortable and not out in that mess.
I'm trusting that all of you got your fill of turkey yesterday, except those of you from outside the states. Our turkey was small but there was lots of cornbread dressing.
Kelli........So happy that you were able to prepare a holiday meal for your family. We serve such an awesome God, He never fails to provide for our needs. We may not always get all that we want, but we do get all that we need. Hoping that your company arrived safely and that you had a good time becoming better acquainted in the Lord. Just don't rush things, if the Lord makes a match, neither of you are going anywhere. Take it slow and enjoy the journey together.
Thank you Nance.....Florika......Holly and Kaya for your holiday wishes for us. Hope that Justice is feeling better and will be able to post with us again soon. Time to go get ready for the kids to arrive. Don't want them to catch me in my jammies.
May the Lord watch over us all, keep us safe from harm, and continue to provide for our individual needs.
Good morning, everyone.I hope that you and yours are happy, safe, and warm.Have a good day.Hugs to you,and praises to YAHWEH.
Happy Thanksgiving USA. Jamaica does not do it,but,as Holly sayed,I am always thankful.Love you guys.
Kelli,be careful.Take it slowly,ok.Just saying........
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am so thankful to God today! Last night my church had a community meal and my daughter and I got to have a dinner there. This month my church gave us food to get through the month when I did not know how I was going to feed my family, and a lady from the church bought us a turkey and some fixings so we get to have a Thanksgiving meal today. I really thought we wouldn't. God is so good!
I am single, and have been for two years. There is a man in my Bible study group that I got to talk to last night, and we talked on the phone for hours and he might come over today for dinner! I don't know if he is the one I've been praying for God to prepare for me, but it will at least be nice to have the company of a Christian man.
Have a good day everyone! God bless you all!
Whether or not you celebrate the traditional American holiday, and even if some things in your life are extremely difficult, there is so much to be thankful for still.I am thankful for my loved ones, for all of you and what you contribute here, and for the hope that maybe someday, those I love will obtain peace with Almighty. If there is breath, there is hope.THANKS BE TO ALMIGHTY,and hugs and well wishes to all of you.
May the Lord bless you and yours on this day of Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends in USA
The rains are all gone, blue sky and sunshine and 39 degrees this morning. Oh yeah, forgot to say, breezy. Pretty steady wind blowing and making it seem colder than it is. We are on the downside of this roller-coaster through tomorrow and then a slow climb back to warmer temperatures. Can hardly wait.
We are blessed with another new member this morning. Doug G. comes to us from Montana where it is really cold. We welcome you Doug to Salvation By Grace and invite you to join in our chit-chat so that we might all become better acquainted.
Today is going to be a busy one for most all of us. Time in group will be limited to rest breaks only. Hope that all of you are better organized than I am.
Michael.......So glad that a dusting is all that you got out of this system. For that we say, Thank You Lord.
May the Lord continue to keep us all safe from harm and provide for the needs of His children.
Jeanette we did get a dusting and glad that's all.
Holly I don't like the cold either.
Florika thanks for the video and Jeanette I like the video. Thank God for salvation.
Well,you get the point.......
Thank you, Kaya, for letting us know. Will be praying for her.
....Justice is sick......
Good Morning Everyone! With the rain, snow and ice that is making it's way across the nation, I thought this little fella might be appropriate for the day. We are due for 20's on Thursday morning, 30's on Friday morning and would you believe the 70's again by Sunday afternoon? Can't get here soon enough for me.
Holly........Fortunately we don't put a lot of faith in what Confucius has to offer. There are two types of sinners according to the Bible, for "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." A "SAINT" is a born again, or saved sinner and all others are lost sinners. So not all sinners that fall and get up can be included in the body of Saints. I hope that you are prepared for the weather that is coming your way. The system that is affecting us now is supposed to collide with another one that should bring a good amount of snow your way. Not sure what part of the state you are in and hopefully all of the messy stuff will stay to the north of you.
Michael........the weather map looked like you might get a little dusting out of this system also. All we are getting is wet, rain and more rain. Hope it is just a hit and miss with you and moves over quickly before much has a chance to drop on you. Would rather know you had snow instead of freezing rain though. Those are dangerous conditions that leave too many without power. This happens all too often when the holidays arrive.
May the Lord keep us all safe in His protective care and continue to provide for the needs of His children.
"A SAINT IS JUST A SINNER WHO FELL DOWN.....AND GOT UP."
I hope that your day is as wonderful as all of you.
It hasn't gotten this cold in the south yet, but we are expecting it for early Turkey Day morning. Predictions are that it will be in the 20's by then. This will be the coldest Thanksgiving we've ever spent. Most of the time it is mild and only need a sweater to go outdoors. The blessing in this is that everyone will be staying inside and spending time with each other rather than outdoors playing with the children. Makes for a better family time together. There is not enough of that happening in today's world. This is good homemade soup weather. Or gumbo if you happen to be Cajun. We don't care for the gumbo. A pot of chili would even be nice, and poured over a handful of Fritos would be even better.
Florika.......your video is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Holly........you are not alone, there are several of us in this group that actually "hate" the biting cold weather, but we just have to make the best of it and pray daily for an early Spring. We are blessed to have a warm shelter to comfort us from the cold. Be sure you bundle up and keep warm going to and from work.
The news announcers have been talking about the flu shots this year already causing so many deaths. We will not be taking the flu shots, I personally would rather fight the flu. It is killing children, teens and senior citizens.......really bad when you can't trust your doctors or the medicines they give you.
May the Lord continue to provide for the needs of His children and keep us all safe from harm.
I hope that your day and your week are wonderful.Biting cold here,I hate it.So glad to have other things to look forward to.Thankful every day, thanks to Almighty, hugs and good wishes to all of you.
It is cold hear this evening. 30s this evening.
Nance I hope your winter is not to bad and you get to go see your grandchild.
Florika that video is beautiful and true.
Wishing you Blessed day/night wherever you are.Be safe and well and warm.Take care. God Bless today and always!
Good Morning Everyone......It's actually below cool and into cold here this morning with temps in the upper 30's. Tomorrow morning should be a few degrees colder yet. We switched from AC to heat again before going to sleep so the house would be warm when we woke up.
Everyone please help me to welcome our newest member, Kelli H., who comes to us from Ohio.
