Hello to all of my dear sisters and brothers.
Here is a Live Osprey Cam from the Audubon. I thought you would enjoy this very much. Wonderful parents and chicks!
Hello everyone, very quick visit to say,- it is wierd what is going on, at loads of forums, I reckon it is the spies, cant believe Obama was spying on our emails here in Britain , made me laugh wonder what he would have made of this---------->>>>
Gornal rhyme about the Crooked House...
"Cum in an av sum hum brewd erl
Stop as lung as yom erbul
At a public called the Siden House
Weer the beer runs up the terbul."
Location - Himley - Near Dudley - West Midlands, England. UK
I will translate, "come in and have some home brewed ale,
stop as long as your able
At a pub called the siden>(means crooked) house
where the beer runs up the table
Now if Mr Obama had read the original version , without translation he wouldnt have had a clue, the poem is about a pub that is crooked due to subsidence, hope you enjoyed it, i have to fly , i have a meeting to attend, back soon love and hugs x wendy k x
Hello to all of my dear sisters and brothers.
So nice ot meet you Sue! Lynn I will keep you my daily prayers to keep away the hurricanes.
Very funny cat story Sue and an adorable Shetland Pony!!! Wow. He can really dance!
Hi Angel, Mary, Cheryl. I hope you are feeling better Cheryl. Yes I definately don't feel well without extra supplements.
I am still dancing Mary!
Sue, thanks for the laugh. I hadn't seen that article or video before and I was swaying in my chair to the music. Socks is so cute and so smart to have learned how to dance like Michael Jackson. I loved it and I'm forwarding it to others so that they can laugh also.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. We have a gloomy, rainy day here today and this little link made me so happy I decided to share it here. Enjoy. Be sure to read the whole article and then watch the video.
Good morning Angel how are you? Wendy how lovely to be able to put out the washing i know how you feel its such a change i live in ireland and we have the same weather here its changing today sadly hoping for more of this
HELLO EVERYONE, HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GREAT WEEKEND, THE WEATHER HAS BEEN SO WONDERFUL , I MANAGED TO GET WASHING DRY ON THE LINE, EVEN HEAVY STUFF, (FAINT) SO MUCH BETTER THAN HAVING IT ALL OVER THE HOUSE, THE SUN GIVES US THAT EXTRA HUMPH, ENERGY IN OTHER WORDS,
I AM SO HAPPY FOR MY SON, HE WENT TO WALES THURS NIGHT , RETURNING TOMOS, HE WORKS SO HARD, IT IS GREAT HE GETS GOOD WEATHER FOR THE BEACH, CAUSE LAST YEAR HE AND HIS GIRL WENT CAMPING, THE WEATHER WAS SOOOO BAD, HE HAD TO CHECK INTO A HOTEL, WHICH WASNT GREAT, HE CALLED IT FAULTY TOWERS, ANYWAY THIS LAST WEEKEND WILL HAVE MADE HIM FORGET LAST YEAR, EXCUSE THE CAPITALS, I HAVE A CATARAC, AND WHEN IT IS LATE I FIND IT HARD TO SEE THE PRINT, GOING TO HAVE IT REMOVED IN APPROX 4 MONTHS , FINALLY GOT IT ALL SORTED, I WAS A BIT SCARED INCASE IT WAS SOMETHING WORSE , SO SILLY AS IT WAS I PUT OFF FINDING OUT.

happy weekend Angel i hope you get sunshine; Lynn how wonderful to hear Alicia is doing so well shes a real trooper .i hope you and yours are spared the ravages of the hurricane i will keep you in my thoughts , Cheryl you sound much brighter i think the sunshine didd your spirit a lot of good its lovely to see you feeling better ,Barb how are you sweet sis?hello to Isabelle ,Sue and Wendy our new members you are so welcome
Cheryl, right now it's sunny here. It rained for about 15 minutes but it was more of a shower than hard rain. So far, there's just a warning about Amelia, but one never knows with hurricanes. I think with all the crazy and unpredictable weather going on all over the world, that Florida is in for some major hurricanes this season. I have hurricane shutters on my windows and I usually go to stay at either Sue's house (my daughter) or Alicia's sister's house.
By the way, Alicia is doing fine and is still participating in marathons and triathalons. She's such a trooper and a darling, to boot!
