I can remember as a child asking my Sunday School teacher if animals went to heaven and he said he didn't think so because animals don't have souls well being an animal lover that upset me but as i got older i knew God wouldn't put the animals on earth and just forget about them after they died.
It is heartbreaking to lose a pet as they become one of the family so it is like losing a child, it is a comfort to know that one day we will be reunited with them again as i know God has a special place in heaven for all his creatures.
Over the years i have sadly lost many pets but my most recent was Holly who was just a 6 week old kitten when she arrived at our house one christmas eve 17 years ago as a present from my eldest son, she passed away December 11th 2005

I had to bury my 'Toto' this past Sunday. She would have been 18 yrs. old in a few weeks. The vet wanted to "put her down" but she was not in pain so we brought her home. Told the vet that I hoped no one decided to treat me like that just because I was old. She actually lasted at least 6 mo. months after that. We knew she was 'going' early Sun. morning and spent most of the day holding her. She would still purr when we pet her, so I really don't think she was in any pain, the only way we actually knew she was 'gone' was because the purring stopped (she spent most the time sleeping).

"Toto" born April '88 left us on March 5th of '06. Always a beloved member of our family.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
I DO BELIEVE WE WILL BE TOGETHER SOME DAY! YOUR IN MY PRAYERS..........

I certainly believe that our wonderful caring God would have a place especially for animals, doesn't it say somewhere that the lion will lay down with the lamb.
I am buring my lovely cat Sophie this morning she has been with us as a member of our family for 18 years. We are all going to miss her she gave us so much joy, fun and purring love. God will certainly have a place in animal for her.

SUCH A SAD BUT NICE TOPIC! GOD BLESS YOU.
AS PROBABLY, M OST OF YOU KNOW MANY, MANY YEARS AGO, AS I ALWAYS WAS A GREAT ANIMAL LOVER, WITH THE HELP OF MY DEAREST PARENTS, MAY THEM REST IN PEACE,WE RENOUNCED AT OUR SMALL WEEKEND HOUSE FROM THE COUNTRYSIDE FOR CHANGE IT'S DESTINATION INTO A SMALL SHELTER FOR ANIMALS, AS TO US THERE ARE SO MANY ANIMALS RUNNING ON THE STREETS, HOMELESS, STRAY DOGS AND CATS...DONT THINK, IT'S A SHELTER AS YOU HAVE THERE, NICE, MODERN...NO, IT'S A HUMBLE ONE. BUT WARM ONE. WE ' RECIEVED ALL THE STRAY S CATS AND DOGS WE COULD '.SO MANY FOR WE COULD CARE OF THEM.
SOME YEARS AGO MY DEAR PARENTS WENT AWAY, IN A BETTER PLACE, FOR SURE IN HEAVEN, BECAUSE THEY WERE SO GOOD, AND NOW I'M ALONE WITH MY EX-HUSBAND TO CARE OF THEM.
BUT THEY ARE OUR LOVE, OUR HAPPINESS, THEY ARE OUR FAMILY.
AS YOU CAN GUESS, WE ALL THE TIME FOUND OTHER AND OTHER STRAYS, WE COULDNT GIVE THEM ALL THEY NEEDED, BUT A LOT OF LOVE, A WARM FAMILY. AND I THINK , I HOPE, THEY WERE HAPPY WITH US, WE ALL TOGETHER, EVEWN IF POOR, WE WERE HAPPY
I FEEL SO MANY TIMES, GOD GAVE ME THIS REASON TO LIVE, THE POOR ANIMALS... AND I DO ALL I CAN
PROBLEMS WERE ALL THE TIME, BUT LOOKING BACK....IN TIME...LOOKING THEIR PICTURES....I AM GLAD I MADE THIS. THANKS TO MY DEAR PARENTS.
NOW I AM MOST OF TIME ALONE WITH THEM, BUT I AM NOT SAD. THEY GIVE ME SO MUCH LOVE AND REASON TI LIVE....
I AM SAD ONLY... WHEN ONE HAS TO GO... TO GOD, BECAUSE, YES, I BELIEVE, AS YOU, THAT GOD TAKE CARE OF THEM. THEY ARE IN THE LOVE OF OUR ETERNAL FATHER. I FEEL SO. AND I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE FROM THE DEATH... BECAUSE I'M SURE, I FEEL, WE WILL BE ALL TOGETHER, THERE AGAIN, INA BETTER WORLD, ALL HAPPY TOGETHER.
TWO WEEKS AGO I LOST ANOTHER OF THE DOGS. HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL ONE, NAMED PICUR. I FOUND HIMK 3 YEAR AGO, AS PUPPY, IN THE WATER, SOMEBODY LET HIM THERE TO DIE...
I TRIED TO SAVE HIM. HE WAS A WONDERFUL DOG, NICE, GREAT...HE WAS OUR BEAUTY. AT SEPTEMBER 27, HE DISAPPEARED IN THE WOODS... I WAITED FOR HIM, CRIED , CRIED SO LONG, BUT HE NEVER CAME BACK.
I KNEW, I HAD A STRANGE FEELING... PEOPLE DOESNT LIKE MY LITTLE SHELTER ON THE COUNTRYSIDE... THEY, THE POORS ARE NOISY SOMETIMES, I KNOW...
THEY SHOT HIM OR HE DIED IN SOME TRAP PUT IN THE FORESTS FOR CATCHING THE WILD ANIMALS....AND PICUR NEVER COME BACK.I LOOKED AFTER HIM IN ALL THE HILLS, WALLEYS...DIDNT FOUND HIM... THERE ARE A LOT OF TEARS AND MUCH MUCH LOVE FOR HIM AND FOR THE OTHERS, TOO, LOSTED, BECAUSE OF HUMAN EVILENSS...PRAY, FRIENDS, OR , THINK A MINUTE AT PICUR... MAY ALL THE ANIMALS REST IN PEACE IN A BETTER WORLD.
I SEND YOU ALL MY LOVE, BE BLESSED. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
PLEASE, FORGIVE MY GRAMMAR MISTAKES...
*Hello*
YEs I do, I have worked on this issue so much that I now have churches in the second largest City of our state which give and preform batisim on Animals whether Assistive Animals or Service Animals ( like the ones that help impaired people)
Because some beliefs or scripture suggests that without babtisim, you may not get into heavan ?
NOW the question is if you believe that your animals may go to heavan as I do strongly believe; then, HAve you had your animals batisized ?

Wow how wonderful is that to have animals baptised, i have never heard of it before but it is a lovely thought.
Accoerding to the Bible, baptism is for humans. Animals don't need them. I have no time to go into depth now, but maybe this article I have previously posted can explain the more:
OK, one quote from the article that may explain a little :
In the light of these Scriptures, I firmly believe that our loving almighty Creator intends all His creatures to enjoy heaven with Him forever. The only part of creation that will be missing from Heaven, according to the Bible, are those sinful human beings who neglect the great salvation that God has revealed in the Bible and provided through Christ.
People need to make a choice and therefore get baptized to sort of confirm that choice.
