Whaledreamers /Indigenous peoples connection to the sacred Soul of the Whale August 03, 2009 4:08 PM

Indegenous Whaledreamers/Jullian Lennon Documentary Teresa M. Group History 2 hrs ago | Whaledreamers/Indigenous peoples in Austrailia Whaledreamers are connected to something called Dream time connection, where they become One with the Soul of the Whale It was in the making of over 10 yrs to complete this amazing documentary This tribe of the Mirning, believe that the whales are there little brothers and sisters, they sing ancient songs in a circle and do a ritual circle dances to the ancestors, very similiar to the dance of the Wovoka and the ghostdancers. It was so amazing to see the connection between man and whales, knowing we are truly One.The Mirning tribe unfortunately were taken from the land they lived on and were stewards of, and put into camps and were taken from the Whales. They lost there dreams and there hopes and all the connection to the dreams of the whales Soul.During this video you will see the police and the government escorting them away from there Dreams.Dream time connection is where the whales meet Land and Sea.The whales came from another galaxy,to bring to earth, harmony and Peace, they came from the stars as the 7 sisters chased them, into the Sea.They hold all eternal knowledge and ancient Wisdom. The mirning tribe had children stolen, and the government did bomb testing on there lands and everything became radio active,no good soil, no water, no fruit no plants could survive. The mirning tribe was wiped out and thought to be extinct by 1956.But yet few did survive and became strong in there dreams with the whales.1993 whales recovered after millions were killed for greed. Now they continue to have dream time connection with the whales and they say, the white whale has come, it is an Omen, for all mankind to care for one another and our Mother Earth.During this ceremony 2 white ravens came, and one white whale.Giving us the prophecy to take care, live in harmony and Peace, before it is too late.Over the past few years the songs of the whales have been changing. The whales lift the vibration of the planet and open up mans heart chakras, now the Navy is putting strange sounds in our Oceans and the dolphins and whales are beaching themselves.Could it be that they are purposely destroying our ancient wisdom to keep us enslaved, and lost?We are the ones we have been waiting for so now is the time, to bring all hearts to One Heartbeat, share, live thru love of one anothers Dreams, with Nature and our great Hashi Inkba Sun Father/Mother Moon.Without the dolphins and whales,we will all become extinct,2 leggeds, wingeds and 4 leggeds,Hushtaliat Ish Piukpolishke/Great Spirit may you bless us,help us to become as One,our hearts are in slumber, yakoke host bulletin

Have a look at what this dolphin is saying February 17, 2009 10:43 AM

Have a look at what this dolphin is saying

In an important breakthrough in deciphering dolphin language, researchers in Great Britain and the United States have examined not the sound, but the shape dolphin ultrasound makes in the water.

The key to the work is the CymaScope - a new instrument that reveals detailed structures within sounds, allowing their architecture to be studied pictorially. Using high definition audio recordings of dolphins, the research team, headed by English acoustics engineer, John Stuart Reid, and Florida-based dolphin researcher, Jack Kassewitz, has been able to image - for the first time - the imprint that a dolphin sound makes in water.

Kassewitz, of the Florida-based dolphin communication research project SpeakDolphin.com said: “There is strong evidence that dolphins are able to 'see' with sound, much like humans use ultrasound to see an unborn child in the mother's womb. The CymaScope provides our first glimpse into what the dolphins might be 'seeing' with their sounds."

Certain sounds made by dolphins have long been suspected to represent language but the complexity of the sounds has made their analysis difficult. Previous techniques, using the spectrograph, display cetacean only as graphs of frequency and amplitude. The CymaScope captures actual sound vibrations imprinted in the dolphin's natural environment-water, revealing the intricate visual details of dolphin sounds for the first time.

CymaGlyph patterns may resemble what the creatures perceive from their own returning sound beams and from the sound beams of other dolphins.

Reid said that the technique has similarities to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs. “Jean-Francois Champollion and Thomas Young used the Rosetta Stone to discover key elements of the primer that allowed the Egyptian language to be deciphered. The CymaGlyphs produced on the CymaScope can be likened to the hieroglyphs of the Rosetta Stone. Now that dolphin chirps, click-trains and whistles can be converted into CymaGlyphs, we have an important tool for deciphering their meaning

Dolphin and Whale Consciousness December 08, 2008 3:29 PM

The collective consciousness of the dolphins and whales is multidimensional, interplanetary and highly sophisticated. This vibration is different from any other consciousness on earth. Whales are believed to have been descended from land mammals, and 60 million years ago returned to the sea. I have found that this energy is the clearest and most supportive to our human consciousness. Theirs is a serene energy. Part of this is because they're in water and we as humans are made up of water. The healing energy of the dolphins and whales is very soothing and pure. On Earth, they remain among the most powerful collective consciousnesses, as yet unaffected by human influences.

