I am so jealous. Living in WI, it's a little difficult to get there. I do have ny dvr set up to record the whole thing, though. I expect full reports back from all of you lucky enough to go!

On July 7, more than 2 billion people will join together to watch the Live Earth concerts and demonstrate to our leaders that the time has come to solve the climate crisis.
Wherever you are that day, you can be part of the action. At events around the world, we are going to convert the potential energy of Live Earth into a global campaign. In thousands of homes, people will invite their friends and neighbors to watch the concerts and join the movement to solve the climate crisis.
NBC will be televising Live Earth (and even more extensive coverage will be available live on MSN) so turning your house into a Live Earth venue is easy. Will you commit to organize a Live Earth house party on July 7th? The parties will be fun and they'll make a difference.
I am holding a small party at my house. Just friends and family since my house isn't very big. No one has replied to my invite on-line but 6 have called to confirm that they will be there. Should end up with about 12-15 people. Can't wait! Am keeping it very simple. Everyone is bringing a dish and I have a freezer half full of hamburgers from our local farmer to throw on the grill. Will probably pick up fresh fruits at the local vegetable stand also. This is the most exciting event I have ever been able to take part in!
“We are going to ask the two billion people estimated to be in the audience Saturday to take a seven-point pledge that is designed to change behavior and also to put pressure on political leaders in every country across the ideological spectrum,” he said. “We really have to solve this.”
Although all the major candidates in both the Republican and Democratic parties have expressed concerns about global warming, Gore said climate change must rank high on the next president’s list of priorities.
“It’s 500 days off,” Gore said of the Democrats’ convention. “If I do my job, then all of them will make this their top issue. None of them have yet.”

No TV, at work, then clink on MSN's hubports for the Live Earth Concerts Worldwide, and cruize around the world & watch, listen. Much more, short films, information etc., on the sites.
i COULn't get logged in and had to get help from c2, etc. to get back in, I don't watch tv, so been watching it on and off as able/up to it on the Web.
I think we will look back on this event and see it as a real push in momentum for our mission of the battle against global warming and pollution of the environment. Never before have so many people come together for the environment. It was the biggest music event in history, but it was also the biggest environmental event in history. The young viewers will never forget some of the messages. While the event won't change our society over-night, especially older people set in their ways, Live Earth was a wonderful small step in the right direction.
Kudos to all of the awesome short-film makers who educated the audience with so many important facts.
Kudos to the band AFI for mentioning their vegetarianism and veganism.
Kudos to Melissa Etheridge for her Al Gore salute and for bringing to tears to our eyes during her passionate performance.
Kudos to all of the bands and musicians and celebrities who took part. This really will matter to the young generation.
Kudos to Al Gore for his persistence in getting this message out to everyone.
Melissa Etheridge was outstanding!! She has such passion, it is electric. The short films were extremely well made, educational and fun. This event will hopefully jump-start some serious effort on the part of those who - up to now - were fence-sitting or didn't care or were just blindly unaware.

My favorite was The Police...no James Blunt...no Cat Steveens...wait... they all kicked ***. I hope everyone will use the messages of the psa's and keep using them!
The concerts were unbelievable! What a great day. I loved the way they got the messages out about globalwarming. Al Gore was just fantastic and Melissa - WOW! When she said she met a man who had a dream and then introduced Al Gore, it brought tears to my eyes.
I was a little disappointed not to see some of the really big names in there. Where were Billy Joel, Elton John, the Eagles (or at least the enviromentalist, Don Henley)?
However, that aside, it was great to be able to watch it all day on Bravo. My party went off pretty well and I got 8 people to sign the pledge.