Nance.......I well understand the reason you don't go visit and see Grace during the winter time. That would be a long drive, especially hard during the cold and probable snow conditions. You will just have to pray for a short winter and an early spring so you can go back sooner. I don't know how you can function in sub-zero conditions, that would do me in for sure. Do your homes have heated floors like they do in Alaska? I would have to wear an electric blanket around me all winter long.
Holly........Thanks for the wonder wishes for love and sweet memories this morning. You always have a positive attitude on display and start our day off with sunshine, even if it's raining.
For the rest of our members that haven't made it in, we hope that all is well with you and yours and that a busy schedule for the upcoming holiday is all that is keeping you away.
May the Lord bless each of you this day with the healing, or need, that you have and keep us all safe in His loving care.
Allo~Jeanette & Friends
Baby is bit far about 15 hrs drive. Have to make a visit in the summer, whereas I know she will be closing to 8 months, nearly walking stage. Have a good Granny's Brag book going, adding all the time with other two grandsons.
Weatherwise it is O F with windchills -9 F. Keep bundle up and warm
Have a blessed day
Good Morning Everyone.......we have a heavy cloud cover and very fine mist with the promise of rain today. We are very anxiously awaiting it's arrival. It's somewhat cooler here and there is also a promise of some very cold temps on the way.......like down to freezing, which is most unusual for this area during this time of year. Maybe later in Dec. or during Jan. or Feb., but not November. Our sugar cane farmers are trying to bring in their crops and burning their fields and it's never this cold for the harvest. This will sure make a difference on the Thanksgiving Indian Powwow that is all weekend after Thanksgiving Day. When it gets too cold or too wet, the public doesn't go out and spend their money for the crafts that the Indians make a living selling. They travel long distances at their own expense hoping to make enough to have a profit when they get back home. These are intertribal gatherings, many nations will be represented. I sure wish I was up to going, I miss fellowshipping with them. It's always such a beautiful learning experience when we go.
Holly........love your graphic and agree that the best is still yet to come. That is our ultimate goal. You and yours are in my prayers, especially those in need of salvation.
Nance.......Guess you are having a good time playing with that new baby. I know I would be. Since we are having such a large drop in temperatures, what are the temps like where you are?
Michael........I'm praying for a mild winter also, but this next week doesn't look very promising for that. When is your next grandbaby due to arrive? Please let me know when they find out what it will be.
Well, the Razorback football game comes on TV in 15 more minutes so will cut this short and try to come back later. Not expecting them to win, will be happy if they just score. We are also pulling for Texas A & M to beat LSU today. Gerry, hope you are a football fan, you can help us cheer for them.
May the Lord keep us all safe and warm and continue to provide for the individual needs of His children.
Thank you,Michael. How are you and your son feeling?I hope that you,Luis, and everyone are ok.My loved ones all need your prayers.
Good morning, and happy weekend to everyone.I hope that it is relaxing for all of you.
Thank you all for what you do here and other places to promote Almighty's Kingdom.Hugs and thanks to all of you,and thanks and praise to Almighty.
Holly wow! Your son has talent. I use to draw some years ago.
Jeanette I hope we have a mild winter this year.
We agree in prayers for Luis.
Allo~Jeanette & Friends
Pray that all in mending in and throughtout our friend Luis, in Jesus Name. Amen
Luis is home as of 2 pm today, very weak, but home. His heart is working less than 10% according to the cardiologists, new meds prescribed, went to Target to get them. I do not care what the report of the doctors are, I believe the report of the Lord in his Word and His Word says Luis was healed by the stripes on Jesus back! He did it once before when he had 4 cardiac arrests 3 years ago and came out of the hospital with 10% and by prayer and standing in God's Word it had gone up to 30% all doctors were amazed then and they shall be again in Jesus name! Thank you for all your prayers for him and for me, I love you so much, Ivy

Good Morning, Justice.......I must really be slow this morning. You came and made your post and scoodoodled while I was still composing mine. You weren't there when I started to type. You are so right, we do serve and AWESOME God. To Him be the praise and glory for all things. May you have a blessed day.
Good Morning Everyone! It's another T.G.I.F. day. We began our day with temps in the upper 60's and headed for 81 this afternoon. Tonights low about 56 and tomorrow's high 57. It will remain cool for the next 4 or 5 days. Time to get out the sweat shirts again.
Kaya......love the little yellow birds, they are not common to our area so pictures of them is all we can ever see. They are all beautiful.
Holly.......all I can say about your graphic is that kitty is sure raising a litter of little stinkers. I wouldn't want them around me. lol. She seems to be okay with her new job though. Your children are very young to be taking on the responsibility of rearing a family. I will remember them to receive guidance from the Lord to raise these young ones that He has entrusted them to care for. Kids are so anxious to grow up, they just don't realize that they have a whole lifetime ahead of them. They need to enjoy being young while they can. They hardly have their feet on the ground yet.
I finished Chapter 20 of Matthew yesterday. I doubt I will have time to start a new chapter today but maybe tomorrow I can do it.
May all of you have a blessed day and be kept safe in our Saviour's hands.
hello and hugs,my precious friends.ALMIGHTY is awesome!love you all, praying for all the things that you sayed here.i am so grateful for all of you.
GOOD MORNING AND HUGS TO EVERYONE.SMILE,THE WEEKEND IS COMING!!!!! JEANETTE,JOSHUA IS 19,HE WILL BE 20 IN DECEMBER.HE HAS AN 18 MONTH OLD,SO DOES MY 1 DAUGHTER WHO IS EXPECTING.MY YOUNGEST NEEDS TO WAIT A WHILE,HAHAHAHA.I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HERE WILL PRAY FOR MY FAMILY,SO MUCH NEEDED.....ESPECIALLY SALVATION.LOVE TO YOU ALL,AND I PRAY FOR YOU TOO.HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.
HELLO AND HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!!
Looks like rain, heavy overcast this morning with rain predicted for this afternoon. By tomorrow it should be spread northeastward to Michael's mountain and wet him down also. High today near 80, probably 78 or 79. Our humidity this morning is 90% so I'm huffing and puffing with my breathing.
Holly.......Your son, Joshua, is very blessed with his gift from God. He is very good, even his shading of colors and he has an eye for detail. How old is Joshua? I have no artistic talent at all, I only draw stick people and they aren't even good. LOL. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Justice........How are you feeling these days? Do you know yet if you will have a boy or girl this time? There seems to be a lot of this going around lately, must be something in the drinking water.