I use the dolphin and whale consciousness to assist me when I work with a client who has a negative energy pattern which has tapped into a negative collective consciousness. I call in the dolphin and whale consciousness to spin clear nets of light around my client. (Using clear light is also important because it's closer to creative energy and keeps the dualities of white and dark light out of the picture.) This dolphin and whale energy separates the negative collective consciousness which allows my client to change his or her vibration. With the collective consciousness of dolphins and whales, "hate" has no charge, therefore making it much easier to transform and effect whatever consciousness I'm encountering. The energy of the dolphins and whales is "clean" energy. It is non-resistant -- there are no ideas around it. Therefore, it is comforting and I use it in stopping entities or energies from moving, shifting, leaving, or changing until the client is ready.

If you are led to use the dolphins and whales as part of your release work, know it is important for you to really align with their energy. Plan to swim with them; keep photos of them in your home or healing room. Take time to meditate with them and become accustomed to their energy.

Dolphins Sing 'Batman' Theme November 03, 2008 1:37 AM

Dolphins sing 'Batman' theme

Dolphins
Dolphins are the only mammals other than humans to recognise rhythms and reproduce them vocally (Image: iStockphoto)
Scientists have taught dolphins to combine both rhythm and vocalisations to produce music, resulting in an extremely high-pitched, short version of the Batman theme song.

The findings, outlined in two studies, are the first time that nonhuman mammals have demonstrated they can recognise rhythms and reproduce them vocally.

"Humans are sensitive to rhythms embedded in sequences of sounds, but we typically consider this skill to be part of processing for language and music, cognitive domains that we consider to be uniquely human," says Professor Heidi Harley, lead author of both studies.

"Clearly, aspects of those domains are available to other species."

Learning to sing

Harley, who is associate professor of social sciences at the New College of Florida in Sarasota, says that both studies tested dolphins at Disney's Epcot Center in Florida.

The researchers first had an adult male bottlenose dolphin position itself in front of an underwater sound projector, called a hydrophone, that produced six different 14 kiloherz, 4 second rhythms.

The dolphin was rewarded for performing a certain behaviour to each rhythm. For example, when rhythm 1 played, it waved its pectoral fin and when rhythm 2 played, it tossed a ball.

The various rhythms were played at different frequencies and tempos to ensure the dolphin was recognising rhythms instead of just frequencies or sound durations.

Another adult male was trained to produce similar rhythms using a pneumatic switch, essentially a small, air-filled ball connected to a computer that then generated sounds whenever the dolphin pressed the switch.

"The dolphin was reinforced for producing a specific rhythm to a specific object," says Harley.

"For example, when we presented him with a Batman doll, he received a fish for producing a specific rhythm, in this case, a short sound and then a long one."

"If you recall the original Batman TV series musical intro you'll probably remember the way they sang 'Bat-maaaaaaaan'," she adds.

The dolphin spontaneously vocalised to the rhythms, so the researchers started to reward the male with fish whenever it matched its 'singing' to the rhythms.

By the end of the studies, the scientists could show an object, such as the Batman doll, which represented a certain rhythm-vocalisation combo to the dolphin, and it would create the correct sounds both vocally and using the switch.

Batmaaaaaaan

Gordon Bauer, associate professor of psychology at the New College of Florida who did not work on the studies, says, "This is the first report, to my knowledge, of a nonhuman mammal's ability to discriminate rhythmic patterns."

But Bauer doubts that dolphins realise they are producing what people consider 'music'.

"I think music is a human construct," he says. "I doubt that it has pertinence to animals, although the elements of music, such as pitch, time, timbre, rhythm, etc, may be incorporated into animal communication."

Harley agrees, and hopes the everyday vocalisations of dolphins will be analysed in terms of their rhythmic content.

In the near future, she and her team are planning to test the dolphins on their ability to recognise recordings of their own rhythms by having them associate their own sound creations with identifying objects similar to the Batman doll.