June 6 - 11:20 a.m.
Wow, Lynn, just read about storms (hurricane?) bearing down on Florida! Are you okay?
everyone! This is our 4th gorgeous sunny day in a row and I just LOVE the mornings... the fresh smells... the birds singing... my fatigue is disappearing!
Sue, I love the cat story... so funny but one could feel exhausted after reading it.
Ohhhhhh... the factory farming breaks my heart! I would not like to be around anyone who could treat animals so cruelly. They have to have something wrong with their heart. Has anyone heard more about that law prohibiting people from taking pictures of circus/factory/farm animals being treated cruelly? Every once in a while I hear something... then nothing. Was it passed? It is so obvious WHY certain people would want that. Arghhhhh!
Barb, thanks for suggestions, love. I do take "D" but I eat such healthy stuff that I didn't think I needed anything else. I'm going to ask my Dr. next time I see him. Something has to change here, although it does get better at times. I think the dull, dark winter really took a toll.
Lynn, Michael's song is enormously powerful. This is one I listened to many times. I miss his voice and the intensity of his songs; they can be very happy and make you want to dance, or full of pain - as this one. He really put his feelings into his music.
I may be a little late, but.....
HAPPY WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (DAY.... may all people wake up (especially governments) and get to work saving this beautiful world!
Thanks Angel... I heard nothing about this important day until you posted!
happy world environment day everybody
Hi everyone, so good to see some chattering going on in here!
Sue dear, although the title of the thread is "Lynn's Animal News", anyone can add any or comment about news that they have about animals. I really should change the name to "Any and All Animal News" so that everyone will know that it's their thread, also. I will do that now. Having said that, I'm going to transfer your comment and link to that thread.
Remember everyone, this group is a free and easy kind of group....no stepping on each other's feet. We all care about each other and each other's feelings. That makes it the great group that it is.
Glad you enjoyed the pill funny. This link arrived in a newsletter this morning and I just want to share it around to as many people as possible. Here is a link to Animals Australia's commercial, then PSA hoping to end factory farming. It is so well done. I imagine it could be life changing for many people that watch it! I set it to open in a new window. Just learned how to set a live link in a message, it is so easy when you know how!!
Welcome Wendy i hope you enjoy the gruop and stop by for lots of chats Sue that was hillarious thank you Hi Lynn how are you/Cheryl lovely to see you Barb how are you today Angel hello to you ?hello to Thubten and Les
Sue that was so funny, made me laugh out loud, it reminds me of the 12 days of Christmas, by (cant remember his name) but played Father Jack in "Father Ted" .

I purloined this from the Pagans group here in Care2. Enjoy. No matter how hard I try I cannot get it to space out nicely, but the words are still here.
How To Give Your Cat A Pill
1. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.
4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm, holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of Wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink 1 beer to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10. Retrieve cat from neighbour's shed. Get another pill. Open another beer. Place cat in cupboard, and close door onto neck, to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Drink beer... Fetch bottle of Scotch. Pour a shot, drink. Apply cold compress to cheek, and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Apply whiskey compress to cheek to disinfect. Toss back another shot. Throw Tee shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Call fire department to retrieve the damn cat from across the road. Apologize to neighbour who crashed
Into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie the little sucker's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table.
Find heavy-duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of filet steak. Be rough about it. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Consume remainder of scotch. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while Doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill & remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Arrange for SPCA to collect mutant cat from hell and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.
How To Give A Dog A Pill.....
1. Wrap it in bacon.
2. Toss it in the air.
Aww, did I really miss Thubten's birthday? I'm so sorry, dear Thubten. I wish you a belated
Cheryl, I knew something was wrong when I didn't see you in here with your wonderful comments in all the threads. Barb is right about the supplements but I think aside from C, you should take Vitamin B12 for energy. It really works. Feel better, dear sis.
Wendy, where are you? Yoo hoo!
Hello to all my dear sisters and brothers! HI Lynn, Cheryl, Mary, Wendy, Thubten, Les, Angel and anyone I missed that may be reading.
Happy Belated Birthday Thubten!
And Welcome Wendy. Nice to meet both of you!
Cheryl I am sorry you have been so fatigued. Try buying some vitamins and other supplements at Super Supplements (discounted) they might help. Especially for us older ladies try some Vitamin D and Calcium supplements. Hope they help you my good friend
So true about the rainbow, Mary.