Nance.......Thanks for your new posts on your new threads. I read them both before I started posting this morning and enjoyed them very much. Actually, I read them while listening to the music thread. Can I claim that as multi-tasking?
Our members seem to be slowing down on their participation lately, they must be getting ready for Thanksgiving. We have been working on a menu that will fit into our schedule. None of us are very fast anymore and it might take us days to get a meal together. I would be just as happy with a tuna salad sandwich but that doesn't go well with cornbread dressing.
May the Lord keep us all safe and continue to provide for the individual needs of His children.
My son Joshua did this tiger picture. He has done others too. This is done with colored pencils.I have a painting he gave me for mother's day last year.
Iwill pray for all of the things that you mentioned. It will be ok,Yahweh promised that"ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD FOR THEM WHO LOVE HIM."It does not mean that you will not go through things, but the promise says that no matter what we do endure, somehow it will be ok........
HANG ON,IT WILL BE OK......I AM REMINDING ME TOO......PRAY...FOR....MY....FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!Love you all.
A wee bit on the cooler side this morning but highs still in the mid to upper 70's. I think another change in our weather is about to happen.
Michael........How wonderful that Carson will have a little brother or sister to grow up with. Please let us know which it will be as soon as they find out. I've got my crochet hook ready to go again. Just need to know what color this time. I'm almost finished with one for one of my nurses with Home Health Care. This is the second nurse to have a baby and this is her 4th one. And you are right, God will provide for His own. This should be an early to mid summer arrival? .
May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds and keep us safe from harm as we go about our daily tasks.
This post was modified from its original form on 20 Nov, 8:17
Michael,we are praying for you, your son, your family, people in this group, ivonne's husband...her too.An other thing,Kaya found a prayer chain, she will put people's names there,so that more people can pray.I send all of you hugs, love and prayers for you.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
Jeanette,Kaya, and Nance you always have beautiful graphs.
We thank everyone for praying for our son.
We find out thy are going to have a babie.
We know the Lord will take care of them.
Allo~Jeanette & Friends
Shall check the prayer requests~
good morning, Kaya, and thank you so very much. Have a blessed day.
I will offer up the prayers for them,ok.Good morning, hugs to all.Praises to Almighty.
Blue sky, breezy, about 10 degrees cooler and sunshine. Sounds like a good mix for this time of year, can't complain.
Linda........glad you liked my little owl, I loved him immediately when I first saw him and had to snag to my photobucket. He looks a little friendlier than most of them do. Thanks for visiting us, I always worry when there is bad weather in the area of one of our members. I said prayers for you and all in your area as soon as I saw those clouds over the stadium of the Bears game. Those were some angry looking works of violence brewing.
Please, everyone, check out our Prayer Request thread and offer prayers for those in need. We have some very serious health concerns that need our attention, including Michael's son Nicholas with his broken ankle. I will be trying to add to the Matthew study thread, Chapter 20, again today.
May the Lord guide each of us in all our ways and continue to keep us safe in His loving and merciful care.
Good evening everyone. it did warm up some over the weekend, but also got rain and was windy. Saturday I made it home just in time. As I was walking on my street toward my building,I saw lightening flash and heard thunder. Just as I got inside my apt,the rain came pouring down. Rained pretty much all day sunday as well. The church ended up cancelling evening service because of a storm brewing and heavy winds.
Michael-sorry about your son Nicholas' accident. I will pray for his healing. Is he able to get workman's comp?
Nance-congrats on the birth of your new granddaughter, She looks like a sweetheart. Love the name Grace Rose.
Jeanette-love the owl picture. I'm thankful my area wasn't one of the places struck by the tornados. I live further up in the northern part of Illinois. My prayers go out to the people in the tornado devastated areas.
Have to go now,but hope to visit again soon.
Blue sky and sunshine and 74 degrees. Couldn't ask for anything better than that to start a new day.
Nance.......Grace is beautiful.....I would sit and rock her all day long and get nothing done around me. If only they would stay small like that, but they do grow up so fast.
Holly........When is your grandchild due to arrive? Do you know if it's a boy or girl? Is your family in the states or in Jamaica? I hope they are here so you can see and hold that new baby. I will be praying for them to accept our Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour and raise their children to know Him.
Michael........Good news that Nicholas is going home today. Still praying for his complete healing and speedy recovery.
We were watching the Bears and Ravens game yesterday and got to see some of the horrible looking clouds that rolled through Illinois during their tornado outbreak. Please remember these people that have lost everything and are going to have to rebuild their lives from scratch. This is sad for anyone to experience, but it seems worse right here at Thanksgiving time and the Christmas season around the corner. They only have each other to be thankful for which should trigger many prayers of thanksgiving for all of us with the many blessings that we have been given. Please remember those in prayer on our Prayer Request thread aso.
May the Lord watch over us and protect us from all harm. May His mercy and His healing be upon those that are in need.
HI,EVERY ONE .
BEAUTIFUL BABY,NANCE.MY MIDDLE NAME IS ROSE.
HAVE AN AWESOME SAY,
LOVE TO YOU ALL,
PRAISE TO ALMIGHTY.
Good morning everyone. Congratulations Nance.
We thank everyone for prayers for Nicholas. He is gets to come home today. It will take time to heal. God bless everyone.
Allo~Holly, Jeannete & Friends
Yes, indeedy I do have a picture of her. She is sure loved by her brother, too.
Good morning, everyone.I hope that you all had a refreshing weekend.
Jeanette,I agree with you about the art that Almighty creates. There are many great artists,my son being one of them, but He is he best by far.I wish Scott and his wife the best for the trip.
Michael,I hope that you and your son are progressing well and healing.Almighty can heal you, keep asking.
Nance, happy for the new grandchild.I have 2 and one on the way.
Prayers for my children and grandchildren to obtain eternal salvation would be appreciated,as I pray for you and yours.Thank you,and have a wonderful week, like you all are.
Good Morning to All of You on this wonderful Lord's day. We have rain......woke up to 73 degrees, cloudy, dark, and wet. Our afternoon forcast has been revised and we now expect 83 for today's high. Of course that also gives us 80% humidity and a 70 dewpoint......very heavy air and difficult to breathe......but I don't need to go anywhere so I'm comfy in my AC.
