2] we need assistance in expanding to secondlife.com -- if any of you utilise that network, please contact amordad, one of Whale Call Cafe's hosts

3] printing -- we need business cards for our international agents- we have not been able to find a donor printer to supply cards for staff and supporters

4] we need dedicated people to host and monitor Whale Call profiles in other networks -- if you use another network, like myspace, or others, and could monitor a profile, let us know

5] sister city support-- do you live in a city or state that has a recriprocal relationship with Japan? let us know,and we will send you an action kit

6] i am considering one international speaking tour within 2007 - we need an international organiser to achieve this vision [ and probably some sponsorship as well ]

7] people with spare time to put to oceanic conservation to assist our team with various web related projects

8] video and music clip compilation for various conservation projects

whoohoo ~ you know how you can google, say from my recent experience, blood on my boots, and i got a near pageful of where our clip was ~ they're not there now but if you google stewart guthries boots then you get his site ~ and i googled in whale call dreaming the other nite and got near a pageful of that clip, at WCI etc ~ so what if we can get our petition/s on the net, in under whale call...petitions ~huh?

Boris, i can help in many ways by incorporating alot of WhaleCalls goals etc in KWF, such as educational. i could speak as a volunteer for Whale Call throughout the UK to help promote you etc and  distribute posters etc etc. I'm sure there is many things I can do to help you so jut throw some ideas at me.

Business cards...yeah, Beata and I have got one, it wasnt too expensive but at the moment there hasn't been any inputs just outputs. Beata and I will only be using recycled mterial for our projects etc etc so it is being a real struggle at the moment.

What we are planning to do is have stalls and workshops with educational material. We could also display Whale Call material. If you send me information I could print out some stuff.

I could do some drawings?

I have been posting up links to your petitions on our site to help direct more peoplpe to your site and take the action. Hope that will help a little bit.

Have you looked into www.vistaprint.com - do a search for designs -- "whale"  - there are a few to choose from.  I have personal cards with the whale fluke w/ blue background.   I have used Vistaprint for many years.  If you don't mind the vistaprint advertising, you can pretty much get the cards free- or very cheap.

there has been no resolution to the card issue -- i havent had time to chase it -- 18 months ago we had a laptop donated to whale call so necessary graphic work could be achieved -- my old recycled desktop got retired -- then a couple of weeks ago a drink got knocked on the laptop -- it dies -- the hard drive has been retrieved, so no data was lost, repairs could cost up to 700 bucks -- and without a laptop, much work can not be achieved.

it would be nice if someone could find a sponsor to supply necessary computer equipment for the use of whale call staff -- or even an isp that would donate broadband/wifi/mobile net communication facilities

meanwhile we run, as we say here, on the smell of an oily rag --

the day after i posted the wish relating to the laptop, i got a call from rick -- he had got it working again -- it seems to be fine now -- just needed a few weeks drying out

If I could get you a mermaid I would. I was so glad to hear what all you needed. That was one of my biggest questions. I am going to do what I can on this end. How about other things like food, equitment for the boats are other things you might need? I am sure you have put a lot of money into what you do. I know you also stay real busy. Take a rest now and then so you do not burn out. I am sure it can get really exhausting. We need you around. Feel free to let everyone know what other things you might need. One day when you free all our whales, you would make a very good spokesmen around the world for our whales. I also think you would make a good teacher, for our children around the world. They will be taking over our whales. So, I am going to get busy and start spreading the word around here. Good luck Tony, my heart is with you and the whales. My grand-daughters say thank you too. I have been teaching them about our oceans. Know such thing as learning to young. I will be getting back to you soon.

but it was a flying visit - i heard him, but was on the pc doing some updating with my butterfly survey of wadalba - pamela, thanks for your concern - all ship equipment we come across will be donated to sea shepherd at this stage - food is a problem to import, but we should be collecting some type of food support for the next years whaling season if it happens - the politics of whaling is doing backflips at the moment - its unstable, and compromises are being considered to appease the japanese financers of this genocidal industry - but we need to keep keeping on - whales cannot live in a polluted ocean - nor can sardines - so a lot of our work here is geared to ensuring the ocean does not get more polluted by educating people on all sorts of issues effecting the ocean.
so on friday, tony and i are taking the whale call bus to nundle, a historic gold mining town in western nsw - to the 'go for gold' festival.
i have volunteered to assist the gold panning - they get a few tonnes of dirt, salt it with an ounce of local gold, and sell buckets to the festival goers to pan - any gold is kept by the panner.
now gold fever is hitting again due to the thousand dollar an ounce price - and a few of the people i will be talking to will be going out looking for it in the bush, streams and rivers.
they will be going out with a conciousness that what the do in their persuit may effect whales - we will also be lobbying the local council to adopt a whale under the ifaw humpback program, and educating both visitors and gold miners on whale conservation and pollution.

we have a small boat to do research in the ocean fed lakes we live on here in wyong - tuggerah lakes - google it -- it is a source of mass soluble polution to the ocean - if we can slow down the polution getting into the lake, by research, we are helping the whales.
the boat motor is broke - dont know the repair costs, but with parts we could fix it ourselves - i will ask rick, our southern oceans director, to get a price on its repair.
one other thing is a digital camera capable of reasonable telephoto shots - if you have a look in the whale call site photo gallery, you will notice the equipment we use is great for close ups, but not so good with whale pics - when we are out whale watching, there is a limit in distance we can approach them - and the cam we have will not produce good close up pics of the whales - that sort of equipment we have difficulty in saving enough money to purchase, and sponsorship is absent -

I went ahead and created a Myspace page for Whale Call Inc. I still need to put a lot of info on there but I have a good start. I am going to create a net working profile on Beliefnet.com also. I use to submitt articles there all the time. I was so surprised how many people don't realize how whales are in danger.