And welcome again to WENDY!
Hi everyone... I haven't been here... fighting this horrible fatigue still. It comes and goes, but when it comes it decides to hang on to me awhile. I hope your wrist is getter better, Mary, and Lynn ... I hope you are better and doing well. And Angel ... it's so lovely to see you active here.
And THUBTEN... I hate that I've missed your birthday! So I'm saying it now....
I hope you had some cake and made some wishes. Let's all believe they will come true and its going to be a fantastically happy year for you!
happy birthday Thubten
having all my family for the weekend so i will be back during the week enjoy your weekend everybody
I'll certainly add my wishes to all along with Angel's and Mary:'s
Don't forget to do something nice for yourself!
Hi everyone! Weekend just about in progress.
Barb, so happy you had a good birthday and I see you got lovely cards! Thanks for that awesome video and the pictures of those amazing little owls! They look as though they are giggling all the time - I can almost hear them. lol Such cute little faces. Such tiny little bodies. Thank God for that bird sanctuary, and it was just meant to be that the woman found them and just didn't pass by what she thought were bits of cotton or fluff. How amazing it must feel to hold one in your hand.
Lynn, I have been thinking and wondering about you a lot because you are usually around more. But I do recall you saying you wouldn't be online as much. Don't EVER -- any of you -- feel bad about not posting for a while. Life takes us in many directions at times and we shouldn't have to feel 'obligated' to post here or anywhere else if we aren't up to it. JUST TO LET ALL OF YOU KNOW THAT WHEN SOMEONE ISN'T HERE FOR A WHILE, THAT OTHERS THINK OF THEM AND SEND HEALING, HAPPY THOUGHTS. Okay? We are sisters and brothers here, we love and care for one another, and that doesn't stop when and if someone doesn't post for a while.
Lynn, what a terrible, heavy time you've had. So many things all at once. I'm sorry to hear of your losses and I hope your daughter gets well soon and you start healing and feeling better really fast. You are a powerhouse and I don't expect you'll be 'down' long. Hang in there, sis.
Mary, that little white dog is soooo cute. Reminds me a bit of Lynn's little Mandy. Hope your rain has turned to sunshine. We are raining again today. It's so hard to get out in the yard and weed or do much of anything. But I'm sure we all will get our fair share sooner or later. Hope your wrist is getting better and better every day!
Hi Barb what cute little bobble heads these guys are its so lovely to hear you are dancing ,Lynn i am sorry to hear you arent feeling great its very annoying to be restricted from what you want to do i hope your daughter is feeling better and that the deermatitis clears up for you .Angel how are you today?Thubten how are you ?
HI Lynn so glad to hear from you, but sorry you haven't been feeling well. I hope you are feeling better now. I just love your elephant card!!! Just adorable.
And Mary thank you for your bird card. Very adorable birdie!!!
Thanks for your Happy Birthday's and yes I am still taking ballet classes 2 to 3 times a week!
I see your posts right away in my email!! I am so glad it works again!
Tiny Baby Owlets
Watch tiny Western Screech Owlets being weighed and fed upon intake at WildCare.
These tiny orphaned owls came to WildCare when they fell from their nest. Photo by Marian Eschen
When a San Anselmo resident found two tiny fluffy things on the side of her driveway, she carefully picked them up and then called WildCare's 24-Hour Hotline (415-456-SAVE). Our Hotline operator instructed her to keep the babies warm, and bring them to WildCare as soon as possible.
Upon admittance to the Wildlife Hospital, Medical Staff confirmed they were indeed tiny owls, so recently-hatched that each one had his "egg tooth" (which helps a bird break through the egg membrane and shell) still attached to his beak.
Story continues below...
WildCare is a tiny owl's only hope...
An newly orphaned wild baby has nowhere else to go. WildCare offers his only chance at life.
Too small to survive on his own after falling from his nest or otherwise losing his mother, he needs safety, warmth and proper nutrition to survive. If he's injured, he needs medical treatment too.
You can help! Donate now to support the tiny orphans in our Wildlife Hospital!