Nance.......CONGRATULATIONS on the arrival of your granddaughter. Is she your first grandchild? You must post a picture of her so we can all see. I sure miss having a wee one around the house. They are such wonderful little blessings and bundles of joy.
Holly......I know you are homesick but please don't envy Scott and Suzanne......you have no idea what could be in store for them. Scott is strongly, almost deathly, afraid of the ocean. I'm concerned about how he will do on this trip. After they leave New Orleans, their first dock site is in Key West Florida. It would not surprise me at all if they had to put him off the ship and fly him back home. He went to the Dominican Republic with his daughter several months back but they flew and he was never on the water. This will be either the best or the worst experience for him. Only time will tell. You will just have to consider moving to our coastline so you can watch the coming or going of the sun each day.
Kaya.......love those beautiful fall colors in your graphic this morning. The whole world is a canvas and only God can paint a canvas like that.
Michael.......We are praying that Nicholas is doing better today and is at home and out of the hospital. Please keep us updated on how he is doing when you can.
Remember to count your blessings on this Lord's Day and may your blessings increase as you grow in the knowledge of Him.
BLESSINGS ON YOUR PRECIOUS GRANDCHILD!!!!!!!!!
Allo~Holly, Jeanette & Friends
Been celebrating the birth of my granddaughter, born November 13. She was 7 lbs. Both Mamma and baby doing well.
Jeanette,I envy them! Not sure when I will get to go,but I look forward to it.I send blessings to them.
Have a good rest of the weekend, everyone!HUGS!
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the free gift of eternal life with You. I acknowledge that You are the only One who can save me and change my heart. Teach me to follow You, that You may be glorified in me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Cloudy and foggy down south but we are told it will clear off and be 80 today. AC got turned back on yesterday and no more sweatshirts for a while. Yipppeeeee!!!!! Loving this weather.
Michael.......I'm so very sorry to hear about Nicholas, of course we will be praying for his complete healing and fast recovery. Just want to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your devotional this morning. There is such a vivid picture painted in that story. I especially liked the prayer at the end also and am going to use it here today.
Holly.......Glad to hear you are having a relaxing and enjoyable morning. Also hope that your temps are warming up again too. Have some news to share with you......my son, Scott, and wife, have been given a cruise by the church congregation to celebrate his 5th anniversary as pastor of the church and it is also Scott & Suzanne's wedding anniversary. They will leave on Dec. 12. One of the stops they will make is in Falmouth. I'll ask him to take some sunset pictures for me to share with you.
Today is not going to be very exciting for us. The Razorbacks and LSU Tigers both have this week off the schedule. The best game we have to watch will be Alabama and that will be no contest. Bama should run away with that game. Maybe tomorrow will be exciting, Saints play the 49'ers. Ray is begging for an apple pie so that will probably be my chore for the afternoon.
Hope all of you will have a safe and relaxing weekend.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the free gift of eternal life with You. I acknowledge that You are the only One who can save me and change my heart. Teach me to follow You, that You may be glorified in me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Something for a laugh:
A man took a trip to the Holy land with his family. The time with most of them was nice, except he was not really fond of the mother in law.She happened to pass away during their trip. They were given the option of transporting the body back to their own country,or having her buried there. He insisted on having the body transported back to their own country. When complimented on how caring he was he shook his head and said,"That is not it at all.The last person I heared about being buried here got up again after 3 days.I can not risk that happening again."
Yes,Jeanette, nothing like an island sunrise or sunset, right?
Michael,I am sorry about your son,I hope that he can get some kind of compensation while he is off from work?
Hello and hugs to everyone,I am relaxing with my fiance and eating breakfast,so good to have the weekend here.
Say a prayer for Kaya and her kids.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
Jeanette our prayers for your granddaughter for her to get to go.
Please everyone prayer for our son Nicholas he fell and broke his ankle in three places yesterday at work. Thay did surgery yesterday evening. He finely did rest some late last night. Dr said he might not be abel to work again for three months.
Good Morning Everyone.......It's another T.G.I.F. Friday, now, say it out loud......Thank God I'm Forgiven. Isn't that a wonderful sound and feeling to start off your day? Our weather man says rain this morning and bright sunshine by early afternoon. High today upper 70's. Well, we have sunshine this morning with a few scattered clouds roaming around but not bothering anybody. The rain remains yet to be seen.
Justice.......I can never tell if it is a sunrise or a sunset but I must say the colors and scene is a beautiful one. Actually it looks like a good spot to do some fishing too. I love to go fishing.
Michael.......what wonderful news for Elizabeth. Let's hope that it continues to shrink and just fades away. It was also wonderful that the Lord kept the roads clear for you. He blesses us in so many ways when we least expect it.
We are very proud of our granddaughter, Jessi, but she might have to wait another year before she can go to the Honor Academy. I don't believe we can scare up enough money for her to make it into this class now starting. They require that each student have their own vehicle and the insurance paid for 1 year in advance plus cash flow so that they don't have to worry about getting a job that might take them away from their study time. It's a very strict school, they do not allow dating during the school sessions at all. That wouldn't bother Jessi though, she has not yet been allowed to date. She will never know what she is missing. She and her sister live very sheltered lives, overly sheltered in my opinion but that doesn't count for very much. She has a heart for God and only wants to be in service to Him.
Holly, Holly, Holly.........we really do need to get you moved to the coastline somewhere so you can see the sun rising or sinking into that vast ocean horizon. I don't think they make pills for homesickness or I would send you some. LOL. Just know that you are where God wants you to be and He wants us to be content with what He gives us.
Chapter 19 of Matthew is completed and will be starting Chapter 20 soon.
May the Lord guide us in all our ways and keep us safe from harm.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
My wifes dr appt went well. Dr says to call back when it gets worser. She doing ok the cyst has went down some and not hurting like it was. Dr says later when he has to he will remove it. We dint get enough snow to cover the roads. We suppose to be back around 70s by sunday.
Jeanette congrad to your granddaughter getting into Honor Academy to prepare her for the ministry in music. Prayers for them.
I wish you all a peaceful day.
GOOD AFTERNOON,EVERYONE.Another ocean sunrise, for those like me who crave it.Thank you , Jeanette and everyone, for your continued prayers.Very much needed for some people I love.I pray for you as well.Hugs to all of you,and praises to ALMIGHTY .