Shamanism and the Medicine Path October 25, 2008 11:31 PM

Dolphins

The bufeo colorado, pink dolphin (Inia geoffrensis), is considered a powerful shaman, which casts spells when it surfaces, perhaps because its blowhole makes blowing and whistling sounds similar to those made by a shaman. Much dolphin behavior supports belief in their intelligence. They are curious, and they will swim near boats and approach swimmers in the water. They will chase a school of fish, allowing fishermen to go upstream and set their nets; the dolphins will then remain on the outside of the nets, easily capturing any fish that escape — a curiously symbiotic relation between humans and dolphins.

Mestizos firmly believe that dolphins seek sexual intercourse with human beings. A menstruating women in a boat is in particular danger; a dolphin will ram her boat and overturn it, dragging her to the river bottom for sexual intercourse, where the woman may drown. Dolphins also turn into human form in order to seduce women and to make children that will later serve them. They appear primarily as fair handsome men dressed in dapper white linen suits and Italian fedoras, who attend parties, buying drinks for everyone, and stealing or seducing women amid the noise, confusion, and dancing. An infatuated woman may disappear, having thrown herself into the river out of her desire to stay forever with her dolphin lover. Thus, too, if a young woman is impregnated and the father is unknown, the pregnancy is often blamed on a nocturnal liaison with a dolphin, who presumably lured the maiden into the water.

But, just as chullachaquis cannot hide their deformed foot, dolphins cannot disguise their blowhole, and always appear wearing a hat; and they will not drink, since being drunk may break the spell and reveal their true identity. Such an interloper may be frightened away by removing his hat and revealing that he is really a dolphin.

In line with the attributed sexuality of the dolphin is the belief that female dolphin genitals are the same as — indeed, more desirable than — those of human females. It is said that no woman can compare with a female dolphin in the passion or skills of sex. Stories are told of men who began to copulate with female dolphins, and found it so pleasurable they could not stop, until first their semen and then their blood was completely drained. Don Agustin Rivas tells how, when he was thirteen years old, he in fact had sex with a dolphin that had jumped into his boat — a dolphin, he says, “with small breasts and pubic hair just like a woman.” He thought the dolphin had jumped into his boat in order to have sex with him; he had heard “that dolphins could be more sexually gratifying than women,” so he took off his pants and had sex with it.

Dolphins are not hunted for food, but for body parts. If a man wears the ear of a dolphin on his wrist, he will enjoy large and lasting erections; the vulva of a dolphin tied on the upper arm makes one irresistible to women; hanging a dolphin tooth around the neck of a child will cure diarrhea; a powder made from the pulverized eye, fat, teeth, or penis of the dolphin may be used to seduce women. A sorcerer can attack a woman using the penis of a dolphin, calling the spirit of the dolphin to inflict on the woman a voracious sexual appetite, which she then alleviates with every available man. The slaughter of river dolphins for these purposes may be endangering the species.

The sexual reputation of dolphins is not entirely unearned. Take a look at this:

WWII Dolphin Prophecy

WWII story of a man who is rescued by dolphins. The man believes the dolphins communicated with him and spoke of how humans had made a mess of things and also said they (dolphins) are related to a man like being that would come to save the earth.

DOLPHIN RESCUERS?
by T. Stokes
- 25 Mar 2007

You are probably aware of how the Japanese nation catch and kill dolphins, and its attendant cruelty, while watching the whaling on T V, I remembered a strange story from my boyhood which I would like to share with you, and would value your opinions.

My father who was on the warships during W.W.II saw some strange and awful things Which disturbed him the rest of his life, he never knew what to make of this tale and neither do I He was talking of the dolphins that would swim behind the ships and play jumping in and out of the water, and the men would throw them left over food scraps.

Suddenly the ship was conscious of an air attack as a huge plume of water shot up right beside the boat, throwing a man who was watching the dolphins into the sea.

They could not risk the ship by waiting to pick up the man so they left leaving him miles from anywhere, to the mercy of the open sea.

The attack was like many at that time spasmodic and nasty, but repairs were attempted at sea and the name of the man overboard was included with names of the dead, at a small prayer meeting held later by the ships padre on deck.

Some weeks later the ship was again passing the area on the return voyage, when the ship was notified to pick up a man who wanted to return to his ship, and my father who was one of the ships doctors was told to stand by to check him fit for service.

My father and the crew were amazed when the man who fell overboard appeared back on ship and told a remarkable story.

He claimed that the school of dolphins behind the ship took care of him and helped keep him afloat, these dolphins took it in turns to nudge him from underneath, and he held on to them, and drifting in and out of consciousness, realised they were talking to him, and said they were taking him to the safety of land.