I haven't been active in a lot of groups. So much going on in my life....two deaths in the family within a 2 week period. Health issues with my daughter, I had a dermatitis on my back and two biopsies later it showed that it was a dermatitis from an unknown source. Weird, debilitating because I couldn't wear clothes that constricted my waist area and a downright nuisance! Then I caught (don't know where, I was in the house most of the time) a horrendous cold with a cough that hurt my whole body. Don't mean to complain but it's been a bad few months.
So, that's why I really didn't feel like chatting, but I'm here now to say "hi" and to wish Barb a very happy birthday. Also, to welcome Les back! So good to see you again, Les and to know that you had such a nice time in the Bahamas. I love the Bahamas!
Mary, Cheryl, Angel....thanks for keeping Chatter Box going. I feel guilty, as co-host, that I haven't been in here except to post the "Bird of the Week". Keep it going, even if I don't get a chance to come in, my sisters and brother Les.
Barb, your birthday is tomorrow so have a wonderful day and do all the happy things that you always love to do. Don't forget to dance, sis!
happy birthday Barb have a wonderful day ,don't forget to dance
Les how lovely to be soaking up the sun away from it all sounds idyllic welcome back
Hi Cheryl thank you so much for the birthday card!!! I love the koala bear and mouse with the delicious cake!
Thanks for the Happy Birthday to Baby Cheryl and Mary. How are you Lynn? Welcome back Les! Hi Angel.
Hi LES! Wow, it's always good to hear from you. So glad to hear you and your wife had such a wonderful time, and without some of the technology that controls us these days! The Bahamas - Wowee! That just shouts PEACE, DEEP RELAXATION, SMILES & LAUGHS, SUN TAN, YUMMY FOOD... and so much more. I hope all those things stay with you both for a long time. Have a great week, Les!
Hi all---back from the Bahamas. Had a really great time with 4 friends and my wife. The plane ride both going to and coming from was rediculous. We were on Elbow Cay--no clocks, no tv---it was great!. It will take a little while to totally catch up as when I opened my email I had about 3,000 to sort through. I'll get them taken care of eventually. I hope all have been well and that each of you have a gentle and fun week.
This post was modified from its original form on 13 May, 12:56
morning Angel have a lovely monday Cheryl i know its late but i saw this and i thought of you happy mothers day all moms of kids whether they be human furry or feathery
This post was modified from its original form on 13 May, 4:06
Lots of LOVE to my sisters for their MOTHERING of human/fur/feather babes, and even those we haven't actually touched, because I know we have mothering love for those we haven't, i.e. elephants.
Mary - I guess that's why Ireland is so green, eh? lol Today we are raining cats and dogs so we're pretty green too!
its very stormy here Cheryl i think the weather can't make up its mind what season it wants to be ,i'm glad you are getting to enjoy some sun i hope Lynn and barb are too i know Angel is probably the same as me brrrr maybe Les and Thubten are in their gardens popping off to see phoebe now
Good morning...oops, afternoon, everyone!
Barb, sorry to hear about your sister but happy to hear she is doing better and on her way back to health. Ugh... perforated ulcer! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY... and yours is coming up, Barb. (Watch for birthday messages here! ) Happy to hear you are busy and happy. I just know there's a great new year coming up for you! So glad to see you here. I'm on my way to see our Phoebe and babes after this posting. Glad you are peeking in at her.
Hi Mary and Angel... and just where could our LYNN be these days? And THUBTEN, too. And it's always wonderful to hear from our brother LES. Lynn did say that she was cutting down her time on computer so I know she'll be here when she is able.
Third sunny day in a row here... YIPPEE! It's hot and nicely predictable for a bit. Oh how I have missed this weather. How is yours doing "over there" Mary and Angel? lol
I'm off to check Phoebe.
Aint Spring wonderful?
Hi Barb i hope your sister is doing better , happy birthday belatedly to Beenie how are you doing?for Beenie
Hi Cheryl, Lynn, Angel, Mary, Les! I have been thinking of all of you and thinking of Cheryl and her posts of hummingbird nests!
I have been so busy I don't know where the time goes. I am good and Baby and Beenie are good! My oldest sister became extremely ill with a perforated ulcer in her small intestine but she is doing allot better now. Still very week but improving. My sister that lives close to me drove to Montana to help her at home for a few weeks until she gets stronger again.
I have been busy as usual with work. I was Baby's birthday last month and he is 17 years old. I will be 60 this month!