Another cold morning with change on the way. Each day now should be 10 to 12 degrees warmer than the last and the weekend should be back to tank top weather again. I have been in a sweat shirt all day for the past 2 days. We are also expecting storms, possibly severe, as this warming front pulls in that gulf moisture and spreads it northward and to the east. Should be a nasty weekend all across the east. Get what you need and prepare to stay indoors and enjoy the time to rest.
Linda.......Glad you didn't get a big storm out of that system, there will be plenty of time for that later. Maybe you can put the socks away again in a few days. I hate them too and seldom ever put them on my feet. My toes get claustrophobia having to hide in the socks. Just so you keep warm and don't catch cold or the flu. Yes, we were very relieved to find that there was no fire. We were truly blessed and the Lord protected us and our home. I guess that means I need to start saving toward having someone come out and clean the air ducts to make sure everything is safe.
Michael......hope all is well with you and yours. How did the doctor appointment go with Elizabeth? Were the roads in good condition for your trip? Keeping all of you in prayer.
Carol.......Nance......Florika......Justice......Holly.......Rahab.......Kaya and all other members, hope that all is going well with you and yours. Praying for you and the group.
My son and family is on the hiways today enroute to Texas to see about my granddaughter getting into Honor Academy to prepare her for the ministry in music. Please keep them in prayer for travel mercies through the weekend and for their safe return back to Mississippi on Monday.
May the Lord watch over us all and keep us safe from harm.
Good afternoon Jeanette,Michael, and everyone else. Well our first snow of the year didn't amount to much. Just enough to cover the ground. However the temps did dip down into the 20's. There were some icy patches here and there so had to walk very carefully. Been putting it off as long as I could, but finally brought out my winter coat along with my hat and gloves. Started wearing socks again as well. I hate socks. They are the first things to go as soon as the weather gets warmer. This weekend is supposed to get warmer with temps in the 50's possibly close to 60.
Michael-I will keep your wife in prayer. Hope her doctor visit goes well. Is the 2 hour trip one way or both ways?
Jeanette-you most of been relieved there wasn't an actual fire that set off the smoke alarm. What probably set it off was the dust that had collected on the furnace during the warm weather months. Got to go,but will visit again as soon as I can.

Good Morning Everyone! We bottomed out at the freezing mark and with blue sky and sunshine, I'm praising and thanking the Lord we are not as cold as some of you are. Our high today will be in the upper 50's but they are now forcasting 80 by Sunday. Can hardly wait.
We had a big scare during the night. At 2:15 am we were awakened abruptly by the smoke alarms going off in the house. We all jumped up and smelling smoke, began to search for the cause. It was thankfully just the heater coming on for the first time. The temps finally got cool enough inside to trigger the heater. No more AC for a few days. Teresa and I were so high on the fear that we watched about an hour of TV before we could go back to sleep.
Michael.......I sure hope and pray that your snowfall was so little that you will not have to drive in it for 2 hours each way today. What a mess that would be. I'll be saying prayers for your safe travel and return. Hope the doctor has good news for her.
Carol........We are so glad that you are part of our society as well. You are a positive note in a choir of flats and sharps and we do appreciate hearing from you.
Kaya.......and.......Holly........Thanks to you both for your hugs and warm greetings. May your day be blessed also.
May God guide each of us in our thoughts, our words, and our deeds while continuing to keep us all safe from harm.

Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
Its cold this morning around 20. Jeanette we did get little snow.
I have the wood burner chugging. lol
I have to take my wife back to the dr this morning. 2 hour drive. We don't have many good dr.s in our area.
Good morning,everyone.Kaya,you are early!Hi!Have a wonderful day and week,everyone.

Good morning.Thank you for that,Carol, powerful if you think on it.I just wanted to say hi to every one,and wish you a happy day today.I apreciate all of you,and consider you friends though we have never met.Hugs to you all,and praises be to Almighty One.
all is well with me. grateful to be a member of this community...
Oh what a beautiful morning down south......temps in the 50's and an expected high of 68 forcast for today. Tonights low is predicted to be 32 and tomorrow night 35. After that another warm up and by the weekend back into the 70's again.
Linda.......Hope the sudden dip into the 20's doesn't effect your health, you bundle up and keep warm. I also share your feelings on the Veterans Day sales. Merchants will use any reason to drum up business for their stores and our troops and veterans should not be used in that way. But then, what should we expect. They commercialize our Lords ficticious birthday as an excuse to raise prices and sell bunches before the years end to pad their profits. I have little use for commercialism or government in my old age.
With snow predicted up north, I imagine that Johnny and Michael, Justice, Holly and Thedia might be getting some also as the systems moves eastward. Hope all of you keep warm and don't have to get out in the weather until it warms up again.
May the Lord keep us safe from harm and continue to provide for the needs of His children.
CELEBRATE ALL THAT YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR TODAY AND EVERY DAY.IF YOU ARE LOVED,YOU ARE BLESSED.YOU ARE LOVED BY ALMIGHTY,AND BY ME.HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD MORNING,MY PRECIOUS FRIENDS.HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY.THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING HERE,AND FOR WHAT YOU CONTRIBUTE.HUGS!!!!!!!
Thank you for your encouragement and prayers, all!

Good afternoon to all. A happy Veterans Day to all who have served. I pray their sacrifices for the cause of freedom will never be frogotten nor taken for granted. It sadden me that Veterans Day has become just another shopping day. All the Veterans Day sales ads really anger me at times. Of course, my store is having their own Veterans Day sale which started this past friday and runs through today.
Supposed to get our first snow sometime this afternoon or evening. Predicting anything from less than a half inch to several inches depending on the area. Temps supposed to drop into the 20's by tonight.
Jeanette-I'm not looking forward to black friday since I have to work that day. Don't know what my hours will be yet. My store is opening 8pm Thanksgiving Day. I feel sorry for those who will have their holiday ruined by having to go into work.
Michael-glad to hear you finally got your computer fixed.
Have to go now,but hope to visit again later in the week.

HELLO! HAVE A GOOD WEEK.HUGS!
Good Morning on this beautiful Veterans Day. They did what they could to take care of us, now we need to do what we can for them. It doesn't cost a single penny to pray for them daily and to say "thank you" when we see them on the streets.
Michael......I'm so glad to see you posting regular again, the PC must be working ok again. We are supposed to turn cold here on Tuesday also. Hopefully it will be a short cold spell and warmer temps will return soon.