The ships captain whispered to my father that the man was obviously just confused from his time in the sea, but my father said we have just given him a clean bill of health mentally and physically.

The man went onto say the creatures of the sea were not pleased that man had made such a mess of things, and that dolphins were related to a man like being far out in the universe, who would have to come and help save the planet.

The captain said “that’s it lock him up till we get to port“ My father and the other doctors remained silent, but noticed whenever the confused man was allowed to go to the rear of the ship for his daily 30 minute exercise, the dolphins would go mad with excitement.

Now there are similar stories which one can read up on, particularly the resemblance in skin texture to what are called the Little Greys, but my father never knew quite what to make, of the man who was saved by the dolphins

anonymous Humpback whales have brain cells also found in humans October 20, 2008 2:08 PM

http://www.scienceblog.com/cms/humpback-whales-have-brain-cells-also-found-in-humans-12068.html

Cetaceans, the group of marine mammals that includes whales and dolphins, have demonstrated remarkable auditory and communicative abilities, as well as complex social behaviors. A new study published online November 27, 2006 in The Anatomical Record, the official journal of the American Association of Anatomists, compared a humpback whale brain with brains from several other cetacean species and found the presence of a certain type of neuron cell that is also found in humans. This suggests that certain cetaceans and hominids may have evolved side by side. The study is available online via Wiley InterScience at http://www.interscience.wiley.com/journal/ar.

Although the biology of the humpback whale is well understood, there have been virtually no studies published on its brain composition, leaving an open question as to how brain structure may relate to the extensive behavioral and social abilities of this mammal. Although brain to body mass ratio, a rough measure of intelligence, is lower for baleen whales such as the humpback compared to toothed whales such as dolphins, the structure and large brain size of baleen whales suggests that they too have a complex and elaborate evolutionary history.

Patrick R. Hof and Estel Van der Gucht of the Department of Neuroscience at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY, examined the brain of an adult humpback whale and compared it with the brain of a fin whale (another baleen species) and brains from several toothed whales, including three bottlenose dolphins, an Amazon river dolphin, a sperm whale, two beluga whales, a killer whale and several other whale and dolphin species. They found that the humpback cerebral cortex, the part of the brain where thought processes take place, was similar in complexity to smaller sized cetaceans such as dolphins. The large area of cortex found in these mammals is thought to be related to acoustic capabilities and the current study shows that it is organized into a system of core and belt regions. However, substantial variability was found between the cell structure of the cortex in humpbacks compared to toothed whales. The authors suggest that these differences may indicate differences in brain function and behavior in aquatic species that are not yet understood.

One feature that stood out in the humpback whale brain was the modular organization of certain cells into "islands" in the cerebral cortex that is also seen in the fin whale and other types of mammals. The authors speculate that this structural feature may have evolved in order to promote fast and efficient communication between neurons. The other notable feature was the presence of spindle cells in the humpback cortex in areas comparable to hominids and in other areas of the whale brain as well. Although the function of spindle neurons is not well understood, they are thought to be involved in cognitive processes and are affected by Alzheimer's disease and other debilitating brain disorders such as autism and schizophrenia. Spindle neurons were also found in the same location in toothed whales with the largest brains, which suggests that they may be related to brain size.

The authors note that spindle neurons probably first appeared in the common ancestor of hominids about 15 million years ago, since they are observed in great apes and humans, but not in lesser apes and other primates; in cetaceans they evolved earlier, possibly as early as 30 million years ago. It is possible that they were present in the ancestors of all cetaceans, but were retained only in those with the largest brains during their evolution. It may also be that they evolved several times independently in the two cetacean suborders; part of this process may have taken place at the same time as they appeared in the ancestor of great apes, which would be a rare case of parallel evolution.

"In spite of the relative scarcity of information on many cetacean species, it is important to note in this context that sperm whales, killer whales, and certainly humpback whales, exhibit complex social patterns that included intricate communication skills, coalition-formation, cooperation, cultural transmission and tool usage," the authors state. "It is thus likely that some of these abilities are related to comparable histologic complexity in brain organization in cetaceans and in hominids."

The authors conclude: "Cetacean and primate brains may be considered as evolutionary alternatives in neurobiological complexity and as such, it would be compelling to investigate how many convergent cognitive and behavioral features result from largely dissimilar neocortical organization between the two orders." They also suggest that the current study provides a framework for further investigations into the brain and behavior of cetaceans, which are naturally elusive, poorly documented and often endangered.
