Hello there. I used to be very active in helping in the community. Volunteered alot for the American Red Cross about seven years ago. I have two beautiful young daughters who have took up most of my time and have limited my time to give to others lately. I have been waiting for a time to meet others around the world and to do my part in making this world better for some time now. Hope to get to know others and team up together on projects soon.

Hello there,
My name is Lorraine - wont add my age - but can tell you I`m a mum of four, the eldest of whom is 29 years old (others are 20, 19 & 12 years) So it gives you an idea.
Yesterday I was just a member - today (and thanks Erez) seems like I`m now a Co-Host as well.
I live in the U.K. amongst the beauty of the Cumbria countryside, namely on the West Coast - so we benefit from both countryside & shore.
My interests, in addition to family, are walking, music (panpipes, instrumental, Elvis & 60s) Gardening & basically anything to do with Creation and nature.
I am a christian (or so I was baptised) but NOT (and I would enthasise this) I am NOT a "Bush... BACs.... let`s declare war on our neighbours christian" On the contrary I am very ANTI-war. I dont necessarilly share all the views of my christian counter-parts whilst I believe every individual should use the intelligence that our Creator gave us in order to search for TRUTH.... and should NOT just accept all the many man-made doctorines that have obviously been invented by those who had agendas of their own to satisfy.
As against all that I DO believe we are living in `end days` and whether one chooses to believe that from whatever holy text, book or vision of Creator you believe to be right.... OR whether you choose to believe it from the many reports made by Scientists.... then rest assured, its my belief that our time on this earth is now limited, and will be shortened.
Hi there my name is Charith, I'm a wildlife film-maker originally from the UK, but based out here in Asia, as asian wildlife is my particular focus. I'm an environmental science graduate, but decided that instead of being stuck in labs and blinded by statistics for the rest of my life - I should get out there and convey the message of environmental awareness and conservation by getting to the audience that matters the most - the young generation, who'll inherit all our mistakes in the years to come -and will hopefully know how to tackle them in a more constructive and forward-thinking manner.

Welcome to the group Charith.
That`s a really practical way of doing things. Unfortunately and unless mankind changes his path in life, I fear there just wont be those "years to come" Like many things right now, too many ppl are NOT taking G.W. seriously.
By the way, if you want to take a quick look at the kind of work I'm doing over here in Asia, take a quick visit to: www.rangerstations.tv
There are short clips and field notes for a series I started a year or two ago to promote the work of conservation programs around the Asia region. Some success stories, many sad ones - but it gives you an idea of how committed many conservationists are out here, inspite of little funding, almost no government support and hardly any media coverage.