Carol........Keep smiling, you have many prayers backing you up and for your Mom's healing and complete recovery.
Thanks to all of you for the lovely graphics you are sharing with us. They do dress up an otherwise drab room in much need of some color. At least we never have to worry about running out of wall space.
May the Lord keep us all safe from harm as we enter into this new workweek and continue to provide for the individual needs of His children.
thank you all for the well wishes; mom is recouperating rather quickly at home now. decided to use an arnica gel to reduce the swelling and color of the bruises on her face, neck and arms. she's gaining strength, too. i will be able to reduce my hours when she recovers fully. spending 16 hours a day/night right now...
getting cold here, too. my focus has become very narrow, and my own work has gone to the wayside during this time, but 5 years from now i don't think i'll regret the way i'm currently spending time.
haven't got an original thought in my head, not putting much into word these days.
love to all.

Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
Carol I hope your Mon is doing better.
Linda we have been having nice weather to. I hear it suppose to change tuesday and be colder.
Good Morning Everyone on this beautiful Lord's Day morning. Blue sky and sunshine dominate the Gulf Coasts today and it should be a speck warmer today than yesterday.
In case you haven't noticed the New Member thread back near the top of the topics list, it is rapidly working it's way back down again. We have another new member in our midst, her name is Thedia S. and she comes to us from N.Y.
Please help me in giving her a warm welcome into our fellowship.
Linda......Glad you were able to make it in yesterday. We miss you when you are not here but we are happy for you to be getting in some of those extra hours at work. I hadn't thought much about Black Friday since I can't get out any more, but that is coming up pretty quick. I'm glad I don't have to get out in that mess of shoppers, I would be run over and squashed flat in the first few minutes. lol Don't over-do and take care of yourself.
Michael.......so glad to hear that your PC is ready to go, hope you got a chance to pick it up. Mostly just hope that it is all workable again and won't give you any more troubles.
Carol.......Hope your mom is doing better, it sounds like she might be trying to heal at home rather than a hospital. Those are some long and tiring days, I know. I've been a care giver for my mom when daddy was in the hospital, and then I was daddy's care giver after we lost momma. There were days when I felt like a puppy on a leash, couldn't get beyond the limits of their needs, but looking back on it now, I wouldn't have had it any other way. I will be keeping you both in prayer for her speedy recovery and healing, and for God to lend you His strength to help you and bless you for the care you are giving.
Holly.......Thank you for your prayers for all. Sounds like you had a great day spending time with family and those 2 little grandchildren. Aren't they just the most wonderful things? Mine are never around as often as I would like for them to be.
May the Lord bless each of us and guide us in all our ways and continue to keep us safe in His loving care.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
Carol prayers for your Mom.
I suppose to pick up my other pc today he has its fixed.
to everyone. Carol, hope your mom is ok,give her hugs from me.Have a great day and a good upcoming week.Hugs to you.Praises to Almighty.
spending 16 hours a day with mom till she heals up from her fall...beautiful weekend in omaha. amen, holly, prayers for all families of our membership... loving thoughts, carol
I guess that I drop in in time to tell you hello and goodnite. I was out of town part of the day, took my son,his girlfriend, and my 2 baby grandsons out to eat.So it was a good busy time.Continue to pray for all the loved ones of families in this group.Have a beautiful night.
Good afternoon Jeanette,Michael, and everyone else. Have had 3 sunny days with clear skies in a row. Nice to have a repreive from the rain. Still on the cold side though. Had frost one day last week. Supposed to be in 50's today, but strong wind so felt colder.
Had 3 delivery trucks this week and supposedly 3 next week. Getting more hours at work now. Starting to get in alot of stuff in for Christmas. Also getting tons of stuff for black friday. Running out of room in the stockrooms to store the stuff. The store had to rent one of those PODS to store some of it.
Michael-sorry about your computer problems. Hopefully you can get it fixed.
Have to go so will wish all a blessed weekend.
Good Morning Everyone. It's a beautiful day here in the South, just perfect for football. Arkansas goes up against Mississippi today and I'm pretty sure they will go down in defeat. Maybe next year their new coach will have things figured out and maybe a new quarterback to put those Hogs back on top again. It's past time for them to have a big turn-around.
Carla......Don't know if you will make it in today or not, but you be assured that we will be pulling for Bama today as you take on our LSU team. Don't think there will be any upsets in that game.
Nance.......Just want to thank you again for your new threads, I'm really enjoying them. It was very interesting this morning to learn about Hannah~Anna, etc. Looking forward to the many more to come.
Rahab......Kaya......Holly......Ivonne.....Justice...... Michael.......Jeff........and all of our other members who may be passing through here today, just know that you are missed, you are thought of, and you are in our prayers.
May the Lord continue to bless our group and provide for the needs of it's members. May He watch over us and guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds.

Allo~Jeanette & Friends
It's another TGIF day......Thank God I'm Forgiven. I thank Him today for all that He has brought me up out of and for cleansing me of all those filthy stains that covered my soul. What an awesome God we serve.
Justice.......You have such a sweet and giving heart, and that is what God's love is all about. That is why we are here, to share His love and to love one another in fellowship together.
Michael.......So sorry to hear you are having PC problems again. I hope it's nothing serious and that it can be repaired quickly. We have missed you. Hope you and family are doing well.
Carol.......I love your quotation today. Have you ever thought about this world without Christians in it? When we are all gone, caught up in the rapture, there will be nobody left on earth with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. God's spirit will be removed from the whole world. The havoc that will take place then is unthinkable. I'm so glad that God is with us no matter where we may be. Such a comfort just to know that we are never alone.
Holly.......you are always so full of energy that I'm going to give you the title of our group cheerleader. I admire your positive attitude, even when I know you are dealing with your own longings. I'm sorry that you are homesick, if I could come up north and play in the snow with you, I would, and maybe you could learn to enjoy it. Maybe you should think about moving further to the south where the weather is more tropical, like on the gulf or the Florida coastline or even the California coastline. They have ocean sunsets out there. Personally, you could not pay me enough money to live in California or in N.Y. with such heavy populations and no breathing room. We are in a small town, you can drive from one side to the other in less than 30 minutes.....maybe 45 minutes in heavy traffic. We used to be able to do it in 15 to 20 minutes before Hurricane Katrina. So many people from New Orleans and surrounding area moved up here and increased our population a good bit.
