I am excited about this group as I love poetry although I prefer reading others' work rather than writing my own. I haven't written a poem since high school. (long time ago!) I enjoy free verse mostly and I also love the classic works. Annabel Lee by Poe is one of my favorites as is this one, whose author escapes me now but it goes like this: The Animal I wanted Couldn't get into the world.