Love, prayers and big hugs.
Barb, Baby and Beenie
Hi sisters and brother Les. Love the elephant Mary, and thanks for the love Angel!
I'm about 90% out of that funk called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) as we have lots of flowers in our yard, and how can anyone feel depressed when they are looking at such beautiful things... and all the green trees behind us.... and a sunny day to boot! What kind of weather is everyone having? I think Thubten has autumn happening in Australia but most of us are experiencing Springtime. Fascinating, eh?
Try to take a look at the baby hummingbirds dear friends. They are growing fast. They are such little miracles. To think that the cosy nest they are in is really very tiny and partially made with soft spider webs!
hello Cheryl and Angel Lynn Barb Les and Thubten i hope your having a lovely day
hello Angel and Cheryl how are you doing?Cheryl how lovely to hear aboout our frirnd Phoebe i am looking forward to see the babies
There's a brand new Hummingbird babe in PHOEBE'S nest this early morn. - go see her! SO CUTE! In celebration for Earth Day. I wonder what his/her name will be?
Hey... Angel and Mary... I see who gets up early! So happy to see you both here. Have a beautiful day on this beautiful planet of ours. It is just after 6:00 a.m. here and although there's frost on the ground, the sky is totally clear.... so that means a day! YAY!!
It's so GOOD to see everyone!
Big hugs back to you, Angel luv. Happy that you and Mary are getting a little better weather. I think we three have somewhat the same weather... snow, rain, sun, snow, rain, rain, rain, frost, snow, sun.....
Mary, I sure hope your wrist is getting better. I know you've found a way to hold your grandbaby! We do what we have to do!
LES... it's such a pleasure to have you join us! I really smiled while reading about your escapades - planting gardens, pansies, dancing, laughing (I bet "eating" is in there somewhere, especially at the wedding)... and by now you'll have your dear Mom living with you. It's lovely to hear that you and your wife and your Mom will be enjoying many cups of tea and laughter together. I'm so happy you all are well.
Thubten, I LOVE that pic. It is filled with enormous JOY that comes right through the pic and makes one smile. Very powerful pic. It's so good to see you! What's the weather and season in Aussieland? I think it's autumn there, right?
Lynn, Trent is such a handsome little fellow. Like I said, he sure has mischeviousness in his face so the "terrible 2's" will probably be very active days for his parents. It shows they have a mind of their own and don't they know it! How are you doing? I do hope you have recooped from your bumps and bruises. Stay careful and well dear friend.
Actually, you are all SISTERS and it's great to have BROTHER Les join us!
It's just about my bedtime so.....
Sweet dreams everyone.
The wedding was really enjoyable as I got to see relatives that I had not seen for a long time.I danced up a storm---willl probably pay for that tomorrow. When we got home there was a message on our voice mail that my mom will be able to come to our home tomorrow afternoon which will mean that I will have to finish setting up her room in the early a.m.
As always I hope that all my friends here are in good health and life is being gentle for you at this time.
Hi Les how lovely to see you sounds like you have a busy day planned time planting and visiting family is so wonderful enjoy it ,Thubten how are you today my dear friend ?how are things in aus ?Lynn i was so surprised that Trent is two he looks so cute in thoose glasseshow are your family doing ,Angel how are you this windy and wet morning? Love you! ♥
Smile, and have a happy day/weekend!
Les, it's so good to see you again and to hear that your wife and mom are doing well. It's wonderful that your mom will be coming to stay with you. She needs closeness, love and support at this time of her life. Congratulations to your nephew on his marriage. May they live a long and happy life together.
Mary, thanks so much for the cute 2nd birthday card for Trent. He's adorable and sweet and starting his terrible two's because he's into anything and everything. We were at a restaurant last week and he was sitting on my daughter's lap (Sue is the grandmother, which I can't believe!) and he took her glasses and put them on. A little crooked but so cute so naturally I grabbed my camera. Here he is:
Cheryl, Barb and Autumn, I'm so happy that you're back with us. We've got to keep this wonderful little group of sisters and brothers together always. Love you all! ♥âº
The concert went really great and was well attended last night. Today my wife and I are going out to get the seeds we need for our vegetable gardens and maybe some pansies for our window boxes. Probably will stop by to visit my mom along the way (she will be coming to stay with us beginning on Thursday. Tomorrow we will be going to see my nephew take his wedding vows. Hope all are well.
for Trent give him a big hug
hi sisters Lynn i cant believe your Trent is two already he is such a cute little guy i love his tiger face .Morning Angel and Cheryli hope your having a great weekend ,i know you are all busy thanks for the kind wishes my dear ones
You're right, Angel! Yippee! Looks like this gang has celebrated already. lol
It is so good to see you all -- brought huge smile to my face!