I will attempt to finish Chapter 18 of Matthew today but that is not a promise. Home Health is coming out today to draw blood and run me through the ringer again. LOL. They
do tire me out so much but praise God for giving them to me to help with my needs. They really are a blessing.
May the Lord watch over us and guide us in our thoughts, words and deeds, and keep us safe from all harm.
So many times,I want to give all of you here so many gifts. You know what? The best things that we can give to any one is our love, and the good things ALMIGHTY has for us.So,when I post a Bible verse,or a song,or a picture,it is a gift to you from me.My hoping is that it will make you smile,or it will encourage you some way,or it will help your Spiitual journey in some way.Hugs to you, enjoy our gifts to one another,as well as those from ALMIGHTY.My gift to HIM today is thanks in my prayers, much to thank HIM for,no matter what is bad with life.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day.
I been having pc problems the last two days. I have to tke it and get it rpaired.
amen, holly. love to all,

HI.GOOD MORNING!I AM SO HAPPY THAT THE WEEKEND IS UPON US,AND I HOPE AND PRAY THAT IT IS HAPPY,PEACEFUL,AND THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH LOVED ONES AND HAVE A LITTLE FUN.AS I DROVE LAST NIGHT IT WAS ACTUALLY SNOWING IN SOME OF THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.I CERTAINLY LONG FOR JAMAICA WHEN I SEE THAT!HUGS TO YOU ALL,AND PRAISES TO ALMIGHTY!
I'm up before the sun, it is still overcast and looks like it will be mostly cloudy today. We cooled down to 53 and our high today only in the mid 60's. Tomorrow mornings low should be about 43. This is ony expected to last for a few days and then back into the mid and upper 70's again.
Holly........I can understand you missing that which you grew up with daily. The picture is truly a beautiful sunset. I've never been on the west coast here to see what an ocean sunset looks like, but I have sat up all night on the beach of the east coast and watched beautiful sunrises as that big ball of sunlight eases up out of the horizon of the water and paints the sky with so many shades of color on the clouds. Only our awesome God could paint a canvas like that. Just think of those men and women that get to go up into space. They get to view every sunrise and sunset in time as the see where the darkness joins the light and the light gives way into the darkness. As the earth rotates, they are seeing one continuous sunrise and sunset. That must be a grand sight to behold. With all of the beauty God has given us to enjoy on this earth, can you just imagine how much more beautiful heaven must be? I cannot begin to imagine it. If we are reading the signs of the times correctly, it won't be long before you and I will be ooo'ing and aaah'ing all over heaven together.
Those are some nice thoughts to leave in group this morning. Hope all of you put those thoughts to good use today. May the Lord continue to bless us according to our individual needs and keek us safe from all harm.
This post was modified from its original form on 07 Nov, 6:24
ALMIGHTY BE PRAISED,AND HUGS TO ALL OF YOU.I THOUGHT THAT AN OCEAN SUNSET WOULD BE A NICE THING TO SEE RIGHT NOW.I LOVE AND MISS IT SO MUCH,AND LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT TIME.HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.
Blue sky and sunshine with a 60% chance of rain today. Sure doesn't look like it right now but that can always change. Like I'm really expecting it to, LOL.
Kaya.......it was always fun to have a early off day and get to do some things for yourself and others. However, running errands can be as tiring as working sometimes. Hope today is joyful and smooth for you as well.
Nance.......You sure sound happy with the absence of frost, are you also dreading winter like we are in the states? As much as I love the snow, I wouldn't enjoy it enough to endure those long winter months.
Chapter 18 is finally under way. It sure makes me work harder since Care2 is so messed up with separating the paragraphs. If this keeps up much longer, I might get my fingers and my mind programmed to do with with more ease.
May all of you receive the answers to your prayers, and may the Lord continue to keep us safe in His loving and protective care.
HELLO. I got out of work early today.I was able to run some errands.Hope the rest of your week goes well.Almighty be praised.
Allo~Jeanette, Holly & Friends
Good sunny breaks up here....whooohooo~no frost today
Mostly cloudy, lots of sunshine and about 12-15 degrees warmer than yesterday. We are warming up to the mid 70's for this afternoon.
Linda......Glad you can come in and chat with us again. Yes, I did (sort of) watch the football game last night. We always watch Dancing with the Stars and then watch the new show, Blacklist. But during all the commercials and after Blacklist is over, we switch over to watch the remainder of the game. You can be happy today, your Bears won. It was a good game, pretty evenly matched after both quarterbacks got injured and were out of the game. They fought tooth and nail for every point, back and forth. You are due for some more rain either today or tomorrow but don't complain. Those to the west and northwest of you will be getting snow. It should miss you this time. My stepdaughter lives in the twin cities and they are expecting it to begin about rush hour this afternoon and possibly 4 or 5 inches accumulation.
Holly......You are such a positive influence for this group with your positive motivation. Thank you for spreading that cheerful attitude around for all of us. We should all try to pattern ourselves around the joys of this life instead of letting our burdens bring us down.
The recipe thread is beginning to grow and hopefully more and more of you will share your favorite dishes and desserts with the rest of us.
The 17 Chapter of Matthew was completed yesterday. I'll try to get started on Chapter 18 ASAP. Home Health Care will be in and out during the afternoon so my time is not my own. I will try hard though.
May the Lord bless our group and provide for the needs of His children while continuing to keep us all safe from harm.
Good morning,my precious friends.I do not really celebrate man made holidays, but I do celebrate what is worth celebrating every day.I am reflecting on what I am thankful for this morning.Almighty is good to us.All people have both good and bad come to their life.A happy person is one who focuses on what is good.Thank you,my friends, for being one of those things that I celebrate.
Good afternoon Michael,Jeanette, and everyone else. Can't believe we are into Nov already. Last week we had rain on and off for about 3 days straight. Thankfully was just a steady rain,no heavy downpour or thunderstorms. Did get depressing after awhile. Was so glad when it finally cleared up sunday. Sun even came out for awhile. Today was supposed to get into the 50's. Windy and chilly though. Off today and work rest of the week. However, only working until 3 pm so will have time to stop by the library afterwards. Except for wed, when I have Awana. We get a reprieve from the rain next couple days, then supposed to rain again sometime tuesday.
