Let us see how many of us are in Austin and if we would like to have a group get together. Once we find out how many would like that, we will begin to work out the details.

I would like us to have a group get together, who else?

That sounds nice, but unfortunately I do not use the bus system....and my car retired a year ago, so I am without my own tranportation for now. But things could change by the time you all plan a meeting time.  See ya on the flip side...lol  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

For now we are just seeing how much interest there is. So far looks like 3 of us are interested. I suspect that soon there will be a few more. Next step will be to work out the logistics and find something workable for all that are interested. I'm willing to bet that with very little trouble we can get something feasible and acceptable to all that are interested.  [ send green star]

Dixie, I'm in the same boat with out personal transportation. However, I have no qualms on calling on my daughter for her to be a chauffer when the need arises.

I bet I could work some out with her so that those of us on foot can still get to a meeting place.

I preference day-time, I care for an alzheimer man; it is where I am staying.... he would be fun to have along, he is a gentleman and a war veteran (yep, everyday I live in the 40's...) only, if I cannot get someone to sit for me... I will discuss this with Woodrow when we talk!!!

I'm all for it, and my preference would be on a weekend day or night.  I work from early morning until mid-evening through the week, but we all know there's plenty of places around here to gather for a group meeting. 

LOOKING FORWARD TO IT, WOODROW.  Name the place, time, etc.  I'll suggest getting together at some place like Mother Egan's Irish Pub, good food, good music, and a great atmosphere.

Count me in!!!!

Yes we do need to have some sort of centralized communication. However I have no desire with putting anybody into the posistion of having to give out their phone number to strangers. So if anyone has any questions here is my cell phone Number: 512-905-4996

Sounds good to me. I do have a car, it runs but, sure by the time this is planned and a date has been set, I will have it legal. just needs a small problem taken care of. and then off to the inspection station. Also anyone that would need a ride from North Austin just let me know. sure depending on where it will be held I can pick up a few on the way. at least 4 + myself.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