Angel, it's so great to have you so active and posting great pics.
Mary, BABY TOM is so beautiful!! I am always so taken by a newborn's eyes... they look like they are all saying, "Okay, where am I and what's going on, and how come I can't move?" I hope you'll keep posting on your thread so we can watch this precious little boy grow. Oh my, I wish I had one! I sure hope that wrist gets better soon. Physio should help a lot.
Lynn, I can't believe "our" Trent is TWO! Wow... time sure went by fast because "yesterday" he was only ONE! lol What a mischevious little grin he has... just like a 2-year-old should!
Barb, you sound so happy and it's so good to see you! I'm so happy to hear that Baby and Beenie are well too. You deserve some good times after everything you've been through.
Thank you sisters for keeping our little group going. I want to give you all a big hug so badly. We are finally getting some days of sunshine here and there. I can't tell you how good it feels. Mary, I hope your "artic" changes soon. Spring flowers do a lot for one's soul. I have a few on my bedroom dresser... so sweet smelling! Yum!
HAVE A VERY HAPPY FRIDAY, DEAR SISTERS!
P.S. Anyone watching the Jodi Aries trial??
What wonderful news, Mary. They're so precious at any age, so enjoy every moment with him. Here's my guy with face paint on. He'll be two next month. Can you believe it?

Mary Congratulations on your new grandson!
Love, prayers and big hugs to all.
Barb, Baby and Beenie!!!
Awwww... thank you dear Angel! I have missed you and everyone so much! We really do become a part of one another's life!
I notice there are still latency probs and I can't get into my photo albums.... well, I can get into them but the photos aren't there. The thumbnail shows but when clicked on there's nothing there! I added my message to one of the groups' threads where a whole lot of people are having the same probs. Oh me oh my.... but we carry on, don't we.
This is the first time I've been here since that last long ago post and -- IT'S DOES MY HEART SO MUCH GOOD TO SEE YOU ALL HERE - Mary, Lynn, Barb, Angel! My heart is full!
A belated happy St. Patrick's Day to you all, and Passover week to you Lynn.
There are tulips and daffodils and crocus bringing me smiles and joy in my backyard. We are finally emerging from the "Despair Weather" and this weekend is ALL sunshine! Thank you, God!
I can't believe how many bumps and bruises and broken bits so many of you have endured.
Mary, I get a mental picture of your injuries from the fall off your horse and all you've been through. I am so glad to hear you are healing and will be back to romping about (carefully) in the near future. I love your snow picture. We here have missed out on a good snow this year. Something about snowy days that can be so beautiful, and most often they are followed by cold but sunny days.
CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of little TOM!! Oh my, what a proud Grannie you must be. I will post something on your special thread. Wee precious little boy! I am so happy for you!
Lynn, I am so sorry to hear of that bad fall!! Boy, that must have been scary, and those falls can happen so quickly that you find yourself on the ground without remembering how you got there. So happy Trent is okay. And I always thought that when one gets something like tennis elbow it could at least be because of the activity of playing tennis, for Pete's sake. I wonder who named it that... a tennis player, no doubt. I LOVED watching the Swan Lake video. I've always loved ballet. NEVER seen anything like that, though; so very beautiful. And your picture is beautiful!
Barb, so good to see you! Glad to hear you're doing Photo Shop things... we'll expect a few pictures or samples, yah? Glad to hear Baby and Beenie are doing well. You sound busy and happy and that makes me smile. You were AWOL for awhile (look whose talking) and missed.
Angel, luv, it's so wonderful to have you back in the group. Thanks for all the great pics. I hope you came through that blizzard okay. Weather all over the world has been crazy the last few years. You sound happy and spry and I know you are always busy working for our world's animals.
Thanks to all of you sisters for posting such happy pictures. Certainly made me smile when I came on this morning. I plan to get right back into this group and have missed you all so much.