Jeanette-don't know if you watch the Monday Night football game or not. I never bother since I'm not into football. Counting the days until March when baseball spring training begins. I'm glad the Boston Red Sox won the World Series. The victory was just what the people of Boston needed after the Boston Marathon tragedy. Anyway I'm gettin off track. Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are playing in tonight's game of the week. Hoping for A Bears victory.
Need to checkout my other groups so hopefully will visit again either tuesday or thursday.
This little squirrel and I have a lot in common today. It's a "Bad Hair" day. Was awake at 4am and the temps were in the upper 40's. When I got up (at 7am) it was already 52 and climbing. Should be in the low to mid 70's this afternoon. Lots of blue sky and sunshine.
Michael......Looks like we might not have such a mild winter this year as we did last year. We never actually had any real winter weather until the end of January and then all of February. That was more than enough for me but this year looks like we might get more than that.
Nance.......I really would like to see another big snow in this lifetime but I would want it gone after 2 days. Doesn't take me long to get over the excitement. LOL. When you do get some this year, enjoy it just a little for me too.
Hope all of you had a relaxing and restful weekend. May this new workweek go smoothly for all of you. May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words, and deeds, and keep us safe from all harm.
Good morning everyone. God bless your day. Its cold this morning.
Weatherwise is rain today.
Out west there is snow, so, there may be some of that here, soon.
Blessings to all on a brand new day~
Good Morning Everyone. We woke up to a cool 46 degrees this morning. Didn't see the weather forecast before going to sleep so wasn't expecting that. Surprise! Surprise! And today's high is only expected to be 68. Tomorrow we will be back to our normal 70's again.
Yesterday's football was a disaster in my opinion. Too many games were too onesided. The winners just ran away with the game and the losers were stomped into the ground. Hopeing for better entertainment today. The Saints play the Jets but there are a lot of key Saints players on the injured list. Guess I shouldn't be expecting too much from them.
I will start a recipe thread this morning before retiring to the recliner for the 12 o'clock kickoff. Hope to see a lot of new goodies posted in there for the holidays coming up.
May the Lord bless each of us according to our individual needs and keep us all safe from harm.
Everyone have a blessed Sunday.
Jeanette a recipe thread would be nice.
TO every one else too.
Jeanette, you are too harsh on yourself. She was not offended so easily. Love your post Lady F. Remember all the prayer request . Hugs to all.
Good Morning Everyone.....It's that time again, be sure to change your clocks when you go to bed tonight and tomorrow you will get a big surprise. You will have had an extra hours sleep and feel so wonderful. Of course, if you party an hour later tonight, you will miss out on that extra hour that we all lost last Spring. I for one, want mine back. LOL.
It's a beautiful day here to sit back and watch Auburn whip up on the Razorbacks. I have little hope that they will win another game this year. They are facing the hardest teams for the rest of the season.
I would like to apologize for my post regarding "religion" yesterday afternoon. It was not a good day for me but I didn't realize that it was also reflected in my words as strongly as it was. After re-reading it this morning, I'm very embarrassed. Justice......I was not angry at you, and nor even with Ziggy.......I'm sorry that my sorry attitude was so prominently displayed. I really don't like the word "religion" but that was no excuse. I was really in need of an overdose of love, I guess. Thank all of you for not biting my head off and giving me 40 lashes with a wet spaghetti noodle.
May the Lord guide us in all our thoughts, words and deeds and keep us safe from harm this weekend.
thank you for the edification, jeanne and holly. what justice says reminds me of the verse, "God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him"...
going to be working around here this weekend... love
Ziggy,(David),is Bob Marley's son. Also, for some cultures, religion is so ingrained in everything that is done, such as relationships with Almighty and others, that to comprehend that seperation is diifficult. But I do agree,it is never about rituals. It is about being redeemed because of your relationship witth Jesus,God's Son,the mediator. And,yes,God is love, and that should be how we relate to Him and to each other.I love Almighty, and all of you.
Justice......I do not know who Ziggy Marley is, but if Love is his Religion, he can have it. We, as born again Christians do not have a religion. We have a relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians......6:19 & 20
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Communing with one another is a relationship.......religion is doing deeds or rituals. I never want anything to do with religion again.
But you are right.......God is Love......and we are commanded to love one another, even as Christ has loved us.
This post was modified from its original form on 01 Nov, 15:46
...If God is love...then,as Ziggy Marley sayed,"LOVE IS MY RELIGION".
Some seem to think that destruction is power. That is not power.Any idiot can destroy things....or people,as many govts past and present have shown.War is destructive,it even hurts the winning side,if you can say there is a winning side. There must be inner peace before there can be peace with others. When you are always fearful of others,or angry with them, there can never be peace within you,or with others. How do you alleviate that fear or anger?????? Jesus/Yeshua sayed that "PERFECT LOVE DRIVES OUT ALL FEAR."There is that word, love, again. If you love a person, you take the time to under stand them. When you under stand them, there is no need to fear any more.May be love is more powerful than they think. As I stated previously, destruction is not power,at least not as much power as creativity.....The creativity of Almighty to create the universe, now that is power.Love is the only thing stronger than hate.It is not a naive notion, LOVE , it is vital to our survival.
We are under a dense fog advisory until 10am, however, at 9:15am the sun finally popped out of the clouds and blue sky is taking over our overcast skies. The Lord was good to us yesterday. Even during the tornado watch we never heard as much as a single clap of thunder. It was a wonderful day of rain, peaceful and relaxing. The storms were kept far to our north.
The Lord has sent us another new member, please take a minute or two and go to the New Member thread and help make Jessica T. feel welcome.
Nance.......love your baskets. Hope that your weather clears up as ours has.
Michael.......you are most welcome. It was a fight to the finish with Care2 not working up to full capacity but the job got completed. Hope that your rains only last for a day like ours did. We had 81 degrees yesterday. Today's high is only to be in the upper 70's.
Another month has been retired and in 7 more weeks we will be having Christmas dinner. I'm thinking about starting a Recipe Thread for sharing our favorite food items with each other through the holidays. I'll try to decide before the day is over.
May the Lord bless our group and continue to provide for the individual needs of His children. Have a blessed day.
WWe have been under a fog advisory until 10pm but about 3 minutes ago (9:15am) the sun finally broke through and it is a beautiful morning. Our rains cleared out about dinner time last evening and the Lord was merciful to keep the storms far to our north. We never heard a single clap of thunder, even under the tornado watch.
