Welcome to Ancient Greece & Rome! This is a space for all classicists-- and wanna be classicists-- to come together to share, discuss and debate.
So, introduce yourself! Are you a student, teacher, armchair historian? What fascinates you about the classics? What have you been learning? What questions are you looking to answer? Reading anything interesting (classics-related)?
Now that our group number has grown, I will really have to get to work and get some discussions started! Sorry I've been a little slow, folks! If there's anything any of you want to start a discussion on, just start a thread!

I'm an American, and my Mom is from Greece. I know little to nothing about the classics. Except whatever I may have lived through the sunshine of my mother. It seems my youngest boy developed an interest, and is surprisingly more knowledgable on the subject, and he's not in HS yet.

Welcome aboard! You'll notice that this is a pretty quiet group... being a student I don't have as much time to devote to this as I'd like. But it's always open for everyone to post any bits of knowledge they'd like to share or ask questions.
Now that I know we have at least one other latin-ite, I'll get some latin posted up here soonish.
Found this site while browsing group pages today. I'm a huge archaeology buff, and look forward to being at a field school next spring semester. I also love ancient civilizations (apart from the archaeology aspect), and I love mythology as well. So I think I'll fit right in.