How wonderful, Mary. You have a new grandson. I know, even though he was premature, that he'll grow up to be a healthy boy. I wish you and your family all the luck in the world. A new life is born around Easter and Passover time. How marvelous is that?

I had a bad fall Wednesday. I was with my granddaughter and great-grandson and I was "driving" my great-grandson on my walker which has a seat on it. The seat has a back rest and Trent was sitting forward, holding on to the back rest in front of him. We came to a ramp for the disabled and I started to move the walker on to the ramp but it wasn't smooth. There was a lip at the beginning, the wheels got stuck and the walker started tipping forward with the baby going head first. In trying to keep the walker from going forward, I lost my balance and we both went down with the baby (he'll be two in May) "folded" in the walker, flat on his stomache. He wasn't hurt, thank God, but I am bruised all over including the tennis elbow I was trying to get rid of. A man came rushing out of the store and he picked me up as if I weighed two pounds. He then led us into the store and gave me a glass of cold water because I was pretty shaken up. Trent got a lolly pop and was very happy. The man, who I knew from having dealt with him before, was my hero of the day. My granddaughter said it all happened so fast that she didn't have a chance to react.
Anyway, I had been trying to cut back on the computer to take care of my tennis elbow and now I really have to cut back so I can nurse my wounds. lol I'll still be making tags because that totally relaxes me and it's fun. I'll still be around here and there so you'll be seeing me somewhere. Love to all.
Barb, I think I can help you with PhotoShop. I work with PaintShopPro but there can't be too much difference between the two. Holler if you need any help. To everyone else, and Barb too, of course, I send my love and I hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Love you all.
Hi Angel hi everyone

Hello to all of my dear sisters and brothers, Cheryl, Lynn, Mary, Les and Angel. Hello Angel nice to meet you!!! I thought I placed a post in here last week but don't see it. It said that I really missed all of you very much!!!
I have been working too much!I have been trying to learn how to use Photo Shop And I have been working with some graphics to put into my Adkreator program besides all of the advertising I work on. And I am resting. I am doing pretty good and still dancing. My arthritis flares up like tonight and I get tired, but doing well for an almost 60 year old.
Baby and Beenie are doing well, too! I will take more pictures soon.

Hi, to all my wonderful sisters and brothers. It's been a while since I've posted here. First I felt burned out and had to rest from Care2 and then I got tennis elbow, without the benefit of the exercise! lol The doctor said that I had to limit my time on the computer because the angle of my arm when using the mouse was exacerbating the inflamation of the tendons. It's feeling a bit better now, although the shot in the elbow (ouch!) that she gave me didn't work at all. I've had to wear an elasticized ace bandage sleeve to keep the arm stable.
Cheryl dear, I'm so sorry that you've been depressed because of the constant rain. I know the feeling and it really saps your strength and emotions. Rainy days make me blue and when it keeps raining with no sun in sight, it's very depressing. It's a good sign that you see little plants peeping out of the ground. It shows that spring is coming and you should be feeling better when the weather changes. We're here for you to talk to whenever your heart desires, sis. We love you dearly.
Mary, oh Mary,...you fell off a horse? That's a long fall because horses are so big and tall. I'm so very sorry that you're bruised and battered from it. I know it's bad that you broke your wrist but thank God you didn't break anything else. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy healing and complete recovery.
A friend sent this to me and I think you'll all enjoy it. It's the Chinese State Circus performing Swan Lake. I don't think Tchaikovsky had this choreography in mind when he wrote " Swan Lake ." How could anyone imagine the performance you are about to see? With a population of nearly 1.5 billion, the Chinese had to locate one great dancer with strength and gymnastic skills..... and they did. Watch this superb performance:
Hi sisters Mary and Angel - thanks so much for your thoughts. Mary, you are such a positive person and gives me strength to see things through till spring.... I know it's on its way by those flowers poking through the earth. I can hardly wait. I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR about your horse accident! You are doing really well with one finger typing! I bet you are bruised and battered in a few other places as well and I hope and pray you heal quickly.
Angel, thanks for your lovely pics, love and hugs. And... now that Monday has gone I am peeking out now and then. What it is about Mondays anyway? I guess it shows that a three-day weekend is necessary! lol
Love you all.
