Ike will be passing to our east later today. We are projected to be in the 1-4 inch rain band with winds of 40-50 MPH. We have already seen the wind shift with some light sprinkles.

Since Ike, we have been bone dry in terms of moisture. The plants had a brief late blooming from IKE and are now back in drought remission. Watering is not the same as a good rain soaking.
Thanks to my co-workers, I caught their flu! Mine was not nearly as severe as theirs but bad enough to affect my mental capability. I am on my third run through but it is not nearly as bad as the first or second bouts. I tried doing some private e-mail correspondances the other day and had 15 spell check corrections.
We hit the OT at work and I pulled in a nice 10 hours in the past week gibing up last Saturday. I am as caught up as I can be and will have a series of turnarounds the next two weeks where I will have to check things in and turn them right around getting them out the door the same day...
We had a major overnight moth visitation this past week and I had to do a smudging of the computer area to rebalance the energies. It took three days to relocate everything that had been moved. Some people have no consideration of other people's property. It also took several days for the animals to settle down and get back into their routines.
With the OT and flu, my projects were put on hold the past two weekends. I'll be back up in the tree later this afternoon as parts of it are beginning to crack from the drought.
Walk in peace, love and beauty
Nice to hear from you Ross watch yourself in the tree and don't go all ape on us !
hugs Jenna
The past month gas been rough physically and mentally. A mild concussion, a broken toe and this weelemd a broken toe nail. The tree project is within a few hours of topping out. I need a bit of ground assistance to try to preserve as much of our Mimosa tree as possible. We fought long and hard last summer battling the Mimosa webworm which wiped out nearly a third of the tree. The remaining dead tree is directly above the Mimosa.
My PC and Care2 seem to be getting along now. I am finally starting to receive some of my daily digests from several groups plus e-mail notifications from other group postings. My Care2 inbox contained over 1,000 e-mails so bear with me a bit while I do some massive catchup. With the upcoming elections, my personal e-mail exceeded over 800 e-mails averaging 40 or so per day. BTW, I have already voted, taking advantage of early voting in our area.
Walk in Peace, Love, and Beauty
I know what you mean Ross ( with troubles ) I have had to deal with a massive flood and interuptins on C2, I will be busy for quite awhile with reno's and other stuff that has to be seen too, very exhausting.....TTYL Love Jenna