Cheryl i am sorry you were so blue its dark and gloomy here as well but i think the sun is trying to push his head through spring is always so hopeful sending hugs to you
Hi Cheryl ,Lynn ,Barb Angie Dougie Les Thubten and everyone ,i had an accident and broke my wrist i'mtyping with one finger now so i won't be around much i fell from a horse so i'm pretty bashed up right now love and hugs to all
Hello my dear friends. Mary, thanks for that last cheerful picture! I found this thread had slipped into the archives, so if anyone has been looking for it - that's where it's been hiding.
I am sorry I haven't been here for over a month (?) and I have missed everyone terribly. I have been suffering a debilitating depression that has sapped me of so much energy and good feelings that I've spent more time in bed than out of it in the last month and a half. The main reason for it, I believe, is the gray, rainy sky I've been waking up to every morning. Honestly, our weather has NEVER (that I remember) been so dismal. I can't even look out the windows because although the sky is gloomy and gray, it is also bright and can bring on headaches/migraines.
This is the FIRST DAY I've been on my computer, other than to play solitaire, in over a month... no emails, no FB, no Care2.... no nothin'! It feels so good to be here. And that's probably because we have some sunshine today. We have had so few sunny days I think I can count them on one hand.
I hope and pray everyone has been well and having better days than I've had lately. Today I saw some of our early spring flowers pushing through the earth and that brings a smile to my face and hope to my heart.
Thanks to all who are continuing to be Chatterboxers.... and I see some new posts have been done and I'm going to read them right now!
Love you all very much.
hello sisters and Les ,Lynn i always thought florida was always sunny well you learn something every day .Cheryl i think post when you can is a great idea i love our laid back group its nice to feel no pressuer and lovely to hear from you all .Les i'm sure you will be around from time to time sending best wishes for your wife
Hi dear sisters - and brother Les, I am delighted to hear your wife is home. I can imagine the pain that comes with her injury as those bones heal. I hope she has a little something to help ease the pain. Cartwheels? lol We shall certainly look forward to hearing when she starts to do that!
Lynn, thanks for starting a new thread. I have been negligent -- I understand the "burn out" as I have also gone through it. I tried to keep up and "please" many who expected daily postings -- (NOT THIS GROUP -- we are free here to come and go as we can)! People have other things to do in their day to day living and it's impossible to be everything to everyone. We have to stop and take a good look at where we are and where we want to go.
Wow, I didn't think it ever got cold in Florida! There are a great many retired Canadians down there soaking up the rays.
Here's something I'd like to share with you all. I was in the grocery store yesterday and saw this lovely elderly woman with a light pink knitted hat on that looked so pretty. When I got close to her I admired her hat and told her how pretty it was on her and how it matched her scarf so perfectly. She gave me a big smile and told me about her friend knitting it for her 100th birthday, which was the next day (now today). Here she was pushing the grocery cart around, doing her own shopping, and looking forward to her birthday party. What a beautiful person she is. She is a member of two hospital boards and does palliative care for others. I couldn't help but see how wonderful she must be at helping others with their quality of life. So there.... we are all youngsters!!
Have a happy day, dear friends, or a happy night if that's the case. Love you.
Thanks to everyone who has asked about and sent best wishes my wife's way. It is certainly good to have her home. She continues to be in a lot of pain, but certainly is improving daily---I think cartwheels next week?? Well, maybe not. Lynn I certainly hope that all goes well for you. I too am thinking of scaling back somewhat myself.
Hi everyone, hope your year is going well, so far. Mary, it isn't always warm in Florida. I was freezing in 40 degree temp. when we went to Disneyworld last week. It went down to 36 that night. It gets even colder in northern Florida, like Tallahassee (the Capitol) and that area.
Les, I hope your wife is doing well. It must feel so good to have her home and I'm sure she feels the same way. Home is where the heart is.
I'm trying to take somewhat of a break from Care2. Only posting in my favorite groups like this one, and even then, not too often. I got burned out from doing too much in several areas in Care2 and feeling like I had a responsibility to keep it up. Everyone understands, so it's all good. Love and hugs to you all.
hello Cheryl ,Lynn ,Les and everyone ,i hope your new year is starting well for you Les,ihope your wife is feeling better now that shes home . Cheryl is it snowing in canada?its wet and misty here but quite mild .i suppose its always warm in florida Lynn or is it?
